Location is fantastic place is clean and rooms are super nice. Things could Get better over all. Transportation around the resort could be better and the staff could be a bit nicer. I would give this place 7.5 out of 10 but the ONLY reason I’ll give it a 10/10 is because of the chef Jose over at the cookhouse restaurant. Jose brought some amazing flavor to the meals and would come out and say hello every day we were there. Would sincerely ask for feedback. Went above and beyond on his meals. Honestly the only reason I would comeback is if he was there. We went to eat when he wasn’t around one night and it was a bit of a mess with the staff. Overall I do recommend the resort.

Such an incredible stay! Just returned and it was everything I wanted in our vacation. Such a relaxing resort, beautiful grounds, amazing rooms, two large pools, plenty of space to roam around, beautiful pond with ducks, bikes available to bike around, delicious food, an awesome gym, snorkeling right from the shore….I can go on and on! We were so sad to leave and wish the Rosewood Kona so much success. Part of me doesn’t want to see it get busy so it’ll always be as quiet as it was during our stay but we loved all the team members working there that we want it to flourish so they all succeed! Thank you for the best 5 days, it was exactly what our family needed!! The only place I’ll go to in Hawaii moving forward…forget the rest, trust me.

This was our first time at the Kona Rosewood Resort. We loved our stay. The Hale was spotless and very comfortable. Staff was friendly and always ready to help. The beach was great for snorkeling and the pools were relaxing. The best part is just how beautiful this property is. There are no ugly parts to this resort. We live on the BI and staycation in the resorts regularly. This one is a definite return for us.

Our stay was incredible. Lovely beaches and pools, impeccable service, and beautiful, spacious rooms. Facilities like the spa and gym were top notch, refined and stylish without being fussy. Would stay here again in a heartbeat, highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, stress free stay.

Our first visit to Kona Village for our babymoon and it far exceeded our expectations. Gracious check-in with the bonus of our room being available early and upgraded. Personal touches for our special trip - baby bump pillow for sleeping, little gifts, regular acknowledgement of our celebration. The hotel itself is stunning. Never felt crowded, even during Easter weekend. The hales (single building accommodation) are private, quiet, and chicly appointed. They do a great job at adding little complimentary elements to the trip - Friday afternoon pizza pop up on their garden, golden hour wine and cheese, coconuts by the pool on Saturday etc. Highly recommend Paniolo Night on a Thursday - ticket includes huge spread of raw, barbecued, shaken and poured. Plus some authentic Hawaiian cowboy entertainment. We are already anticipating a return to Kona Village, where we know we will enjoy it just as much with a baby as on our own. I have my eye on their praised sushi night at the shipwreck bar.

The property is absolutely beautiful and brand new, rooms are huge, every room has balcony. Staff is extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. But, Food is ok not outstanding. I ordered twice eggs Benedict ( once with ham and with turkey bacon second time) and had horrible heartburn. Has to take medication. Had lunch and Poké bowl in 1 restaurant was overly salty and the other restaurant was tasteless. The other thing is you are in the middle of nowhere ( at least that’s how it feels like) so your food options are very limited .

I have to rant about this place. I have traveled all over the world and this resort is the most beautiful place I have been. The food is out of this world. The staff is absolutely the best I have ever seen. The rooms are top notch all the way. I can’t not say enough about this resort and the people that work here. 10 out of 10 on everything.

We had stayed at Kona Village many years ago before it was destroyed by a tsunami. We were excited when we heard it had reopened, but worried that it may have lost some of it's charm. We were thrilled that it is still the unique, wonderful place it always was, but a lot more luxurious. The hales are very comfortable and quiet. The bathrooms are huge and include an outdoor shower that we used every day. The staff is amazing, friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed all of the dining options and only went off property to the hotel next door for one dinner. We're already trying to figure out when we can return. We can't imagine stying at any other hotel on the big island!

We stayed at Kona Village for our baby moon and everything was top tier. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. We’ve stayed at other five star properties on the big island and Kona Village is in a league of its own.

The resort itself was amazing. But the staffs are mostly unfriendliness and their hospitality was not even up to standard. They seldom have smile or greet customers. And their communication is so bad that they made many mistakes throughout our trip. We even got checkin with our suites at 5:30pm that’s absurd.

This property is ok. The check-in staff is unprofessional and crooked. They clearly haven’t been trained. I had a far better experience at the Four Seasons and the Mauna Lani. We will always choose those resorts over Kona Village.

Our first visit to Kona Village for our babymoon and it far exceeded our expectations. Gracious check-in with the bonus of our room being available early and upgraded. Personal touches for our special trip - baby bump pillow for sleeping, little gifts, regular acknowledgement of our celebration. The hotel itself is stunning. Never felt crowded, even during Easter weekend. The hales (single building accommodation) are private, quiet, and chicly appointed. They do a great job at adding little complimentary elements to the trip - Friday afternoon pizza pop up on their garden, golden hour wine and cheese, coconuts by the pool on Saturday etc. Highly recommend Paniolo Night on a Thursday - ticket includes huge spread of raw, barbecued, shaken and poured. Plus some authentic Hawaiian cowboy entertainment. We are already anticipating a return to Kona Village, where we know we will enjoy it just as much with a baby as on our own. I have my eye on their praised sushi night at the shipwreck bar.

I ordered twice eggs Benedict ( once with ham and with turkey bacon second time) and had horrible heartburn. Has to take medication. The other thing is you are in the middle of nowhere ( at least that’s how it feels like) so your food options are very limited .

This was our first time at the Kona Rosewood Resort. We loved our stay. The Hale was spotless and very comfortable. Staff was friendly and always ready to help. The beach was great for snorkeling and the pools were relaxing. The best part is just how beautiful this property is. There are no ugly parts to this resort. We live on the BI and staycation in the resorts regularly. This one is a definite return for us.

Location is fantastic place is clean and rooms are super nice. Things could Get better over all. Transportation around the resort could be better and the staff could be a bit nicer. I would give this place 7.5 out of 10 but the ONLY reason I’ll give it a 10/10 is because of the chef Jose over at the cookhouse restaurant. Jose brought some amazing flavor to the meals and would come out and say hello every day we were there. Would sincerely ask for feedback. Went above and beyond on his meals. Honestly the only reason I would comeback is if he was there. We went to eat when he wasn’t around one night and it was a bit of a mess with the staff. Overall I do recommend the resort.

We had stayed at Kona Village many years ago before it was destroyed by a tsunami. We were excited when we heard it had reopened, but worried that it may have lost some of it's charm. We were thrilled that it is still the unique, wonderful place it always was, but a lot more luxurious. The hales are very comfortable and quiet. The bathrooms are huge and include an outdoor shower that we used every day. The staff is amazing, friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed all of the dining options and only went off property to the hotel next door for one dinner. We're already trying to figure out when we can return. We can't imagine stying at any other hotel on the big island!

Endroit merveilleux avec une vue sur le coucher du soleil magnifique. La chambre était exceptionnelle, le cadre aussi. Nous avons passé d’excellents moments au sein de l’établissement. Piscines/spa et spot snorkeling superbes. Par contre, le service laisse à désirer et nourriture très décevante (poke bowl moins bon que dans d’autres spot de l’île alrs que deux fois moins chers, le petit déjeuner oeufs Bénédicte pas à la hauteur, burger frois reçu dans la chambre…). La conciergerie était compliquée à joindre et nous avons raté des excursions de ce fait. D’autant plus que j’ai oublié un objet personnel dans ma chambre et qu’ils ne m’ont jamais répondu à mon e-mail. Sachant que nous étions en plus resté toute la journée de notre départ à l’hôtel, aucun message ou venue de quelconque pour m’avertir de l’oubli. Assez dommage pour ce type d’hôtels.
