Connected to a winery, this hostel is in a great location and is very atmospheric, simultaneously historic and modern. The beds were comfortable and clean, with a little more space between them than a typical hostel. During the day, the 2 private bathrooms were clean and dry. However, each time someone showered, water would overflow onto the bathroom floor and pool around the drain or the toilet. Then guests would enter the bathroom with shoes on, mixing dirt from their shoes with the pools of water, making muddy footprints, which is unappealing. The management should consider installing shower curtains or a 2 inch lip on the base of the shower to stop the overflow. Aside from that, loved this hostel and would highly recommend it.

From start to finish my solo stay in a mixed dorm was a fantastic experience. Staff were very helpful as I turned up, booked me onto a local boat tour and even gave me a travel sewing kit as my short’s button decided to detach as I got to the hostel. Everything was super clean and the welcome drink was a nice touch, the bar/dining area has great views and the hostel is in a great location if you want to be in the thick of the bars/restaurants/port houses. There is a cheap dinner they did for guests, I didn’t partake as I had plans but sounded like it would be good. Additionally, guests get cheaper tours of their port house. Again, I didn’t partake as I had plans but will be keeping this in mind for next time. As you walk in the large mixed form using you key card to access, there are 4 modern and clean bathrooms. Towels are provided and just need to ask for fresh ones if you would like one. The bedroom itself have a series of high and low beds which are comfortable and have bedding with canopies on the side to give an element of privacy. There isn’t anyone sleeping directly above or below you. Each bed has a locker assigned which you set a code to lock, however, this may not be situated next to your bed depending on which one you are assigned. Breakfast was decent, nothing cooked but I did see some people get omelettes so maybe this is an option. There was fruit, bread and preserves, you got a croissant with cheese & ham, yogurt with granola, cereal, coffee/tea

Such great value for a beautiful location, and beautiful views from the commons area. I was in a mixed dorm, which was very comfortable, with a comfortable full sized mattress. The most comfortable hostel I’ve stayed in. 10 beds, and 4 bathrooms with showers. I just wish there were mats to dry the floors after people showered. I think a person with mobility problems would have a hard time due to the stairs. The lift going up the stair case, at the entrance wasn’t working. For me, it was a good leg workout.

部屋の窓から川辺が見える部屋を予約しました。お値段は少ししましたが、確かに見応えはたっぷりで、とても満足できました。ホテルの共用スペースも素晴らしく、快適に滞在できます。 他方で古いワイナリーを改装した設備のため、エレベーターはなく、重い荷物がある場合には頑張って持って上げる必要があります。この宿を利用するとワイナリーツアーを割引で利用できるそうですが、私たちは予約がいっぱいで利用できませんでした（事前に相談と声掛けもしていたのですが）。総じて施設は素晴らしいのですが、値段は四つ星レベルを要求するのに、ホスピタリティはそのレベルに達しない、そんな印象です。

My husband and I loved this hotel. He is 87 and I am 75 so it might seem like an unusual choice for us. The check-in desk is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. But we were game for the climb. My husband went up first and we received a great Portuguese welcome. Young adults came down and carried our bags upstairs to our room for us. They refused to accept any tip for the service. Instead, we were treated like respected grandparents/aunt and uncle. Our room was beautifully clean and had an amazing view of Porto from the Vila Nova de Gaia side of the Rio Douro. When we were getting ready to leave the next morning, the staff was a bit concerned that we had not ordered a custom breakfast from their menu, and instead chose sliced fruit and their wonderful brown bread with butter, and coffee. (We were having a traditional Portuguese lunch with our daughter and her husband in the early afternoon and you know what that means!) When it was time to leave the hotel, young people again carried our bags downstairs, and once again, refused a tip for their service. We highly recommend this hotel for those who love something fun and different and can manage a stair climb for a wonderful view of Porto.

Det fedeste hostel vi nogensinde har været på. Havde 4 overnatninger og allerede efter en halv dag kunne personalet genkende os. Hjælpsomme ansatte og en helt fantastisk morgenmad. Deres drinks med portvin i er også gode på terrassen foran hotellet, og sangriaen er den bedste jeg har smagt.

+ God beliggenhed, tæt på alt det hyggelige. Og super service på stedet. Dog en smule underlig med sammen-arbejde med " The Terrasse " / gårdhaven. Var ikke muligt at købe take away og gå op og spise, dette skulle foregå i gårdhave.. ! Boede i værelse 10, lige op til opholds / spise rum. Så lige lovlig meget støj om aften ved sengetid. Måske der kunne skiltes med ro i salen efter kl. 23.00 eller lign. Og så var der mangel på eller ingen varmt vand 2 ud af 5 dage !! Håber ikke det vare ved i gennem sæsonen :o)

A lovely stay in a safe area. The staff are really helpful and nice. The beds are large and comfortable. The breakfast is simple and buffet-style with some fresh items like eggs made to order. They offer 24/7 water and luggage storage. I hope to see more bins placed around (since the only one is in Kitchen). Overall a good stay, I recommend it.

Absolut tolles Hostel mit einem grandiosen Blick auf Porto. Vom Flughafen ist es gut mit der Metro zu erreichen. Auch das Zentrum von Porto kann gut zu Fuß erreicht werden. Das Hostel ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Und die Mitarbeitenden alle freundlich und hilfsbereit. Mir wurde eine Free-Walking Tour empfohlen. Perfekt! Vielen Dank.

The rooms and bathrooms are very well kept and clean, the lounge is great and the staff is very kind. I recommend it to everyone who wants to travel in a hostel, it feels like a hotel!

Everything was perfect. We stayed in a River View room and loved watching the sunset and Porto’s night lights right from our window — no need to go out to enjoy the view. The room was spotless and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. If we visit beautiful Porto again, we’d definitely stay here again!

La chambre était située à côté de l'espace commun et nous avons été malheureusement dérangés par le bruit.

객실- 슈페리어 리버뷰때문에 예약했는데 제가 당첨된 방은 가장 끝쪽으로 조금 작고 창이 하나였어요. 층고가 높아 히터를 틀어도 19.9도 이상은 절대 안올라갑니다. 겨울에 가시는 분은 찹고하세요. 조식- 전날 저녁에 웹으로 주문하면 아침에 라운지에서 실시간으로 조리해서 가져다 주십니다. 오믈렛 따뜻하고 너무 맛있어요. 부페식에서 추가로 필요한 만큼 더 먹을수도 있어요. 커피와 차는 항상 준비되어있고 특히 커피가 맛있습니다. 직원들은 정말 친절랍니다.

Dejlige vlrelser med gammel stil og charme. Pænt og rent med gramafon afspiller på værelset. Plader byttes i receptionen. Morgenmaden bliver lavet på bestilling. Så der er ikke en masse der har rodet i dine spejlæg eller omolet.

Wonderful view over the Douro river. Central location for our port house wine touring. Made to order breakfast + additional buffet was satisfying. Bed was firm/hard, but this wasn’t a big issue for our one-night stay. We stayed in a private room - I believe this location has dorm/hostel rooms as well.

Absolutely surpassed my expectations. I stayed in a suite and the room was nicer than most hotels for an incredible price. Outstanding view. Staff was friendly and remembered me every morning (tho I was only there 2 nites)! Breakfast was good and online ordering was easy. The record player and records were a great added touch. I did a tour of the cellars there as well and the hostel provided discount tickets. Such a great visit. I’d absolutely come back!

Amazing stay! The staff was great, especially the staff with blonde-ish white hair, they truly made the whole stay very comfortable. This has been my favourite hostel I’ve ever stayed at and the wine was fantastic :)

Lovely staff, unique and comfy beds, excellent breakfast, and enjoyable atmosphere

Excellent location with the best views of Porto from our room. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Our breakfast was excellent. The hotel has a wine cellar for tours, it also offers tours and other services (at discounted rates). I'd definitely stay again if back in Porto.

We love the vibe and family feel. We stay in one of the hotel rooms but having the hostel is part of the charm. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great recommendations. And a view that goes on forever.

Die Unterkunft hat eine sehr gute Lage. Vor der Tür kann man direkt Bootsfahrten unternehmen. Alle großen Portwein-Kellereien sind um die Ecke. Auch die andere Flussseite von Porto ist fußläufig binnen 15min erreichbar. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich! Einen deutlichen Abzug gibt es allerdings für die Lärmkulisse am Abend! Das Frühstück besteht aus einer Basic Kategorie, die für jeden zugänglich ist (auch für die Gäste der Mehrbettzimmer). Gäste, die ein Doppelzimmer gebucht haben, können sich à la carte Eierspeisen und Kaffee sowie Wurst und Käse dazu bestellen. Es wäre jedoch angenehmer, wenn sich das Hostel entschieden hätte: Frühstück gegen Aufpreis oder gar kein Frühstück! Es gibt einem ein komisches Gefühl der Abstufung. Ich würde das Hostel trotz der genialen Lage eher nicht noch einmal buchen!

Location is perfect, and the hostel is amazing. Great value for money

Unfortunately for us the stay was spoilt by the very loud music and noise from outside. When we checked in the Lady on reception said the bars etc would close at 9pm. It was still going on at 1am. I can only suggest an investment in double or triple glazing. Everything else was really good, our room and bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and spacious.

No podía tener una vista más hermosa de Porto, dormimos con las ventanas abiertas escuchando las gaviotas. Una belleza. Muy recomendado.

I was pleasantly suprised, this was a really good hostel. Great location, clean, safe, you actually get enough space to yourself without feeling invaded. I got the 1 bed in 7bedroom space. Definitely worth your money. The only downside is the breakfast is a bit limited, but you can always order and pay for more options

I will definitely come back!! The staff members were really friendly. I have got a welcome drink on the first night which was really nice. Breakfast variety was plenty. The design of the room reflects the winery itself. There is plenty of place to store things. The good thing is there is a door separate the bedding area and bathrooms. There is 4 bathrooms to share in a 14-bed dorm and i never need to wait for a second to use it.

Nous avons signalé notre status gold mais nous n avons pas reçu de boisson. Le petit dejeuner etait moyen. Pas de jambon fumé. Pas de pancakes dommage a 160 euro la nuit. Le service etait bien et chambres propres
