I stayed in Room 4 for a one-night stop near the Ingonish Beach area. The location is very convenient, and the price is reasonable for the area. Room 4 has its own balcony with a beautiful ocean view, although access to the balcony is only through a side path outside the room, which was a bit inconvenient. The air conditioner in the room seemed to have an issue—it was blowing hot air from the back, which caused the room temperature to rise to 30°C, so I had to turn it off. The water pressure in the bathroom was also quite weak. For a short stay, this was manageable, but it might be uncomfortable for a longer visit. I was especially looking forward to trying the on-site restaurant, but unfortunately it was closed during my stay. I had to drive about 10 minutes back to the main street for dinner. Overall, it’s a decent place for a brief stay, especially given the view and location, but there are some improvements that could enhance the guest experience.

Beautiful location and view! Lower cottages where we stayed away from the highway on Cabot Trail, so very peaceful. Restaurant food was decent but nothing special. No liquor license so was quite empty. When we arrived they were unsure if the Restaurant would open that night.

Great little cabins with comfy bed, refrigerator, microwave, dining table for two, sofa etc. dishes and cutlery for 2. Stayed in a renovated “sunset cabin” which had a great view across the water from inside and deck with an bbq. Effective heat pump wall unit and baseboard heaters..very important in May lol. Unless the restaurant is open, dining options are 6 km into town so we brought microwaveable dinners which was perfect. Defintiely recommended.

Our second stay in a cottage. Loved the added privacy curtain for the washroom. Navigating the driveway down to the cottage was difficult as it is very narrow! We had to back out as a vehicle was parked near the sharp turn and we couldn’t get through….

Our cabin was great, amazing view of the water with large windows and balcony. Very clean. Only complaint was restaurant service. Took 30 minutes just to get cup of plain coffee and another 30 minutes (total of 1 hour) to get eggs, toast, hash browns. The meal was cold except for warm hash browns. And we were the only customers!

Booked for one night while traveling the Cabot Trail. Owner was very friendly and helpful when we checked in. Room, although quite small, was very clean and comfortable with everything that we needed. Not a five star due to the restaurant. Booked here for the ease of eating on property after a tough drive. The waitress at the restaurant was incredibly friendly and working very hard to serve everyone. But the kitchen was obviously understaffed; we arrived at 6pm, placed our order by 6:10, and didn’t receive our food until 7pm. The cozy decorations add a warm and pleasant touch to the atmosphere. From the outside, you can see the ocean, and the lower level is closer to the water, but families with young children aren’t allowed to stay there for safety reasons. A friendly tip: avoid booking Room 7. It’s the only room with another unit above it. The view is obstructed by trees, blocking the ocean view, and you won’t know who’s staying above you. In our case, the upstairs neighbors were dragging luggage and running around late into the night, which made it hard to get any rest.

The girl at check in was extremely pleasant, had great knowledge of the area and recommendations, the cottage was adorable and clean. Very cozy, warm, nice size deck with a view from every cottage! Would highly recommend this spot!

The cabin was newer construction and was lovely in theory. It appears that the cabins are not being cleaned well or cared for as they should. There was a lot of dust on the floors and the ceiling fan, the sink drain was brown with crud, and the shower fan was falling out of the ceiling when we arrived. Paint was peeling off the walls in the bathroom and there was tissue pushed into the corner of the shower which I’m assuming was to plug a hole. The coffee machine also had old grounds inside and was badly stained, so I didn’t want to use it. It’s not all bad though, the linens are clean, the furniture is nice, and the patio and view are amazing. Just a bit more attention to detail with cleaning the cabin would go a long way.

The view from our cabin was absolutely amazing. Being able to sit on the deck late into the evening and watch the sun go down was a very memorable experience. The unit is an older building so a little dated. It was nice having 2 bedrooms and also to have 2 queen beds in the one bedroom. On the negative side, cleanliness of the unit could certainly be improved. The TV remote was very sticky! (and we forgot to bring our own wipes). That sticky remote slipped between the couch cushions at one point and it was a very "crumby" experience retrieving it. And the extra blanket in the one bedroom needed a wash as it looked like pizza bits or spaghetti sauce was stuck to it. Also one of the 2 patio chairs we couldn\'t use as it was ripped. All of this was reported as we checked out so I\'m hoping staff were able to attend to our concerns.

The unit we rented (9A) looked like an old fishing cabin inside complete with cobwebs everywhere. It was basically an old basement apartment. The newest thing inside was the TV. My family did not enjoy the stay, though the staff was friendly and helpful. Expected more for what we paid.

We had a fabulous stay. The property offers beautiful views. The room was clean and cozy. The wine glasses were a nice touch after drinking wine out of paper/plastic cups at our other accommodations. :) The staff were super helpful & friendly. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. We ordered several apps for a late night snack and had the breakfast. Both were delicious!

The cottage was so lovely and cute and beds were very comfortable. We had an excelllent view and staff was super friendly. The only thing was that we were in a lower unit with people above us. Once the people above us checked in, we could hear absolute everything including their conversations and every footstep because the walls were so thin. We were woken up early by the floor creaking upstairs and the stomping. Wish we had a singular unit or an upstairs unit...

Location great. Rooms have been upgraded however could have been better. The toilet is in the open room concept literally 12 feet from dining area with no door. Only a curtain to pull back. Nothing to mitigate sound or smell to be honest. Bath tub was great, however took 20 minutes to fill. Water pressure poor. We stayed in Sunset cabin F. The bed was horrible. Double for 2 full grown aduls, rock hard, high off the ground. Could easily fit queen size bed in the room. Also right side of the bed has a lean to it. Felt like I was going to roll off the bed. Between that and the rock hard mattress, I chose to sleep on their 2 seater small couch. Which wasn’t the greatest comfort either. Chose not to have dinner at the restaurant attached. Limited selection. Location great, views great, room has potential but missed the mark. Until one can go to the bathroom without having to turn on the TV or literally have a guest 5 feet from you while eating sitting on the toilet, I wouldn’t recommend this resort.

The room was beautiful, though having no walls to the bathroom was a bit odd and I wished it had been made clear. We often stepped outside whenever someone needed to use the restroom. It didn't bother us the bathtub being open to the room since it was a romantic trip...but having to be in the same room as your partner when they go to the bathroom is not super romantic and can kill the mood. The view was beautiful and the staff was lovely. We enjoyed our stay and would book here again.

It didn't bother us the bathtub being open to the room since it was a romantic trip...but having to be in the same room as your partner when they go to the bathroom is not super romantic and can kill the mood. The girl at check in was extremely pleasant, had great knowledge of the area and recommendations, the cottage was adorable and clean. Very cozy, warm, nice size deck with a view from every cottage! Would highly recommend this spot!

David and his team provided impeccable customer service and east coast hospitality. We really enjoyed our one night stay in the lower, new and modern units. They are very tastefully decorated and comfortable, with beautiful views of the bay and the Keltic Lodge in the distance. Note: if you are in the lower units, you’ll just have a bbq, microwave and small fridge, with just the basic plates and cutlery, so make sure you bring whatever else you need, including BBQ tools.I would definitely stay here again!

Booked for one night while traveling the Cabot Trail. Owner was very friendly and helpful when we checked in. Room, although quite small, was very clean and comfortable with everything that we needed. Not a five star due to the restaurant. Booked here for the ease of eating on property after a tough drive. The waitress at the restaurant was incredibly friendly and working very hard to serve everyone. But the kitchen was obviously understaffed; we arrived at 6pm, placed our order by 6:10, and didn’t receive our food until 7pm. That’s just crazy for a restaurant that only has seven tables (four 4-tops, and three 2-tops). The food was good, but not worth that long of a wait. I would stay at the motel again, but avoid the restaurant.

We had a fabulous stay. The property offers beautiful views. The room was clean and cozy. The wine glasses were a nice touch after drinking wine out of paper/plastic cups at our other accommodations. :) The staff were super helpful & friendly. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. We ordered several apps for a late night snack and had the breakfast. Both were delicious!

The cottage was well maintained, portable air conditionning was sufficient to keep us cool. Directly on the Cabot Trail, close to Ingonish beach and Smokey MOntain gondola. Our unit had partial view on the bay, but enough to enjoy beautiful sunsets.

Our cabin was great, amazing view of the water with large windows and balcony. Very clean. Only complaint was restaurant service. Took 30 minutes just to get cup of plain coffee and another 30 minutes (total of 1 hour) to get eggs, toast, hash browns. The meal was cold except for warm hash browns. And we were the only customers!

These individual units provide an absolutely beautiful view. Each one is independent from others so it is very quiet. The unit is well maintained with a comfortable bed, all amenities, and a porch on which you can sit and hear the water lapping on the rocks. There is a restaurant associated with the cottages which also has a great view. Dinner was nice. Breakfast is $15 for those staying at the property and it is not inidivually prepared - more of a continental breakfast. I would not recommend breakfast if you would like a more individualize breakfast. Otherwise, this is a great place and I would recommend it.

The views of the ocean were great! We had a bottom unit though and the people upstairs were very loud and were stomping everywhere. Try not to get the bottom suite! Otherwise the place is perfect!
