This was great for a one night stay for 2 people. The bed was great, location was great and parking was great! It was a bit noisy from our neighbors with a little kid and the bathroom had no countertop to put anything. Only hot worked in the shower, so we had to really improvise. Appreciated the fridge and microwave available!

Our room was much smaller than described / pictured, and I had thought there would be a few more kitchen amenities (tiny fridge in room, microwave in common area). The property is clean, quiet, easy check-in and very walkable. It was okay for our brief stay - just a different type of accommodation than we're used to -- pretty tight for 2 people lol.

This guesthouse was very clean and the rooms were newly renovated. There is no "common area" and the rooms are small but if you only need a place to sleep at night it's great. The rooms have their own private bathroom that is very clean. The location is in a residential neighborhood within the small town and is close to the hot springs. P.s. the hike to the river hot springs is about 1-1.5 hrs. This is by no means a fancy hotel but a nice quaint place to stay.

Nicht weit weg vom Sightseing Punkt aber sonst ist die Umgebung nicht sehr spannend. Vollkommen okay für eine Nacht. Etwas klein aber mit eigenem Bad,, Wasserkocher und Instant-Kaffe/Tee im Angebot. Alles funktional und praktisch gehalten. Sauber, ordentlich und beste Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Haus.

Great value, close to Reykjavik located in a small town. Geothermal park is located walking distance from this motel Price very reaonable compared to Reykjavik prices. Small motel type guesthouse located away from highway near centre of town in quiet area. Rooms have private bathrooms despite being listed as a guesthouse. Kettle and coffee/tea provided in room. Fridge also in room. Microwave in lobby. Bonus (the grocery store with the pig logo) is about 8 blocks away. Enjoyed stay so much we extended from one to three days.

Zimmer war sehr dreckig! Überall hatte es Haare (Bett, Boden, Lavabo), die Toilette war ebenfalls dreckig. Als wir die einzige Person, die wir antreffen konnten, darauf aufmerksam gemacht haben, wurde das Bettlaken gewechselt (alles andere blib dreckig). Sehr kleines Zimmer. Gute Lage für die Wanderung nach Reykjadalur.

Bra läge nära restauranger, mataffär mm. Bra WIFI. Kyl & tekokare. Sköna sängar. Verkar vara ganska nyrenoverat, fräscht badrum. Parkering utanför. Gick inte att få kontakt med värden i förväg trots flera försök via mail och via Expedia. Fick mail två dagar innan ankomst med kod till ytterdörr och nyckelskåp till varje rum, bra att kunna checka in vid valfri tid. Träffade aldrig värden. Vårt sällskap bokade tre rum, tyvärr var det sand och grus på golvet i den ena rummet och nästan stopp i avloppet till handfatet, dammigt på bord och fönsterbänkar i det andra och i det tredje låg det mat kvar i kylskåpet, och kvarglömda underkläder intill :( I ett rum fanns det bara te, i det andra bara kaffe. Hade fått bättre betyg om det varit städat, för det är prisvärt och fint annars.

Die Unterkunft war nicht sorgfältig gereinigt. Im Kühlschrank befanden sich schimmelnde Lebensmittel. Die Dusche war leicht beschädigt, das abgebrochene Teil lag am Boden. Offenbar hatte sich niemand bemüht, das in Ordnung zu bringen. Alles ist recht eng, so stößt man sich z.B das Knie am Schrank, wenn man auf der Toilette sitzt. Das Bad lässt sich nur mit einer Schiebetür locker verschließen. Die anonyme Schlüsselübergabe mit einem Code lief reibungslos, die Lage in einer kleinen Seitenstraße in Laufweite zum Supermarkt ist gut.

The place was clean and organized. The light was good. The air conditioning was perfect. Just it was noisy. We were at room#1 and it was right beside the entrance and people entering and exiting was making lots of noise after midnight. The beeping of the door code was too loud and disturbing our sleep.

It's a good value place to stay if you're doing a road trip or travelling through the area. Our room was comfortable enough but a bit dark and a bit too warm for our liking. Could have opened the window for some cool air but it was raining at the time! Will stay again though if we're in the area. It's an unattended property but we didn't need to contact anyone for assistance.

You definitely get what you pay for here! The room was small, with little room to put a suitcase, but everything was clean. We stayed on a night where it was pretty warm and we were unable to have the windows cracked because of the amount of bugs that would fly in and bite us. At one point, my husband left the room to sit in the car to use the air conditioning for a little relief. I know that is part of travel in Europe, but wish we had a fan or a way to circulate air if the windows couldn't be open. We also had a hard time getting the water temperature to be steady and comfortable. It would change from freezing to scalding without touching a thing. The location was great though, close to a geothermal park where you can cook your own eggs, get breakfast and see a geyser, and another close by park with a waterfall. That part was a hidden gem!

This was my third stay in Iceland and I have already recommended this guest house to a friend. The location is perfect for day trips. You’re always near a gas station and grocery store. The owner is fantastic and super helpful! The rooms are modern and lovely and check in is easy. If I’m not in a camper van on my next trip then I will be here.

Reykjadalur Guesthouse is an excellent place to stay. The owner is a very nice person. She sent me all the check in info (room code, password, etc.) even though my credit card was not processed due to some issue… Great place. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay! We loved Hveragerdi, it was a nice quiet town with plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Everything in town was within walking distance of the guesthouse which was very nice. The food hall nearby has lots of great delicious options! We did have issues with communication specifically with check-in. I didn't receive any check-in instructions by the time of check-in and had to figure out how to call the host. However, the host did answer the phone right away and provided me with clear check-in instructions. The room and bathroom were nice and the bed was comfortable.

We loved Hveragerdi, it was a nice quiet town with plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Everything in town was within walking distance of the guesthouse which was very nice. The food hall nearby has lots of great delicious options! We did have issues with communication specifically with check-in. I didn't receive any check-in instructions by the time of check-in and had to figure out how to call the host. However, the host did answer the phone right away and provided me with clear check-in instructions. The room and bathroom were nice and the bed was comfortable.

The guesthouse fit the bill for what we were looking for. A bed, shower,small fridge and a shared microwave. It was out of Reykjavik far enough and was a great starting point for our adventures. Also don't miss the Reykjadalur Hot Spring Thermal River hike in Hveragedi and the geothermal park in town.

We had a great stay there. Was a little surprised how far out it was (45min from Reykjavik), but the drive ended up not being so bad. Nice little town, and very clean facilities!

This guesthouse was very clean and the rooms were newly renovated. There is no "common area" and the rooms are small but if you only need a place to sleep at night it's great. The rooms have their own private bathroom that is very clean. The location is in a residential neighborhood within the small town and is close to the hot springs. P.s. the hike to the river hot springs is about 1-1.5 hrs. This is by no means a fancy hotel but a nice quaint place to stay.

This was a busy Saturday at the end of summer season. It was also a rainy night. I got the last room, late. I have been through Reykjadalur several times before and I like this whole area. They did not have a breakfast, but they suggest another hotel which can accommodate breakfast as well as a bakery. I go with these endorsements.

Nice guesthouse just off the Ring Road in Hveragerði. Easy to find and parking available right outside. Check in details were sent to us the day before and were easy to follow.
