This place is a scam. We stayed at 30 different hotels/B&Bs in Italy in 35 days and this is the ONLY one with a completely unreasonable check-in policy. The person we dealt with "Cettina" is the most unaccommodating, unreasonable person I have dealt with in many years. First, she will talk only by text, not voice - she hangs up the phone if you call. The day before check in the conversation went something like this (all by text): Her: please tell me the exact time you will be here to check in otherwise we will not let you into the property. Me: I cannot do that - I am traveling and I may want to stop or get a flat tire, etc. I will be there between 3 and 6pm and it's OK if it takes you 30 minutes to let me in. Her: unacceptable - I will not let you in unless you tell me the exact time. Me: I cannot predict my exact arrival time - I am on vacation, not on a train schedule. Her: tough luck. I will not accommodate you. Me: I'd like to cancel the reservation. Her: tough luck. I asked Expedia for a cancellation (more than 24 hours in advance). Expedia called and talked with her in Italian. She refused a refund. Clearly this is a side-hustle for Cettina - she must have some other scams she also runs since this hotel is not a priority for her. I cannot recommend you book or stay at a hotel with such unreasonable staff. I would assume that things such as washing the sheets, and towels are met with similar behavior. Do not be fooled by the fake good reviews.
