Very luxurious and peaceful resort, close to Santo Domingo, but felt like a world away. Beach was clean and the staff was very nice. The restaurant over the water was great. Nice pools to enjoy a drink, horse stables, gym, tennis, courts, and many things to do if you didn't want just the beach. Also a church for wedding (a wedding was going on when we arrived, and it looked beautiful!). All-around, was wonderful.

A hidden gem in Juan Dolio. It’s across the street from the beach in a very quiet and secluded area. Beautiful gardens, very spacious and clean rooms. Many great amenities a short stroll away, gym, church, restaurants, pool and private beach.

This is a really nice place to stay for a couple of days. The hotel itself has one restaurant and a pool, although the pool was out of service during our stay. The hotel is connected to Club Hemingway and it is beautiful. Food quality is good. There is limited service during the week. Overall, a very nice stay.

The Hotel overall very nice, at the time I visited (May) they were doing alot of construction upkeep. Two of the three dinning options were closed. There were still others available. Breakfast was great, make sure you can speak Spanish well.

The first room we were in was not great. We asked to be switched. We had a view of a wall on ground level, the bathroom sink wasn’t draining and at 9:30 am there was very loud drilling in the room next door and because we were directly behind the check in desk, there was a lot of lobby noise. The 2nd room on a higher floor was fantastic. The restaurant service however was pretty poor. We waited so long to be tended to almost every time even when there were very few others dining and food was very slow to come out. The food was only mediocre. The facilities and property were beautiful and felt very safe, however we found restaurants closed at strange times and there was no overall guide explaining the hours of each. Generally we spent more time walking around confused than enjoying our meals.

This Hotel is not a four star property by a long shot, the rooms are in dire need of remodeling, the hotel is a long walk from the beach, towels are very old and worn out and smelly. The beach is nice and clean and the Embarcadero restaurant has a nice menu. Hotels.com need to inspect this property and classify the same as a 3 star property at best. PS. Don’t try to charge anything to your room, room service is cash or credit cards on delivery

This property is in dire need of remodeling, the facility is very old, nothing seems to work, the free breakfast is horrible, the tiles are very old and with a foul smell, the beach is a very very long walk through other buildings and streets, this place is use mostly by local tourists and some minor league baseball players and coaches that come for training at San Pedro de Macorís, please avoid at all cost. Hotels.com needs to reevaluate this property, it is not a four star property and very expensive for what you get

From the moment you walk in you feel and smell the cleanliness of this place. Hotel Casa Hemingway is kept immaculate and so was the room I was in 201. You can see and feel how well the sheets are washed. I will definitely recommend this hotel you will not regret it. It is as nice or better than what it looks like in the pictures.

I thought the property was nice, but not necessarily reflective of the price. A little further away from the beach than I thought. Breakfasts and meals were good. Grounds were well kept and enjoyable. Mattress was way too soft for my liking and probably my most negative experience. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The size of the suites were amazing In the balcony was absolutely beautiful! The patio furniture on the balcony might need a little bit more attention from the cleaning staff and providing a few more towels to the room. Everything else was absolutely spectacular. The king size bed was so comfortable including the bedding and pillows. I would definitely recommend this place. A few more vegetarian options would be great for breakfast but overall it was absolutely delicious. The cleaning stuff was very friendly.

Bellissima struttura di recente costruzione in mezzo al verde. Parcheggio privato e sorveglianza ad ogni entrata. Lussuoso,pulito, ben curato. Ho acquistato una junior suite con colazione ( ottima) e ho usufruito di un appartamento con camera matrimoniale, bagno, soggiorno, angolo cottura attrezzato è un bellissimo terrazzino. Nulla da eccepire. La località ha una bellissima spiaggia pulita in cui sono ad uso gratuito degli ospiti lettini e ristoranti. Unica nota dolente è che a parte la spiaggia, la località non offre nulla. Grazie al personale reception super gentile.

Casa Hemingway was beautiful with outstanding service from the reception to the cleaning crew. The restaurant service, food and staff were all amazing and accommodating to our family. Thank you for making our stay memorable. We will return!

Hotel Hemingway was a beautiful place, short walk across the street to their sister property Club Hemingway with access to the beach and short walk to an excellent Argentinian restaurant called Paladart. Service was excellent from the gentleman at front desk (sorry I forgot his name). There is some construction on a sidewalk in between the hotel but they were done by 5ish.

The grounds were stunning and immaculate and staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast options included with the stay could have been more varied but the dining options in the area for the remainder of the day were fantastic.

Check in was a breeze , no issues at all. Staff were quiet attentive in the dining , bar , front desk . Also to give a shout out to the chef ! Great dinner . I will return when given the opportunity. 5 ⭐️

The first room we were in was not great. We asked to be switched. We had a view of a wall on ground level, the bathroom sink wasn’t draining and at 9:30 am there was very loud drilling in the room next door and because we were directly behind the check in desk, there was a lot of lobby noise. The 2nd room on a higher floor was fantastic. The restaurant service however was pretty poor. We waited so long to be tended to almost every time even when there were very few others dining and food was very slow to come out. The food was only mediocre. The facilities and property were beautiful and felt very safe, however we found restaurants closed at strange times and there was no overall guide explaining the hours of each. Generally we spent more time walking around confused than enjoying our meals.

This Hotel is not a four star property by a long shot, the rooms are in dire need of remodeling, the hotel is a long walk from the beach, towels are very old and worn out and smelly. The beach is nice and clean and the Embarcadero restaurant has a nice menu. Hotels.com need to inspect this property and classify the same as a 3 star property at best. PS. Don’t try to charge anything to your room, room service is cash or credit cards on delivery

This property is in dire need of remodeling, the facility is very old, nothing seems to work, the free breakfast is horrible, the tiles are very old and with a foul smell, the beach is a very very long walk through other buildings and streets, this place is use mostly by local tourists and some minor league baseball players and coaches that come for training at San Pedro de Macorís, please avoid at all cost. Hotels.com needs to reevaluate this property, it is not a four star property and very expensive for what you get

Very luxurious and peaceful resort, close to Santo Domingo, but felt like a world away. Beach was clean and the staff was very nice. The restaurant over the water was great. Nice pools to enjoy a drink, horse stables, gym, tennis, courts, and many things to do if you didn't want just the beach. Also a church for wedding (a wedding was going on when we arrived, and it looked beautiful!). All-around, was wonderful.

A hidden gem in Juan Dolio. It’s across the street from the beach in a very quiet and secluded area. Beautiful gardens, very spacious and clean rooms. Many great amenities a short stroll away, gym, church, restaurants, pool and private beach.

The Hotel overall very nice, at the time I visited (May) they were doing alot of construction upkeep. Two of the three dinning options were closed. There were still others available. Breakfast was great, make sure you can speak Spanish well.

If you are looking for an amazing place to stay with great food, great service, calm beaches and a low key location, then you can't miss Hemingway. This is truly a place to relax and just enjoy beach life. This is far from the hustle and bustle of Punta Cana, although there are some small clubs nearby. Just a fantastic place.

Wasn’t as good as I’d hoped. But before the negative, the positive: it’s an absolutely GORGEOUS hotel half an hour from the airport! You get the beach, the views and a natural oasis in the middle of the city. The grounds are truly beautiful! It’s definitely magical place that has worked to preserve nature. The negative: Requested a non-smoking room, but managed to get a smoke filled room. Booked the standard junior suite with tub and called out the request for a tub - no tub. I feel like there was a lot more to take advantage of, but didn’t have any kind of intro. The room not being what I requested would have been fine, just would appreciate the mention as check in.
