Casa da Avó, campo praia a 2 kms do mar

This is one of the best home rentals we have stayed in. Good location for Porto (we went by train for the day) and Aveiro (used our hire car). The house was so well equipped. Filter coffee a nice touch. Towels, shower gel, toilet rolls, washing up liquid , dishwasher and washing machine detergent. The pool was clean and the garden a sun trap. Great BBQ - prawns are really cheap compared to UK. Great on BBQ! Local town is a bit run down but the seafront is ok and thebeach is magnificent - huge waves but there is a life guard. We had a great curry takeaway one night from near the central beach.There is a supermarket 5 mins walk away. You need a hire car and there are stunning beaches all along the coast. Aveiro beach also wonderful. The house has a beach umbrella you can use. Free parking in most spots and near train station. Day ticket to Porto only around 8 which included bus and tram. Comfortable beds and lovely sociable open plan kichen / dining/ lounge. Outside table and chairs and the garden gets the afternoon/evening sun. The host was easy to contact and helpful. Some maps and brouchures available too. Secure parking. We highly tecommend this Portugese-style house.
