We had a bad experience to start the holiday by getting stuck in the lift on the first day. The staff sorted this and the lady on reception went over and above to ensure the rest of our stay went smoothly. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful particularly the dosa. The breakfast team were all good and Sonapreet the young lad on the dosa counter always made sure we had everything we wanted and everything we wanted was brought to us.

I booked through Hotels.com and signed up to pay at the venue.Two months before the arrival date, the hotel sent me insistent, unprofessional messages asking for full payment upfront. I had no issues paying, but the handling of the matter by Le Meridien was appalling. There is only one proper restaurant on site (and two bars) (although they advertise 3 restaurants) More than 25% of the dishes on the menu are 'out of stock'. For our entire stay (9 days) the restaurant could not come up with prawns. Perhaps they want you to avail of the buffet, but then why offer a la carte? There is zero co-ordination between the front office, the restaurant, the pool bar, etc. We had to sign in when using the pool. Other times, not. Sometimes we had to pay at the pool bar, other times, we had to charge to the room. The Front Office staff are ignorant about hospitality- I was pointedly told at they did not have a concierge facility, so could not help with any suggestions for where to go. The Supervisor there was helpful but the rest of the staff refuse to make eye contact. They just type on their computers. I received more information from the taxi drivers who stand outside the hotel. I have stayed at other Le Meridien hotels and this was abysmally disappointing in comparison. Some five stars must be granted: The Games Room (clean, well appointed, and appeals to all ages) The Gym (good equipment, modern) Location (12 min to beach)

Poor attitude of Swastik, the manager who does not know how to treat senior citizens. Checkin process was cumbersome and had to listen to the lecture of Swastik who will not take pan card for Senior citizens as ID and delayed getting to our rooms. Check out was also bad as the same person will not give late checkout initially in spite of being a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite. The property itself was OK but the maintenance staff as puttiysoap water down the walking ramp and in the game room at any time leading to multiple slips and fall of my kids.

Over an average property… Not sure if it’s worth the money that we paid. Typical 4 star hotel. Medium-size pool, small gym and facilities. The hotel is in need of a renovation. Carpets are worn and torn in many areas and needs to be replaced. The main building elevator smells of food. If you enter the breakfast buffet (latest recipe), your clothes, smell of food… Maybe there’s a problem with the ventilation and extraction in the buffet restaurant… Would recommend the hotel please take a look at this and address this. The staff at the restaurant were extremely helpful and made special food for my father, who has got many allergies and intolerances. Special kudos to the chef Nitin, who went out of his way to help with special dishes

Few things went wrong in our stay but the staff, particularly, Mr. Amol worked really hard to make up for it. In the end we left happy. Third floor passage had old stench which spilt over in the rooms. The hotel needs to do something about it.

To start off, the food overall is good. However room service menu hardly has any sea food goan/ local options.. i had to fight my way with multiple people to get a rawa fried prawn to the room immediately upon checking in. Rooms are decent and clean. There were drainage issues in my room which we had to get corrected on the first day itself

From the moment we checked in till the time we checked out, we had a most wonderful experience. Rooms were spotless, staff incredibly friendly, welcoming and nothing that they couldn’t do or help with. We were treated very well. Our experience with our meals at the hotel great. Tasty, delicious, breakfast/dinner. Can’t praise the chefs and staff who served us enough. Well done L Meredian, you exceeded our expectations!!! We loved our stay with you 😊😊

Although overall experience with this property was good, a few pointers can help improve the rating. Cleanliness - There was a constant unpleasant odor in the shower area. Which was brought to notice of the staff yet went unnoticed and never addressed. Even when we asked the staff to spray room fresher, they never addressed the issue. Water collected outside the shower door and the thin doormats did not help curb it. Laundry - Our clothes were returned unwashed with stains and odor , but folded :D Food safety - One of the nights we found unattended food in our room (which we had not ordered). Not sure how long it was left open. Buffet breakfast contained stale yogurt which was not corrected even after informing the staff.

Checked in there was blood on the duvet and bed sheets, complained took a day to rectify and then they had the audacity to asm on at check out how was the stay besides the blood on the sheets. Restaurant food was ok service absolutely sucks, staff constantly buzzing around asking if everything is ok clearly for wanting a tip. Housekeeping literally stands outside your door waiting when u are about to check out again for tips. 4 days the place did my head in next time will shell out that little extra and go TAJ where services are as they should be. Blood on sheets is disgusting, clearly they dont actually always change sheets between customers.

We had an unforgettable stay at Le Meridien Calangute. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of excellent. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with a welcome drink and even offered an early check-in, along with the option to store our bags when we had to step out. The rooms were impeccably clean and well-maintained. The staff, particularly Johngphe, Chuba, and the rest of the front desk team, were incredibly friendly and attentive. The breakfast was a highlight, with a fantastic spread, and the restaurant staff provided exceptional service. We’re already looking forward to returning and staying longer next time!

The Service and staff are really good. The built is ok ok. The rooms and corridor feel claustrophobic. The Buffet is no way close to 5* standards. There is no decent variety, no English Breakfast, deserts are basic. I think this place needs an overhaul
The Service and staff are really good. The built is ok ok. The rooms and corridor feel claustrophobic. The Buffet is no way close to 5* standards. There is no decent variety, no English Breakfast, deserts are basic. I think this place needs an overhaul

To start off, the food overall is good. However room service menu hardly has any sea food goan/ local options.. i had to fight my way with multiple people to get a rawa fried prawn to the room immediately upon checking in. Rooms are decent and clean. There were drainage issues in my room which we had to get corrected on the first day itself

From the moment we checked in till the time we checked out, we had a most wonderful experience. Rooms were spotless, staff incredibly friendly, welcoming and nothing that they couldn’t do or help with. We were treated very well. Our experience with our meals at the hotel great. Tasty, delicious, breakfast/dinner. Can’t praise the chefs and staff who served us enough. Well done L Meredian, you exceeded our expectations!!! We loved our stay with you 😊😊

We had an unforgettable stay at Le Meridien Calangute. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of excellent. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with a welcome drink and even offered an early check-in, along with the option to store our bags when we had to step out. The rooms were impeccably clean and well-maintained. The staff, particularly Johngphe, Chuba, and the rest of the front desk team, were incredibly friendly and attentive. The breakfast was a highlight, with a fantastic spread, and the restaurant staff provided exceptional service. We’re already looking forward to returning and staying longer next time!

Over an average property… Not sure if it’s worth the money that we paid. Typical 4 star hotel. Medium-size pool, small gym and facilities. The hotel is in need of a renovation. Carpets are worn and torn in many areas and needs to be replaced. The main building elevator smells of food. If you enter the breakfast buffet (latest recipe), your clothes, smell of food… Maybe there’s a problem with the ventilation and extraction in the buffet restaurant… Would recommend the hotel please take a look at this and address this. The staff at the restaurant were extremely helpful and made special food for my father, who has got many allergies and intolerances. Special kudos to the chef Nitin, who went out of his way to help with special dishes

Staff was amazing. They really made the stay amazing. More so the restaurant staff truly hit the mark making our stay amazing—Moumita- Assisrant food Bev manager was so accommodating and made anything we liked.. truly amazing. They even made a cake and scribbled bonvoyage on plate. Such a great touch! They also had best toilet paper in India. Everywhere else paper was so hard. Theirs was so soft.

The property is good and well maintained. Prices and good too as per the 5*. But what's Impressive is the Service. I would say the hotel is 5* but the Service is 7* I have names of some gems working there. I will soon share that with the hotel authorities. Check in staff at lobby were extremely rude and condescending, they attempted to downgrade our rooms which were originally booked on the prior to visit their attitude was unprofessional and upsetting. Pool side staff were also rude and disrespectful. Otherwise the room service staff who were responsible for cleaning rooms and laundry were excellent, they are the reason that I am not giving a 1 star review.

I booked through Hotels.com and signed up to pay at the venue.Two months before the arrival date, the hotel sent me insistent, unprofessional messages asking for full payment upfront. I had no issues paying, but the handling of the matter by Le Meridien was appalling. There is only one proper restaurant on site (and two bars) (although they advertise 3 restaurants) More than 25% of the dishes on the menu are 'out of stock'. For our entire stay (9 days) the restaurant could not come up with prawns. Perhaps they want you to avail of the buffet, but then why offer a la carte? There is zero co-ordination between the front office, the restaurant, the pool bar, etc. We had to sign in when using the pool. Other times, not. Sometimes we had to pay at the pool bar, other times, we had to charge to the room. The Front Office staff are ignorant about hospitality- I was pointedly told at they did not have a concierge facility, so could not help with any suggestions for where to go. The Supervisor there was helpful but the rest of the staff refuse to make eye contact. They just type on their computers. I received more information from the taxi drivers who stand outside the hotel. I have stayed at other Le Meridien hotels and this was abysmally disappointing in comparison. Some five stars must be granted: The Games Room (clean, well appointed, and appeals to all ages) The Gym (good equipment, modern) Location (12 min to beach)

Checked in there was blood on the duvet and bed sheets, complained took a day to rectify and then they had the audacity to asm on at check out how was the stay besides the blood on the sheets. Restaurant food was ok service absolutely sucks, staff constantly buzzing around asking if everything is ok clearly for wanting a tip. Housekeeping literally stands outside your door waiting when u are about to check out again for tips. 4 days the place did my head in next time will shell out that little extra and go TAJ where services are as they should be. This was my second stay at the hotel, and once again, it was a truly wonderful experience. The service was exceptional in every aspect — from the front desk to room service, and especially the restaurant team. Everyone was polite, attentive, and always eager to help, making our stay both comfortable and memorable. I truly appreciate the hospitality every time we visit!

We had a bad experience to start the holiday by getting stuck in the lift on the first day. The staff sorted this and the lady on reception went over and above to ensure the rest of our stay went smoothly. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful particularly the dosa. The breakfast team were all good and Sonapreet the young lad on the dosa counter always made sure we had everything we wanted and everything we wanted was brought to us.

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with a welcome drink and even offered an early check-in, along with the option to store our bags when we had to step out. The rooms were impeccably clean and well-maintained. The staff, particularly Johngphe, Chuba, and the rest of the front desk team, were incredibly friendly and attentive. The breakfast was a highlight, with a fantastic spread, and the restaurant staff provided exceptional service. We’re already looking forward to returning and staying longer next time!

Over an average property… Not sure if it’s worth the money that we paid. Typical 4 star hotel. Medium-size pool, small gym and facilities. The hotel is in need of a renovation. Carpets are worn and torn in many areas and needs to be replaced. The main building elevator smells of food. If you enter the breakfast buffet (latest recipe), your clothes, smell of food… Maybe there’s a problem with the ventilation and extraction in the buffet restaurant… Would recommend the hotel please take a look at this and address this. The staff at the restaurant were extremely helpful and made special food for my father, who has got many allergies and intolerances. Special kudos to the chef Nitin, who went out of his way to help with special dishes

I have stayed previously too at Le Meridian with friends and this time I got a chance to stay with family. The courteous staff and hospitality you get at Le Meridian is unmatched. The reception staff , pool staff and those in dining areas are prompt, warm and helpful . The breakfast buffet is grand although the non vegetarian opens have reduced and are not in display and you get them on request. That was a change. Since lot of families with children are residing at the hotel one should be ready to put up with the noise from playing toddlers and children. I didn’t t mind that for one. It is well connected and 5-7 minutes ago sell to Candolim beach. The swimming pool is clean and high point of the hotel. Will definitely stay again ….

This is a really lovely hotel with great staff, great food and a brilliant pool. We spent 7 days of relaxation and loved every minute of it. The poo staff were so helpful and all the staff could t do enough for you. We would highly recommend this pace for beach access, food and relaxing

Our second stay at this property, the personal remembered us from before and they looked after us. There are a lot of people to mention but highlighting some of those fantastic guys who looked after us where Miraz the chef who looked after all our culinary needs, Yogesh, mustafa and srijita looking after us at breakfast. Vijay and all at the pool area looking after us. All the cleaning staff were amazing. Had a great 11days at the property Krishna the manager was attentive to all our needs. Plus all the support staff were great. Will definitely visit again as location is perfect.
