Room is fairly large and well maintained.keyless entry was nice, however, my room was directly over the restaurant/bar below with loud music playing until 1a on Friday. If you you need an early start you may want to consider requesting a different room

Location is great! The building and the rooms are fairly old though. I don't know if I was told in advance that there was no elevator but that was an unpleasant surprise. Hot water takes some time to get going. Most everything works fine and the split unit air conditioners are great and quiet! The bed is very comfortable too. It's a little cramped in the bedroom.

I would highly recommend a stay at the Escape. It’s walkable to the awesome downtown area, and adjacent to the Asylum if you’d like a cocktail or bite to eat. Our room was cozy, clean and had everything we needed to make our stay a great one. Communication was easy and access was effortless. Parking was available everyday we were there right outside.

If I could rate this property higher than a 5 it would surely deserve it. We stayed on the 2nd floor on a night when the restaurant was closed. It's very spacious, has a roomy bathroom and small kitchen. Everything was spotlessly clean. Although there is no elevator as noted in the listing the stairs are wide with wide treads so carrying luggage up them is on the easy side. We walked to Food & Friends for a wonderful meal. It is a great place to stay.

The only downside to this stay was the inaccurate information given on my hotels.com reservation regarding calling the property 24 hours in advance to receive the access codes for entry. The host actually sends you a text on the day of your arrival with that information. The hotel has no parking, it's street parking only, which really wasn't a problem since we could pull up in front of the building and unload. Glad we were on the first floor - there's a long staircase to the second floor. Nice room, comfy bed, cute little kitchenette. A great stay.

Last minute find. Very happy with choice. Great Location. Very Clean. Wonderful Amenities. The only drawback was the noise from the restaurant, The Asylum, which is connected next door. There was a band that played until 10pm. We were on the 1st floor.

Stayed here SEVERAL times. All ways clean as ever. I actually feel bad because I forgot to tip by housekeeper per normal! It is a hidden gem. (I am in the hotel business and this place beats the market out of the park! shhhhh) :)

This was a large, clean, and comfortable suite near the center of town. Several good restaurants and shops are nearby. Check in and out instructions were clear. We were upstairs and I didn't see an elevator, but mobility isn't a problem for us. I plan to stay there every time I visit Lewisburg.

The apartment was very clean. The downstairs apartment was so convenient for us in bringing in our suitcases. No stairs to deal with! The location was perfect and walkable to downtown Lewisburg. We would recommend it to everyone.

We really enjoyed our stay! So glad we booked The Escape rather than yet another big chain. Loved having both a bedroom and living room with kitchenette. Lots of little extras in the room in case we forgot something. We’d absolutely stay there again!

In the last couple of years when preaching at a church off the Dawson exit, we stayed at a convient hotel, at the Dawson exit. Due to a negative experience, i started looking elsewhere. This is a little Gem! Puts us going 20 miles past our exit, and 20 miles back on Sunday morning-but this will undoubtedly be our place to stay when visiting the area in the future. Building is secure. Room is secure. No check-in desk. My ONLY negative thing is I msg about 24 hours ahead of time, as per the confirmation, about check-in process. Msg again early the morning of. Reply SEEMED kind of rude (but its in text so who knows) saying We will text you...you cant check in till 3 anyway! I just turn into a nervous nelly when traveling so the morning of not having details, and just trying to follow the confirmation instructions. That being said- you WILL receive a text with door codes and such for checking in. Very cool little place and look forward to staying there again!

Unfortunately did not have a good experience. With all the good reviews we were so excited to check this place out, but arrival instructions were not properly communicated at all. Then as I tried to reach out to the owners the early morning of I kept receiving very rude response. Check-in time said 3pm. We waited around called again at 3:00 and our room was not “ready” until an hour later. We had prior arrangements and had no where to get ready as we drove hours from out of town. Will not attempt this again.

Made a one night reservation from 45 minutes away. Paula responded to my call and sent me the codes as I was standing by the front door. The room was large and comfortable. Right in the middle of town. I would stay here again.

This is the fourth time staying here and each time is amazing! Check in and check out is a breeze and done via email or text. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable, and the property is close to everything downtown with a short walk. The shops are awesome and the Asylum next door has great food and drinks! Most places are closed downtown on Sundays or have short hours, but there is still a lot to do. The Lost World Caverns and the Hawk Knob are a 10 minute drive away! 10/10 recommend this property!

Super quiet, comfy, and in an excellent location one block off the main road. Lots of dining and shopping options that are one or two blocks at most. Would definitely stay again!!

The apartment was very clean. The downstairs apartment was so convenient for us in bringing in our suitcases. No stairs to deal with! The location was perfect and walkable to downtown Lewisburg. We would recommend it to everyone.

Made a one night reservation from 45 minutes away. Paula responded to my call and sent me the codes as I was standing by the front door. The room was large and comfortable. Right in the middle of town. I would stay here again.

We found this little gem While making a quick trip to West Virginia to pick up a truck with a transmission problem. (Long story don’t even ask!). The little efficiency apartment was perfect for a one night stay, and would’ve been a wonderful place for a long-term use. I was a travel nurse for a long time and this would’ve been a perfect place to hang my hat during your contract. It was clean and well appointed. The TV was a little small, however, we were able to enjoy some Monday night football down at the attached bar and restaurant. The food there was fabulous and our bartender Chasity was a class act. We are looking forward to another trip to Lewisburg just to stay at this lovely hotel.

I would highly recommend a stay at the Escape. It’s walkable to the awesome downtown area, and adjacent to the Asylum if you’d like a cocktail or bite to eat. Our room was cozy, clean and had everything we needed to make our stay a great one. Communication was easy and access was effortless. Parking was available everyday we were there right outside.

This is the fourth time staying here and each time is amazing! Check in and check out is a breeze and done via email or text. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable, and the property is close to everything downtown with a short walk. The shops are awesome and the Asylum next door has great food and drinks! Most places are closed downtown on Sundays or have short hours, but there is still a lot to do. The Lost World Caverns and the Hawk Knob are a 10 minute drive away! 10/10 recommend this property!

The property was clean and cute. It was spacious. Lewisburg is a small town and the property is located downtown just around the corner from restaurants. It is 6 or 7 miles from The Greenbrier if you want to check it out and about an hour from New River Gorge National Park. The bed and pillows were comfy and the shower was spacious with hot water and great water pressure which you don’t always get everywhere. The price seemed too low, so we were a little skeptical, but it was great and we highly recommend.
