Die Unterkunft war nicht zu beanstanden. Allerdings gab es ausser vorgegebenen Touren keine Möglichkeiten für Unternehmungen auf eigene Faust.

Sehr schön gelegenes Resort, noch relativ neu und in einem sehr gut guten Zustand. Wir hatten ein wirklich tolles Zimmer im Erdgeschoss mit kleiner Terasse, Meerblick und voll ausgestatteter Küche, die wir nicht wirklich gebraucht haben. Nespresso-Kapselmaschine im Zimmer, also an Tabs denken, denn im Shop dort sind sie relativ teuer. Ein absoluter Traumstrand liegt direkt am Hotel. Sehr aufmerksames und nettes Personal. Shuttle von der Fähre zum Hotel und zurück kostenlos inbegriffen. Indonesien-Visa ist unverhältnismäßig teuer (50 S$). Restaurant am Hotel ganz OK, Frühstück vielfältig und gute Auswahl an lokalen und internationalen Speisen. Einzig zu beachten ist: Wenn man mehr braucht als nur am Strand oder im Pool chillen, wird es dort bald langweilig. Es gibt außer dem noch nobleren Partnerhotel Bayan Tree nebenan nichts in Gehreichweite. Kein Shuttlebus in einen Ort oder ähnliches. Wir hatten für unsere Woche dort vier Tage lang einen Taxi mit Fahrer gebucht (Heri Taxi ist klasse!). Kostet zwar, dafür sieht man die ganze Insel und ist immer noch günstiger, als die Exkursionen (Schnorcheln, Fireflies, Temple, Märkte...) im Hotel zu buchen; was aber möglich ist. Insgesamt eine tolle Woche, glatte Empfehlung.

The apartment was well equipped and clean. The staff were friendly but some overly so, such that it can seem fake. During check in the staff member did not explain everything clearly, instead showed us a page with the hotel amenities and asksd us to take a photo of it. The pool and beach area are lovely. One thing I wish the hotel had done was promote their activities. We stumbled across the paintball and archery in the nearby woods and had not even known it was there. The hotel was quiet with low occupancy so promoting the avaliable activities including water sports would have made sense. The hotel is value for money when compared to the sister hotel, the very expensive Banyan Tree right next door. The food in the resort is average, nothing special and I thought it was expensive for what it is.

Overall a great experience! Spa at Banyan tree is not value for money.

Courteous staff, and a room with a beautiful beach view and access. It was disappointing that some F&B options in the menu of the main restaurant (Vista) was unavailable during the expectedly high occupancy Christmas holiday period. My wife also tried out the spa and wasn’t too impressed with the treatment and ambience. Hope to see improvements if we do decide to come again.
