It was amazing!! My friend and I enjoyed the hot tub in the magical forest, the delicious breakfasts, and the cozy ambiance. Jill and Charles were lovely and it was fun chatting with them as well as with the other guests!

What an absolute delight Kangaroo House was! Charles and Jill were the sweetest hosts one could hope for, the property was very accommodating of any special needs, and any issue was taken care of promptly. The room we stayed in (Nuthatch) was perfect for our needs and very quiet and private. Watching the birds on the feeders (and the squirrels sometimes too) in the morning was so peaceful. They have plenty of nice outdoor seating to breathe in the island air and relax as well. Breakfast was *amazing* each and every morning, just the right way to start a beautiful day on Orcas Island. We will definitely return for another stay!

I cannot speak highly enough of my experience at the Kangaroo house. Our hosts were very welcoming on arrival, showing us around the property, which is beautiful, as well as the home amenities. They have a hot tub which is perfect for relaxing in during nice days and a working fireplace that feels cozy on the not-so-nice days. Jill and Charles were attentive to our needs in all the right ways. I was there for a trail running race and have celiac and they took extra steps to make sure I had gluten free options for food. My husband had their normal breakfast and said it was amazing. He hates pancakes but said the ones they made were incredible. Additionally they were very friendly and inviting to an LGBTQ couple staying there which made me feel safe and welcome. I look forward to going back in the future!

Quiet and quaint B&B, lovely grounds. Its close to the main shopping district. The breakfast was fantastic and they ask specifically for any allergies or dislikes. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Our 3 night stay at the Kangaroo House was exceptional. The room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The house is lovely with lots of great places to sit including a beautiful deck that feels like a tree house. Our hosts were just the best kind of people and exceptional cooks! The breakfasts were amazing! We can't wait to come back.

Great bed and breakfast with a beautiful property in a very good location in eating Eastsound. Less than 5 min to downtown and quick walk to North Beach which had great sunsets. No more than 10-20 min drive to most places on the island. The breakfasts were cooked with care and delicious and the hosts were warm and welcoming. Charles is an amazing host and a really cool and interesting person. We had such a wonderful stay! There were so many thoughtful touches- the quaint little hot tub setup, cozy bathrobes, awesome tea selection, sweet library, and OMG the breakfast was out of this world!

We hadn’t stayed in a B&B in years—and never one quite as exceptional as this. Charles and Jill made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. The grounds were stunning; we loved relaxing on the deck, watching hummingbirds flit through the trees in the peaceful, wooded setting. I loved the history of this B&B. It was comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding. The hosts were interesting and socialized during breakfast. It was great to have conversations together with the other guests. I had the cute and extremely quaint room facing the trees. It was perfect. This place was very clean and the tasteful furnishings made my experience authentic and stylized for a comfortable stay. This place was FULL of interesting people. I will go back and stay again.

This was the nicest BNB I have visited! The house and room were exceptional. The house was in excellent repair (no wear and tear at all). None of the musty smell most older homes have. The room was beautiful and well designed. Breakfast was excellent. The hosts were very helpful. All in all an excellent stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast and coffee setup were AMAZING and the hosts were just so welcoming and nice. The room was very clean. Only issue was the beds were uncomfortable but if you like a firm bed, you’ll be great. Would highly recommend!!

I can't say enough about how wonderful our stray was. Instead of feeling like a guest, Jill and Charles made us feel like good friends welcomed into their home. A lovely BnB with very gracious hosts, a super breakfast, and beautiful grounds. Our room was well appointed and spacious, but the king size bed was actually two twin together in an ill-fitting frame, so was rather saggy. We had an early departure on the second morning, so the hosts were very kind to pack us a bag breakfast to go.

Jill and Charles were attentive to our needs in all the right ways. I was there for a trail running race and have celiac and they took extra steps to make sure I had gluten free options for food. My husband had their normal breakfast and said it was amazing. He hates pancakes but said the ones they made were incredible. Additionally they were very friendly and inviting to an LGBTQ couple staying there which made me feel safe and welcome. I look forward to going back in the future!

The Kangaroo House on Orcas Island was a great place to stay. The breakfasts were amazing, and hosts Jill and Charles were friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful with information about the island. A lovely BnB with very gracious hosts, a super breakfast, and beautiful grounds. Our room was well appointed and spacious, but the king size bed was actually two twin together in an ill-fitting frame, so was rather saggy. We had an early departure on the second morning, so the hosts were very kind to pack us a bag breakfast to go.

Walkable distance into the main town of Eastsound, and even shorter walk to the Orcas Center for live music (we were there for Jazz Fest weekend). Charles and Jill are wonderful hosts; excellent cooks; and worldly, great people and conversationalists. The accommodation was charming and situated on beautiful grounds. Each morning after breakfast, we'd talk for a couple of hours with them about books, film, culture, travels, and everything under the sun, like old friends catching up. I can't rave enough about this experience

Great bed and breakfast with a beautiful property in a very good location in eating Eastsound. Less than 5 min to downtown and quick walk to North Beach which had great sunsets. No more than 10-20 min drive to most places on the island. The breakfasts were cooked with care and delicious and the hosts were warm and welcoming. We had a wonderful time at this spotless and charming inn on Orcas Island. The breakfasts were fantastic; they didn't repeat a meal during our week-plus stay. Hosts were charming, informative and fun to talk to, as were the other guests.

I cannot speak highly enough of my experience at the Kangaroo house. Our hosts were very welcoming on arrival, showing us around the property, which is beautiful, as well as the home amenities. They have a hot tub which is perfect for relaxing in during nice days and a working fireplace that feels cozy on the not-so-nice days. Th e proprietors here offer not only a lovely, comfortable place to be, with great attention to detail, but encourage and participate in a wonderful conversational environment at breakfast. The Nuthatch room requires a one-step climb up into the elevated bed, (very comfortable). All amenities are provided. I did miss a comfortable surface to sit on inside the room as the existing two chairs and upholstered bench felt hard and uncomfortable to me. That said, there are numerous very comfortable spaces to nestle into both inside the B&B, e.g., in the living area or the cozy library and on the entrance patio. Breakfasts are extraordinary – freshly made, exquisitely presented, and absolutely delicious. The B&B is very quiet at night; during the day, the sound of occasional propeller aircraft landing and taking off is audible from the airport located nearby. The location is walkable to a lovely small beach, and it is a five-minute drive to the center of Eastsound village. Overall, this was a pleasant and rewarding stay.
