Winchester Bay Inn

Room was clean, bed was comfortable and there was ots of hot water for showering. The breakfast is not worth the time to walk across the parking lot, There was room to park my sis trailer on the property. Overall good value.

Clean room but no ice. Their breakfast was a joke. A bagel or fruit loops. And they weren’t even open until 8:30.

Request for ground floor rooms, was changed, we had one room on the ground floor which was not handicap accessible. The other room was across the complex, up a rusty steep staircase case. The room was clean, we just felt isolated. Enjoyed walking around the waterfront. Also ice was rationed, by office staff. No Wi-Fi in rioms

Winchester Bay Inn is only a block from the north end of the harbor. Not central, but it is a quieter location. You can see the sky above the ocean from the window (if it is not foggy). The parking is right outside the lower floor rooms. The Inn is old, but the rooms are very clean.

Our rom was really spacious and updated, we were really comfortable. Parking was very easy and convenient! The hotel is close to restaurants and has a view to the marina.

The staff was cranky because we checked it 20-minutes early. We changed rooms from a king bed to a double queen room and was charged more for the queens. She put us in the end unit and we lost our "harbor view". If you travel a lot then you know the 'pet-friendly' description is a joke. My dog has never caused any problems and yet these motels find a way to charge. $25-$50 for "damage" that never occurs. Beware this motel has no air conditioning. We stayed in early September and had to open all the windows for a cross breeze. We wont stay there ever again.

We were first given a room on the "back side" of the property (only one) where you took a staircase up to a room that had an adjoining room- no lock- and there was no air. None of the rooms had air. We requested a second room and was told there were none- there were like 30 rooms available. One was finally "found" with two back windows that had no locks. You had to leave your front window open- large- for any air circulation, and the "inn" is just down the street from the docks and with a RV park behind it. Women's underwear was left on the ground on the property. Breakfast was almost non-existent. DO NOT go to this property.

The other hotel guest telling us we can't park there because they wanted to park there. The evening receptionist was snotty. There was no ice available to us. Other than those things check in and out was simple and nice.

Great location in the heart of Winchester Bay. Walkable to several places to eat, although we chose to drive to Reedsport to hit some favorite restaurants. My only nit is that the room was not thoroughly cleaned. Something had been spilled on one of the nightstands and was super sticky. Also dirty/sticky spots on floor at bedside and near the kitchen... floors should be mopped after every stay. Room had great ADA accessibility in the bathroom, including lots of grab bars and seat in the tub (my hubby is partially disabled).

This hotel was exceptionally clean. The staff were very friendly and the customer service experience was excellent. The rooms are modest but perfect for the value. I had a lovely quiet stay

Overall, it was a nice quiet place to spend the night. However, there was a used/dirty washcloth left in the bathtub, which makes me question the thoroughness of the cleaning between guests.

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The room itself was just ok. Bed was comfortable. TV was small but good. However, the room smelled like mold (a lot), the shower drain was sluggish leaving you to shower in a half-full tub, and there was water damage to the ceiling in the corner and bubbling paint on the wall by the toilet. It wasn’t too busy and quiet which was nice.

Normally this place is good. Our room was larger with a kitchen but not really. No way to cook except microwave and zero plates, cups, silverware, etc. But the worst part was realizing how dirty my feet were after walking around the room. They were black from the dirt. I took wet white paper towels and rubbed them across different sections of the floor that were not walked on and they came back black. I left them on the counter so they could see how bad it was. I spoke with the office and they didn’t seem very concerned. Not sure if the whole room had anything cleaned which is has a big ick factor.

Nice clean room. In room coffee maker. Quick efficient check in. Lots of food options nearby.

Staff was AMAZING! bed was so comfortable. Quiet and nice. Floors turned our socks black, and the sun came in through the cracks in the door. Breakfast was larger then expected, coffee was A+

Older property but very clean

Very close to many outdoor sites. We did book the King bdr with a view. Let me tell you, if advertising and pictures that are deceiving that room scored a 1 We basically had a view of a grassy area and a street. The harbor was off to the right, with the exception if you sat outside it improved.

There was no smile upon arriving at the office, the lady attending was snippy. The walls are so thin, you can literally hear what is being said next door. This hotel needs serious updating or remodeling. The price is expensive for what you get. The beds are hard and feel like springs are in them.

No breakfast available even though it was listed on the sure. Very limited water view again was listed. Had to have upper front rooms for view if the stairs are an issue for you or you reserve on line you get regulated to the rear rooms

The bed was on the hard side. The walls were so thin, I could hear the people in the next room snoring. The room was a little on the expensive side for a week day off season.

The bed was comfortable and our TV worked fine. I had noticed previous reviews about issues with TV but we didn't have that issue. Wi-Fi was spotty though. We'd stay again, very quaint and close to harbor and activities. We just needed a room for the night with a good night's sleep. Our only issue was the room was hot. Probably should have left window open all night but didn't want outside noise waking us up in the morning.

WiFi is not working.

Rooms were clean but pretty basic. Outdated furniture, old spring style mattresses made the beds really uncomfortable and lumpy. Absolutely no frills. Absolutely no Wi-Fi in rooms

For $131 and a "Harbor" view a view of the harbor was expected, considering this was an upgrade. There was no view of the harbor, and infact there was a better view of the harbor from the office. No AC, very small. Would bot recommend.

I have been to this property for last 20 years or so, off and on. I dont think I will be back, the check-in staff was rude and unwelcoming.

Friendly and accommodating person checked me in, gave dining suggestions. Area is lovely, small harbor, restaurants just a few blocks away. Room includes not just a coffee pot, microwave and small refrigerator (typical where I usually stay), but a counter with sink too. Heater in bathroom is great but the one in room blew nothing but cold air.

We arrived after midnight and the kind lady on duty woke up to check us in and provide room keys. Sorry that I don’t know your name but wanted to say how much I appreciated your help!!! Thanks so much!!!

When we got to the hotel we were greeted by a very rude employee. After checking in our room we saw a few displeasing sights, the room not being cleaned, there were holes in the ceiling, water damage on the walls, and ceiling. When my daughter tried to take a shower after the long car ride we saw that the shower and sink would not unclog. It took them several hours to “get back to us” about the clogged shower, and at one point my father had to show them how to unclog the shower as they persons they finally sent had no idea how to fix it. When attempting to ask for a different room another rude employee told us float out “no” and “there was no way to change/refund or modify…..” When checking out of our room I asked for a receipt or an email receipt and the employee behind the counter looked at me like I was crazy and said “No. You don’t need a receipt and I don’t have to give you one.” When asking for the hotel managers name they refuse to give me this information. This has been by far the worst stay at a hotel I have had in a very long time. I will never come back here and will do my best to warn people of this place and the terrible costumer service

The room was clean. The staff was cranky because we checked in 20-mins early. The room charge was increased because we asked for a double queen bed instead of a king bed. She put us in the very end unit thus taking away any harbor view we might of had. The room rate climbed to $215.00 a night - so the total bill was $430.00 Travelocity might want to go the extra step in explaining the pet fee because every place we stayed had a different price for dogs. I don't mind paying a pet deposit but if there is no damage then it just becomes an extra way to make money off your guests. My guess is the older dogs and smaller dogs are zero trouble and the extra money paid is just pure profit - a sleazy way to increase the profit line.

Have always stayed here when we are in town. I came by myself this trip. The ladies that run the motel went above and beyond. From helping me find the perfect bed, offering an extra blanket - even treating me like family. They are warm, professional and will take great care of you. Ended up staying another night! I can’t wait to come back!

Close to the Ocean

Located at the Harbor, great for attending the Classic Car Show at the end of August of each years. Good places to eat within walking distance. Love staying here, nice people!

After checking in, I received a note with my key: "Wi-Fi is available in Public Areas only and is not guaranteed inside of rooms." No open inside public areas. 59 degrees outside. If I'd known this, I'd have gone elsewhere. I was told by the evening clerk that breakfast was from 8am-9am. NO ONE THERE AT THAT TIME!!!

Solid value for the price. Simple and clean. Continental breakfast was nothing to get excited about but at least there was something.

It is quite old but everything works perfectly. The location is very nice, it is quiet and cozy. The breakfast was very meagre. I can recommend this place.

Motel was out dated and smelled like smoke. The breakfast only had bananas and bagels and other small grab and go snacks. Definitely not breakfast as advertised.

The "breakfast" that was advertised was a huge letdown. A one hour window with barely anything but poptarts and like items. For almost $200 a room i would expect more. Also no coffee in the lobby until 8am??

It is advertised as free wifi but once your checked in they give you a paper stating wifi available in public space only may not be available in rooms, which we didn’t have. Wouldn’t have booked this place knowing that we didn’t have WiFi available in our room. Continental breakfast not until 7:30, small area with just 3 tables. Food was mini muffins, cereal and bananas. If you wanted water you had to purchase a bottle. No water dispenser for guest. Thermostat didn’t work properly, had to turn to off to get the heat to stop.
