If I stayed here and it was 1990, I would have said “wow, they need to change this carpet”. But it’s 2026. And the carpet is disgusting. Property has tons of potential. But this was by far our least favorite overnight in our 16 day trip. Hot in room overnight. Took a Luke warm shower the next morning as water never heated up.

The room could do with a good clean, walls doors inside presses all need cleaning. Carpet on stairs dreadful. Only bar menu for dinner. Walled garden closed off. Not somewhere I would return to again. Was not asked how my stay was when checking out.

Floors were dirty, no hair-drier in the room, tap was leaking, window wouldn't close.

A lovely historical building in a luscious garden setting . Welcoming staff throughout. No Air Con in room so staff helpfully gave us a fan. The windows can only be opened a few inches (due to security locks) which was an issue on a very hot humid night.
