We stayed at Tudor Cottage for three nights, a treat for my Husbands birthday . The cottage is from the 15 th century and is called a burbage . Which means it belonged to a King or Lord ! In this case King Henry the Eighth . Huge wood fire ,,which made the living room really cosy Although old , the cottage has everything you could wish for. There is a lovely garden out the back , which I am sure in the summer evenings , it would be a lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink or two . The bedrooms are beautifully furnished . My only negative is the stairs , which are steep and windy . My Hysband had to carry our dig up and down at bedtime . Fairford is a lovely little town with access to some beautiful parts of the Cotsworlds. We had an Indian takeaway on our first evening there , which I would recommend . Overall , a lovely stay .
