Quality Inn near Sunset Park

Room is clean but no iron nor iron board . No hair dryer and no closet.. breakfast is very very poor selection . . I will skip this place next time I am in my .

Check in was easy and the room itself appeared clean. The room included a mini refrigerator and TV. Although some tabletops were marble, cracks and chips were present as was chipped wood dressers (though did not affect function). The hotel did provide a free continental breakfast. No restaurant for other meals, though a private grocery shop is within walking distance. Parking can be tricky, found across the street under a bridge.

I booked this hotel to be close to the Brooklyn Half Marathon start line. It was a 25 minute train ride to the start and 35 minute train ride back from Coney Island. For this the hotel was great! The neighborhood is low key and quiet. I was really impressed by the Roku in my room! I would have given the hotel 5 stars but the elevator wasn't working. After running the half marathon it was a pain to walk up four flights of stairs. Overall, great place if you need a place to sleep. I will be staying here when I run the NYC Marathon in November.

I selected this hotel because it was reasonably priced and was a Quality Inn. After I was checked into a 3rd floor room I was told the elevator was out of service. I am in fair condition for 82 so this was VERY unwelcome news. The room its self was FILTHY. Sticky residue along the floor and on the ledge in front of the TV. There was dust and debris on the floor as well and mildew in the shower. I was switched to a 1st floor room the next day. This was slightly cleaner but faced the express way and had constant loud noise. You get what you pay for.

The staff was excellent, and check-in was easy. My only issue was that there was hair that wasn't mine all over my bed, under the covers, and in the bathroom.

The location of the property is great and the staff were very friendly. The room seemed run down but clean. However, I woke up after the first night with bug bites across my face, hands and legs. I told the front desk and they said they hadn’t had any report of bed bugs. I also didn’t see any bed bugs but 3 days later I am still in pain and itchy from these bites. I ended up checking out early and asked for a refund but they said they most likely won’t be able to give me one since I booked through Expedia. A manager was supposed to call me and never did. I don’t feel confident recommending this place to anyone given what happened to me. I was also a maid of honor in a wedding and it was unfortunate my face got so bitten up for it. I hope they call an exterminator and get it sorted.

The surrounding areas, hallways, elevators, and room have a funny unpleasant odor— I scorned the room I was in, 311. I bought spraying cleaner and disinfectant wipes to make my self feel comfortable, as I needed to wipe down the door handles, the ac unit, bathroom vanity counter, tv remote, refrigerator door because I felt like I scorned the place. 🤔 However, I felt like the best time was when I was either sleeping at nights or away from the hotel. It’s quiet though, and I did not experience any common problems. My only concern was the way the place smell; from the main entrance to the elevator to the hallways to my room. The Chinese lady was nice to allow me to leave my luggage in a storage room or by the front desk. They did not have a real continental breakfast — they had butter, bagels, slices of breads and teas. It was a disappointment because I specifically wanted a decent variety of continental breakfast for my son(16), but the place did not feel inviting so my son refused to leave the room for breakfast. Yuck!

Hotel is extremely run down. Bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly. There is writing all over the walls and the property is in poor condition. If you have other options in this price range, stay somewhere else.

didn’t really “like” anything about this hotel, if i didn’t need to be in BK for work i would’ve stayed somewhere else. booked a king bed for two nights, the bed was the entire room. room was small & clearly outdated. i think they stuck a big smart TV in there to distract you from how bad the room was. no dresser/closet for storage, just small nightstands. our bathroom looked like it had mold in the caulking. also the door of the hotel was thin and had a gap from the bottom which let in a lot of noise and light and honestly a mouse could’ve fit under the door if it wanted to. everything needs to be renovated. they need fresh, NEW linens. our duvet didn’t even have a duvet cover, just sheets around it & the mattress under was clearly old. honestly, EVERYTHING is just clearly old. i could tell the linens had been washed but most of them were stained. just know there is nothing quality about this inn ok? the entire building just needs a little more love & care & i would not stay here again.

The place is quite good. The bathroom has been newly renovated and is clean and hygienic. However, the breakfast is rather simple.

Bed linen was terrible smell of cigarette smoke and was worn out from washing often old sheets and pillows cases, the bath towels and wash cloth was worn out. Overall just need newer sheets sets and bath towels. Positive thing they had fire stick tv could watch Netflix and Amazon prime

The Staff and service was good. The hotel is located the front of 278 Highway, It's noisy all the time. subway's station nearby doesn't work all the time and it can be inconvinient if you have to go at night.

The rooms on the street side were incredibly noisy 24 hours a day, and I really do not understand why they can be booked. I just could get a few hears of sleep, but I was always woken up by the trafic noise. I was lucky to be able to move backyards the following night. The breakfast is really not good, and the day staff did not make me welcome (maybe they were tired and it was a bad week for them?). It was not a pleasant experience.

Next to a highway but for us it was white noise. Good beds. Good pillows. Great cafe next door

Units are very small. But that should be expected in crowded Brooklyn.

Poor cleanliness, the windows does not open, really bad for security if there is a fire or emergency.

I wasn’t explained properly about tolls or any other thing. Seem like person wasn’t happy with there job. I even explained to worker I have not drove in Ny since 2007. What do I need to know about things out here. No explanation now I’m getting hit with all these fees and no proper breakdown to the amount charged.

Pleasant stay for local night out. Parking was available on the street. I was accommodated early check in which was quick and easy. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was available.

I have to give a huge thank you to Kenzo who works the evening shift at the Front Desk. I reserved a handicapped accessible room with two beds for my sister and I and when we arrived, there weren't any available. We were there to attend a funeral and had just driven up from NC. Kenzo asked if we would give him a few minutes to see what he could do whether it was at his hotel or another that could provide what we needed. It took him about 10 minutes but he was able to place us in an accessible room with a King bed as the person who'd reserved it wanted the room but didn't need to have it. We needed to extend our stay an additional day so it was back to Kenzo to see if he would be able to let us stay in that room or if we'd have to move to another. The price he originally quoted for the one we were in was higher than for our previous two nights so we both went to work trying to find a cheaper rate. Kenzo was able to reduce the original quote by almost $50.Kenzo was 2-0! Nessa works the Front Desk on the day shift and she was ever gracious and kind whenever we had to interact with her. I've never stayed in a hotel located in the middle of a working neighborhood. It was a real NY experience. We were able to make it to grab a bagel and tea/coffee each morning. The bagels were always fresh, the room clean and supplies well stocked. The one main complaint that I have relates to the shower stall where I had a death grip on the grab bar because I feared that I would fall.

They wouldn't allow me to do a late checkout for the person I reserved a room for (who was dealing with stage 4 brain cancer), and instead gave me one option of paying for an extra night. I called multiple numbers at Quality Inn and nobody helped. I will never book with you again if I can help it.

Overall service was outstanding and rooms were clean. The staff and management were very courteous and tried very hard to open and repair our room door which ceased opening for us (and them). Staff could not repair quickly so they provided us with an equivalent room. The process took over an hour because they had to prep the room for us. This was a bit nerve-racking because we were almost too late for our son's graduation. Again, staff worked hard to correct the situation and were very kind and helpful to us. I don't judge them too harshly because locks can break anywhere.

Over all a good place to stay of you want to be away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. I stayed here during my trip to run the New York City Marathon. Early morning train access to the Staten Island ferry played an important roll in my decision to stay here. There's a nice park on the water a few blocks away. It's peaceful. This is my second time staying here for a running event. The whole area feels safe at night. It's a block away from the train station.

Its a tough urban hotel, worn and rough around the edges in noisy industrial surroundings, but rooms at the back are quiet, it was clean, its basic, it does the job!

Property was OK for the one night we used it for for cruising but i would not come to stay for a long time. It was right near the highway along with the night time didnt look safe.

I liked that it was a short walk to the subway station, but the sheets weren’t clean, the room was extremely small and very outdated. The breakfast wasn’t good either with limited options. Location was great to access public transportation and staff was very nice, but the area isn’t nice at all. I wouldn’t recommend this place

The breakfast had limited offerings. The 2nd morning, almost all the food and drinks were gone half-way through the hours for breakfast. When inquiring at the front desk, we were told that someone would be there to re-stock and also that most guests went out for breakfast. The location was convenient to Sunset Park and Industry City (walking distance).

Very handy to the subway

It was a great stay all around just a couple of walks down from a Costco and a mall area, Japan village!(Recommend for people who are enthusiasts of Japanese culture, good food and book store)Only thing I didn't like was locals were popping fire works for some reason, I can't really hold it against the property owners for that. I saw like a silverfish crawling on the wall my second day there...harmless, but not sure it's a bother to anyone else.

Extremely noisy from the elevated highway. Breakfast was poor -didn’t even have hot water for the oatmeal or tea and got yelled at for asking politely that the breakfast guy boil up some water for us. The bath mat outside the shower was filthy but folded so the one clean edge showed - not very inviting. All in all a disappointment.

No issues with bed, room or people in other rooms. Breakfast is no good. Stale bagels and "I-am-not-sure" coffee.
