John Hotel

Staff was polite and helpful and the room was very clean. No on site parking. We parked in a garage 10 minute walk away. I would recommend for the price.

Hotel was nice enough but the bed is uncomfortable and our neighbors in the room next to us were loud all night and morning. There is no on site parking we had to park far away in a random garage for $40

I stayed In the kitchenette suite with my husband and 3 kids. It was bigger than expected which was great with the little ones . They provided free breakfast which was convenient . On the downside only one elevator works so you might wait a while for it to get to you . Overall great price for what you get . It’s not a fancy 5 start hotel but it does the job and it’s SUPER CLEAN so if you’re not picky about where you stay this place is perfect .. ps i wasnt Aware but I’ll pass on the information this place is like a mini china town many Asian restaurants , message parlors , boba teas all around .

Spent the night after a concert at Citi Field, close to the park, was able to walk both to & from easily, less than a mile, room was very clean and comfortable( mattress was extremely firm).Many restaurants in walking distance too. Parking was easy, lot across street was full so found 24 hr parking at renaissance hotel for a little bit more

Hotel was good and clean. Website advertised free parking but actually has NO designated PARKING SPOTS, kind of misleading.

Not happy, no parking to unload bags you have to park in the street or climb the sidewalk and to park overnight you have to go to public parking and park at your risk, the rooms are small no closet to put your clothes

Relatively easy to get to. Parking down the street was available (just a note: I wish this had been indicated before making the reservation). Check-in went smoothly. It was a little difficult getting unloaded because there was no place to unload the car in front of the hotel (I can't imagine doing this without at least 2 people; I had to block the street or block the adjoining building driveway). Otherwise it was a nice hotel, nice room, nice bathroom, good shower, close to Citi Field (which was the purpose of our visit), nice breakfast (standard cold fare plus some hot items available and good hours on the breakfast time), nice that checkout time was noon as this gave us time to sleep in after the late night at the Mets game. I would stay here again. Thank you.

We only stayed one night. But the hotel is squeaky clean and the staff are friendly. Parking is around the corner and extremely cheap for NYC!

Very clean -- especially bathroom. Also, large, thick towels are especially appreciated. Understated as to decor but everything works as it should. Off-street, fenced in parking right down the street from hotel is a plus.

Very clean hotel, convenient location for Mets trip. Quick walk to the 7. Besides some girls “working” at night, walk felt pretty safe. Parking across the street (about $24 a night)… found a spot right away, not sure if we got lucky there. Elevators very fast, bathroom was beautiful. Shower was fine despite some reviews I had read. Maybe just a minute to warm up. Also read that noise was an issue, was not a problem for us not sure if that’s because we were in a corner room . Breakfast was very unimpressive, don’t expect anything on par with any other place you’ve stayed. There was sausage links and patties, but there were only hard boiled eggs, and oatmeal looked inedible. Decent variety of breads/bagels to chuck in the toaster. If you keep your expectations low, and just want a coffee and a little bite to get your day started, at least it’s something. Went for Mets game (hotel is in Flushing) and no SNY on the DIRECTV! Mattresses were very firm so if not your preference, that could be an issue. Service at front desk was fine. Only given one key? That was a first. They were accommodating though, and asking for additional towel and washcloth, which was one set short for the room. They were helpful in guiding me on where to park when I called ahead . Overall, I was very pleased for the price based on being in the city. I would stay again, as it served its purpose. I would say the highlight was the quiet and the cleanliness.

The other reviews for this property don’t appear to be legit. This hotel is conveniently located in Chinatown but there is no way anyone who has stayed in just a nice Motel 8 or Holiday Inn could rate this as exceptional or above average. It is dark, dingy and smelly. The halls and doors are unclean and unwelcoming. The rooms—look at the pictures and downgrade it at least two levels. That’s what it’ll be. The bathroom was fair, but the actual living/sleeping quarters will make you feel very nervous about sleeping in the bed, touching the covers, or even using the remote for the tv. The other reviews are very misleading and likely false.

Very clean rooms, in a nice area. And got the deposit back with no issues.

One word: COCKROACHES. When I first entered the room and turned the light on, there was a cockroach that scurried away from my pillow. Then, more cockroaches in the bathroom - you turn the light on and they run away into their holes. My business partner and I booked the stay here for 2 nights, but we left after the first night and booked elsewhere. Please, refund for the second night.

The hotel was very clean. Heating worked perfectly and the room was very good. I enjoyed my stay.

Our room was clean and quiet. Extra towels provided. It’s a no frills hotel but the amenities provided were nice and everything was as promised. Price and location were excellent. A great value for the money. Asked for an iron and got one promptly. Car service arranged was prompt and reliable and affordable. $45 to JFK.

Walls are thin and voices easy to hear in adjoining rooms. Ceiling thin and easy to hear people walking above.

This hotel is one mile away from LGA runway. Noisy every minute.

Everything was good except the shower (weak / low water pressure) in the bathroom of room # 802.

The room was very nice. The furniture was a little outdated as evidenced by feeling the springs in the couch. The beds were extremely hard and the pillows were lumpy. If it wasn’t for how uncomfortable the beds were I would definitely stay there again. It was close to everything and walking distance to City Field.

Overall great location - convenient if you’re going to Citi Field for a game or concert. The beds were a little stiff (pillows too) and the shower, despite being clean, had a few little gnats flying around but with the humidity, I wasn’t surprised. Generally a good stay, however it would be nice if the staff actually tells you where they serve breakfast upon check in instead of just telling the hours.

Nice place to stay within walking distance of Citi field. Room was like a normal hotel room but a lot smaller. That’s really my only complaint. Was clean and comfortable. Although the air conditioning was awful. Had to on low low all night. Didn’t get cool.

The breakfast was nearly inedible. The good news is that it felt safe enough and was reasonably (but not entirely) clean. Also, there is a really cool Asian mall nearby with tons of great restaurants.

Stayed in a queens bedroom, the good is it was actually cleaner then what I thought it will be but there were stains on the bed sheets but I just took those stain sheets off. Location is everything. Bed was very firm it has a mattress topper on it was uncomfortable for me a side sleeper. My room ac wasn’t working so they brought me a portable fan. Reason why I am give 3 stars is it’s decent for a low end hotel with prime location. Would give higher but my ac didn’t work . No offering or apology just said they will bring me a portable fan. The rooms are not sound proof you can hear everything in the hallway. Paid 385 after taxes I would recommend if you can be it below 200 for location but anything higher isn’t worth it. I was there last minute for family trip.

It’s a budget hotel that is clean. Nothing fancy with a continental breakfast. The walls are thin so you hear a lot of noise from adjoining rooms.

Clean and quiet. Staff was amazing.

The ratings for this hotel was why I booked it and they were absolutely wrong. Elevator felt like it was going to break down at any minute. Walls were paper think and heard people in the adjoining rooms until 1am. When I went to check out the employee was out like a light. I left my key on the counter as I didn’t want their sleep to be disturbed.

Unfriendly staff. Tv didn’t work. No connection. Asked me to try to fix it. Said they called to have it fixed but no one came. Found out all other rooms had no issue. They could’ve moved us or credited some of the fee. Breakfast good. Close to stadium and airport.

This hotel has great staff and is a couple blocks away from the 7 train at Flushing Main Street. We had a few requests which were immediately fulfilled by the staff and were very satisfied with our stay. Room was fairly spacious for NYC, very clean. Free breakfast was good. Microwave, refrigerator, and tea kettle in the room were convenient.

The front desk service was very bad and impolite.

Great location and easy walking access to Mets game, shopping and resteraunts. Hotel allowed early accesss to room since we arrived in the morning. Room was spatious. Easy walk to subway. Felt safe using public transportation and walking back to hotel after broadway show and Mets night game. Will stay again.

The perfect location for either a Mets game, or catching the US Open. Walking distance to Flushing Meadows. Felt safe in the neighbourhood too.

We were in town for 2 baseball games. Super easy getting to and from Citi Field via the MTA. Hotel is affordable and basic. But it's clean and assuming you need a safe place to keep your stuff and place to sleep it's all great. You're a 40 minute MTA ride to Manhattan. Subway station is close by and very easy to navigate.

Close to Citi Field and tons of good food in the area.

The hotel was clean and well-maintained, which made my stay comfortable from the moment I arrived. The rooms were tidy, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job keeping everything fresh and neat during my stay. One of the biggest perks was how convenient the location was. The hotel is close to multiple transportation options, including subway and bus lines, making it easy to get around the city or explore different areas of New York.

The room was very basic, but the bed was comfortable. The free breakfast was awful. All in all, pretty much what I expected from a middle of the road hotel in Flushing.

Great walkable location to Citifield. Very clean. Super comfy beds. Breakfast was fine (a few more options would be great-- ie. Yogurt, oatmeal, eggs). I wish we'd known about the parking area the hotel had worked out a deal with. I had corresponded with the hotel about parking and this was ever mentioned.

- trip hazard at both the entry door and bathroom door, and neither are marked - breakfast terrible (3 of 4 toasters do not work properly, no scrambled eggs, only water is from faucet, no choice of milk such as skim, whole or 2%. - TV difficult to change channels because majority of the time the remote does not work - bed frame corners dangerous: very easy injure foot or leg/shin on post - no closet - no blankets - only half the shower door opens which is on the opposite end from the turn on/off so a person gets hit with cold water trying to turn on the shower. Surrounding Area: - only restaurant choices are asian food. Good luck finding american food. - no grocery store close to hotel with american food - no drug store (american)
