Homestay Le Corbusier 5 ieme Rue

It was a remarkable experience to stay a night at an historic apartment conceived and built by an architectural giant. The host kept the space at an impressive condition.

This is a homestay so there was another person in the apartment during our stay but since we only saw her once that was no problem. The apartment itself is generous in size and well-appointed and our room with attached bathroom and balcony was large and comfortable. We had very good and prompt support from the absent host via text message. Overall this was a very comfortable accommodation in one of Le Corbusier’s later projects and we recommend it.

It was a very impressive experience to stay at Corbusier’s building on our trip to the heritage site of Firminy church and cultural center here. Even though Unité d'Habitation of Firminy-Vert was built in 1965, the space and construction details nowadays are still there in good condition to be observed and appreciated. Moreover, the house owner is very nice for a dwelling tour guide. So this amazing homestay is very recommended.
