Guest reviews

What guests think

AI-generated summary based on recent guest reviews

Trail Shop Inn draws guests with its scenic, quiet setting between Cody and Yellowstone and rustic standalone cabins, but reviews highlight inconsistent upkeep and services, spotty connectivity, and an on-site restaurant that is sometimes closed without notice.

The cabins are old and unfortunately critters can get into the walls and make disturbing noise all night. Nothing actually in the cabin but loud enough to wake us from a deep sleep. Great shower. Host / server was excellent. Dining room was attractive and food well prepared with reasonable prices.

Very cute, quaint cabins and restaurants, it was so hot it was hard to sleep: might be worth investing in a window air conditioner (not just a fan) for each cabin. Might be nice to not put guests in adjoining units when the place isn’t full (the old floors creaking carries over)

A dump, busted door, lopsided bed, a 2x2 shower no human can shower in EVER, windows leaked something terrible, and not enough curtains to cover the windows. The staff was great, kitchen and dining pretty nice. Cabins? A dump. We stayed in #1, but it didn’t look any worse than the others.
