This was a great value stay. Efficient and friendly reception, shown to my room, spacious room, good shower, porridge and cereal bar given for breakfasts in the room (as well as the usual tea and coffee), proper coat hangers and a quality large kettle. Minor inconveniences would be that it can be difficult to see where to park (very temporarily) and it takes a good couple of minutes to get hot water from the hot water tap over the sink. By the way, the menu and restaurant look great.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting friends. Although on a main road it is in an isolated spot. It did not come with breakfast they did leave cereal bars and porridge pots. The rooms were clean and tidy but with a mismatch of furniture. The food in the restaurant was excellent, very tasty.

My room was clean although dated. The inn does not do breakfast, however they do provide pots of instant porridge and energy bars. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and carried my suitcase to my room. Now for the best part. The Inn is attached to the Gurkha Nepalese restaurant. The food is top notch with attentive staff, but not in your face. I strongly recommend the 5/6 bean soup for the starter. The dogs danglies.

We had a comfortable stay at this Hotel.The staff were very nice. We had a car parking space. No problem. Before we checked out the following morning, we had a delicious english breakfast served by a very attentive gentleman. We will definitely visit again. Ideal location for visiting West Sussex. The Woodcock Hotel included The Ghurkha Restuarant. Shame we didnt have time to have a meal. Great.

Easy parking and staff very friendly. The room was poor, with lumpy mattress. There was very little sound proofing and very noise from road, guest coming and going. Window in room didn’t close properly.

Booked for an overnight stay before flight next day. No issues to locate. Gatwick a 20 minute drive (no traffic). Lots of pubs and eateries in the area - by car!! I can’t imagine walking anywhere from the woodcock as it’s country lanes. Hotel restaurant is very convenient. Menu prices as expected. Indoor and outdoor seating service is prompt and no waiting around. I think this place is popular amongst locals in the area (?). we liked the wall mounted smart tv, kettle / tea / coffe milk in the room, and the soap, shower gel and shampoo provided. Room is cosy and clean enough. Would’ve liked a couple more hooks to hang jackets towels etc. No air con in our room but the 2 fans were helpful. Very warm inside the room in the summer! Open windows and the noise from fast moving vehicles may keep one awake - our room 15 front facing. Check out is straightforward- leave the key in the box on the way out. Stopped here as a night before gatwick. Room was clean but warm for some reason we couldn't work out. Restaurant was brilliant and staff mainly ghurkas superb. Parking was tight but Restaurant was full.

The expedia.ca rating for this place is TOO HIGH. This place is dismal, old, tired, run-down, terrible, and in the middle of nowhere. There were holes in the duvet cover on our bed. We barely had any hot water in the shower no matter how we fiddled with the taps (so, yeah, cold showers it was!?). When we cked out, we needed to call a taxi, and the reception was not even open. Thankfully, there is a mechanic shop next door, so we went there to use their phone. If we had not have pre-paid for 2 nights, I would not have even stayed one night. However, as soon as we checked in, I was on the expedia.ca site & got an agent to help get the 2nd night refunded, by using the site's chat feature. I was soooo thankful not to have to stay here a second night. Expedia really needs to ensure their ratings match the reality of hotels. The rating on the site when I booked was 8.6/10. I would not even give the site a 1/10 rating!!

My room was clean although dated. The inn does not do breakfast, however they do provide pots of instant porridge and energy bars. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and carried my suitcase to my room. Now for the best part. The Inn is attached to the Gurkha Nepalese restaurant. The food is top notch with attentive staff, but not in your face. I strongly recommend the 5/6 bean soup for the starter. The dogs danglies.

Be prepared to pay 2x40 gbp for taxi from/to Gatwick airport. Only restaurant is at the inn and it is indian and nepalese. Stay pleasant though. Clean. Helpful staff.

We had a comfortable stay at this Hotel.The staff were very nice. We had a car parking space. No problem. Before we checked out the following morning, we had a delicious english breakfast served by a very attentive gentleman. We will definitely visit again. Ideal location for visiting West Sussex. The Woodcock Hotel included The Ghurkha Restuarant. Shame we didnt have time to have a meal. Great.

The expedia.ca rating for this place is TOO HIGH. This place is dismal, old, tired, run-down, terrible, and in the middle of nowhere. There were holes in the duvet cover on our bed. We barely had any hot water in the shower no matter how we fiddled with the taps (so, yeah, cold showers it was!?). When we cked out, we needed to call a taxi, and the reception was not even open. Thankfully, there is a mechanic shop next door, so we went there to use their phone. If we had not have pre-paid for 2 nights, I would not have even stayed one night. However, as soon as we checked in, I was on the expedia.ca site & got an agent to help get the 2nd night refunded, by using the site's chat feature. I was soooo thankful not to have to stay here a second night. Expedia really needs to ensure their ratings match the reality of hotels. The rating on the site when I booked was 8.6/10. I would not even give the site a 1/10 rating!!

Stopped here as a night before gatwick. Room was clean but warm for some reason we couldn't work out. Restaurant was brilliant and staff mainly ghurkas superb. Parking was tight but Restaurant was full.

Easy parking and staff very friendly. The room was poor, with lumpy mattress. There was very little sound proofing and very noise from road, guest coming and going. Window in room didn’t close properly.

Booked for an overnight stay before flight next day. No issues to locate. Gatwick a 20 minute drive (no traffic). Lots of pubs and eateries in the area - by car!! I can’t imagine walking anywhere from the woodcock as it’s country lanes. Hotel restaurant is very convenient. Menu prices as expected. Indoor and outdoor seating service is prompt and no waiting around. I think this place is popular amongst locals in the area (?). we liked the wall mounted smart tv, kettle / tea / coffe milk in the room, and the soap, shower gel and shampoo provided. Room is cosy and clean enough. Would’ve liked a couple more hooks to hang jackets towels etc. No air con in our room but the 2 fans were helpful. Very warm inside the room in the summer! Open windows and the noise from fast moving vehicles may keep one awake - our room 15 front facing. Check out is straightforward- leave the key in the box on the way out. This was a great value stay. Efficient and friendly reception, shown to my room, spacious room, good shower, porridge and cereal bar given for breakfasts in the room (as well as the usual tea and coffee), proper coat hangers and a quality large kettle. Minor inconveniences would be that it can be difficult to see where to park (very temporarily) and it takes a good couple of minutes to get hot water from the hot water tap over the sink. By the way, the menu and restaurant look great.
This was a great value stay. Efficient and friendly reception, shown to my room, spacious room, good shower, porridge and cereal bar given for breakfasts in the room (as well as the usual tea and coffee), proper coat hangers and a quality large kettle. An ok stay at an ok location. It did the job but I am not recommending it for the future. Noisy evening until the restaurant closed we needed to get sleep before flying out of Gatwick at 4 am

Your service in the dining room was nonexistent. I was never approached to see how I was doing or if I needed anything. I had to go up numerous times to get service. I saw your servers went to high-value customers. Or to multiple people. I felt like I was no good for service because I was single. When I checked in, there were no towels. I needed a shower right away. I took a shower and dried myself off with my clean clothes. I asked how far the London temple was. I was told it was an easy walk. It turned out to be a 2-hour round trip. Plus, there was no sidewalk some of the way. Cars wizzing by me inches away. should have gotten a taxi. In the morning, the staff was gone, and I couldn't get my phone working to call a taxi. I walked at least 2 miles, dragging my luggage just inches from traffic.
