Very nice place, great lodges, friendly staff, well equipped for children and a great location for seing harzen. But it is expensive. They will charge you 2.5 euro per person per day as an extra energi tax, which is not a part of the pricing on expedia. And a 'kur' tax, whatever that is. Childrens bed and baby chairs are also not included in the price (which I would expect from a 4 star, family friendly establishment). The breakfast is 18 euro per person per day and although it is a decent breakfast, its certsinly not that good. The same goes for the restaurent - decent food, but overprized. There is a fireplace in the lodges, but the wood costs ekstra. And the e-bikes are ridiculous 26 euro per day, so we skipped them (also, you can't get childrens seats for the bikes)

Wurmberg and Wurmberg Gondola are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Brocken Coaster and Harz Narrow Gauge Railways. Museum of Aviation and Technology and Culture & Congress Centre Wernigerode are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as fishing.
