Comfort Inn South Padre Island Central

There is no elevator and the the are rooms under construction and are separated by a yellow tape Line only. The AC was not working and you can see mold stains in the room ceiling

The pool is too small and in the front part of the hotel facing the street but over all nice.

Room was nice, elevator was under construction making it a bit of inconvenience. Front desk lady questioned needing more towels when only 3 where in the room. Not allott of parking. Overall stay was good. Close to beach!

The property listed washer and dryer, there was none for guests. We were told the remodeled property had them. Sheets and towels smelled. Fridge wasn't cool. Tv did not have premium channels as stated. Breakfast had to be eaten downstairs, with limited space for all the guest to even fit. NO elevators. As a 8 momth pregnant woman, it was a struggle. That is something that should be listed. It took us 10 minutes to check in bc the front desk clerk was on the phone. To check out i waited in line for more than 5 min, so i juat kindly left my keycards on the desk, as i had my family waiting in the car.

The only problem i had was elevator was not working , and my mother is elderly.

Breakfast was selections were good and fresh. Parking is a little tight but safe. Elevator was shut down and having to carry bags to the upper level was a little bit of a pain. Staff were courteous.

Very comfortable and clean rooms. Close 2 min walk to the beach and lots of dining options nearby. Also have a playground on site for the littles. The only downside is no elevator, so keep that in mind.

Room was clean, water pressure was not good for showering. Wouldn’t recommend to someone who cannot go up and down stairs constantly, they need an elevator in this hotel.

Middle of the island which was perfect. However, beds were doubles not queens as described, when I called to the front desk they argued with me about it. No elevator at all so be prepared to hike your bags up and down steep stairs. The doors don’t shut all the way so you can hear all of the hallway noise.

The room was ok but the common areas were filthy. We accessed our room from the back door and the entry way was not cleaned or swept for the 3 days we were there. And and dirt on the floor and over flowing trash cans for 3 days! No vending machines at all on the property. Next time in the area would stay elsewhere.

The room smelled bad, the mattress was ripped up, the desk chair was stained and looked like it had never been cleaned. We didn’t stay our last night because it was too dirty.

It was so dirty they didn't clean any of the common areas for days. Towels were limited we couldn't get clean towels for the 4 prople in our room. They never came to check our room to see if we needed anything cleaned, never emptied the garbage in our room or outside our room or on the outside of the property. Someone broke a bottle near the door and we cleaned it up so nobody cut themselves. There's plenty of places to stay on the island i'd not stay here if you had a choice. If it was at least clean you get what you pay for.

The sheets were dirty, the bathroom too. The elevator was broken so that was a struggle.

The pictures online do not look like the property! There was black mold in our room!

The room was clean but it had a musty smell. The property seemed old and in need of renovations. The hallway smelled and carpet was dirty. Breakfast area and lobby area was really small. Furniture in lobby was stained. You are paying for location really!

The water pressure was ridiculously too low

The rooms themselves seemed a little cramped. There was hardly any room to get around. It wouldn't be bad if I was alone, but I hady family. If 2 people were up off the bed you were gonna be in each other's way. The breakfast area is small also, 3 tables. Extremely cramped.

The room was very small, too small for two beds. I didn’t like the feeling of being enclosed in such a tight space. It definitely wasn’t what I’m used to staying at when staying at a Comfort Suites/ Choice Hotel. The carpet in the hall ways were GROSS and let’s not even get started on the stickiness from the humidity inside. The breakfast was absolutely TERRIBLE! Choice Hotels should be embarrassed to serve that food. Seriously, it was bad. I couldn’t do it.

The shower only had lukewarm water, the bed pillows were small and flat and had thin walls, can hear everything. Location was fine and staff was friendly.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the beach. The room was clean but an unpleasant odor came from the sink every time we turned on the faucet. The breakfast area is small. Overall, the stay was ok for a 2 night family trip.

Good stay at comfort inn level, breakfast good, even started it early for us. Rooms clean good wifi and tv, staff friendly. Quiet time in town, hotel not busy but shower not hot, warm so passable but not ideal.

Walls are paper thin& internet never worked in end, first floor room! Only cleaned when notified! Nice two queen room!

Staff was rude and unexpected charges after the fact of paying for simple snacks. Not enough towels nor toilet paper on hand.

I booked my stay at this hotel over two months in advance, expecting a safe and professional experience. Unfortunately, that’s far from what I received. During my stay, my room key was mistakenly given to another guest, who entered my room while I was inside. This was incredibly alarming and felt like a major security breach. Even worse, the same group later returned and harassed us in that original room before we were finally relocated. While the staff apologized and moved us after the harassment, there was no follow-up to ensure our safety or well-being, and no compensation was offered. When I inquired about compensation, I was met with attitude and told I could just check out if I wanted—which felt dismissive and unprofessional. I was also told the new room we were moved to was more expensive, but no proof or rate breakdown was given. I later checked both the hotel’s own website and Expedia, where I booked the stay, and found that both rooms were listed at the same rate—meaning I was misled. There was no manager on duty at the time of these incidents, and no manager followed up afterwards. Additionally, none of the hotel staff I interacted with wore name tags, which made it impossible to know who I had spoken to. This lack of accountability made an already stressful situation feel even worse. Despite all of this, the hotel has refused to issue any form of compensation, simply stating the stay was nonrefundable.

Staff was really rude about getting extra towels. One girl even said I’d be charged 25 for a towel only because it had makeup on it. I froze my cards. Just fyi.

Worst customer service provided by front desk lady. So much attitude. She wanted to argue with us , speak Spanish to her manager in front of us, acting like we didn’t tell her why we didn’t wanna stay. Kept saying “I don’t know why” to her manager in Spanish. Treated us very horribly. We were the only white people Around, and felt so uncomfortable and unwelcomed to be there. Lady didn’t want to refund us what so ever. It was either was stay there or go somewhere else but she was not refunding any of our stay. Wouldn’t let us talk to her manager. Manager called us directly, apologized for her staffs customer service and bad attitude, did what she could to help us. But this being the first thing we endured coming on to the island and very distasteful.

Comfort inn review Check-in was fine and Jasmine was very pleasant. She shared the elevator was broken but we only had one flight of stairs. The room had the AC going and there was no control, remote or otherwise. She was able to accommodate us to a room with two queen beds on the first floor. The room itself was clean and bed was comfortable. However, the sink water was slow to drain. The next day, when we returned from the beach we decided to use the pool but it wasn’t accessible per Brenda who shared she was uncertain when the pool would be re-opened. The next day the pool was opened again and we commented that it was nice to see it open as her initial response to us was that repairs would be indefinite. Brenda seemed perturbed when we questioned the quick repair as she said she didn’t say this. We checked in on Wednesday and on Saturday asked for our room to be cleaned. It was not. Brenda was not apologetic and instead seemed defensive when we asked for clean towels. We inquired for the the Manager and she said, “she didn’t know who the Manager was.”Our experience was that she was dismissive and did not provide good customer service. In the future we will not stay at this Comfort Inn. We want to point out that Jasmine was professional and accommodating, Brenda was neither.

The staff were very accomadation and pleasant , we had a problem with.our booking because of Expedias mistake and the staff handled it very well.

Very inviting and great service

The front desk staff was rude at check in. The front desk clerk didn’t want to take my credit card for the 250.00 she wanted in cash. All the signs for cash only stuff was ridiculous. I had to ask her since when did y'all stop taking credit cards for a deposit. The curtains in the room didn’t cover the entire window. This was my worst stay at a hotel in a long time.

Very nice room and staff. This is a beautiful little town and the hotel is a quick walk to the beach!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn. We stayed there for 2 days. It was a cozy and snug room for a family of 4. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. It was in a convenient location on the main road, Padre Blvd. The only concern was crossing the street to walk to the beach. There is no traffic light and for families with toddlers or young kids you really have to hold their hands or carry them across the street. Overall, the hotel itself is nice. It was quiet and peaceful at night. The pool is nice and relaxing, not a big pool or area but you get a nice little break from the beach if you need it. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. We didn't eat breakfast but everything looked fresh. My family & I will definitely stay here again!

Pool was the smallest I have seen. Outside the hotel was very dirty, garbage everywhere on the ground. A/C water on the walkway. Staff was very friendly.

The breakfast bar was poorly stocked with utensils, condiments, and less variety than the competition. Otherwise, clean and cozy rooms and friendly service.

Hotel is obviously dated but it was clean and beds were comfy. Elevator was out of order which was inconvenient but other than that, no issues. Breakfast was surprisingly good every morning. Would stay here again.

This place was simply awesome! The one night we stayed. The beds were more comfortable than expensive hotels. The pillows awesome. The room spacious. Breakfast amazing with waffles, eggs, cereal and more. Coffee was great. This room blows the more expensive ones away with value and quality honestly. The AC kept the room cold. Totally impressed. Highly highly recommend.

The room was great, very clean. Staff was nice. The breakfast was iffy. The waffles and cold things were ok, but the eggs and sausage were horrible, as well, the coffee was pretty bad.

The light in the room kept flickering and tv was narrating everything and we couldnt change it. Then breakfast had ants all over the place on the breakfast counter.
