Guest reviews

What guests think

AI-generated summary based on recent guest reviews

Trail Shop Inn draws guests with its scenic, quiet setting between Cody and Yellowstone and rustic standalone cabins, but reviews highlight inconsistent upkeep and services, spotty connectivity, and an on-site restaurant that is sometimes closed without notice.

Stayed 2 nights

I'm afraid the Trail Inn is on its way out. Check in was at 4:00. We had reservations in June for stay in August. The room hadn't been cleaned yet. When we came back 1 1/2 hours later, pillows not on bed, etc. Cracks in the windows. No curtains on bathroom windows. skimpy curtain on one bedroom window. We used towels to cover. Fan in one bedroom broken shield, dangerous to use. Unkept grounds. restaurant closed for season already and no one in office most of time. Sad, sad place.

Stayed 4 nights

Bed fell apart. Toilet was unstable. Smoke alarm was going off all night and we could not reach it to take the battery out. No way to contact owners. We left a night early.
