Great location; lovely accommodation; great food. Everything was fab, APART FROM the fact that live entertainment was happening in the bar below our rooms, & the floor in my room was vibrating quite severly, plus the booming of the bass was 'over the top' & sleep was NOT an option. Having chatted to the staff, they did offer us a discount on our rooms & a free breakfast the following morning. For anyone wanting an early relaxing evening in their room, be sure to confirm with the staff before you book.

Lovely hotel. Rooms were beautiful,clean and comfortable. Hotel good was excellent. The only issue we had was there was EXTREMELY load live music pulsating through our rooms until 11pm which did spoil the stay.

Lovely pub with a great room, shower was very good. Pub grub was extremely tasty and breakfast was great, never would have finished the large breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the Queens for 1 night prior to a conference in Telford. The position is great - around 10 minutes from the centre of Telford but out in the sticks . Our room was quirky but well equipped with an ironing board & iron and a hairdryer . The room was chilly when we arrived however quickly warmed up when the radiator was turned on . I’d booked for dinner and we had a lovely meal . Food was excellent , piping hot and tasty . Good to see the pub buzzing with lots of people eating too . Staff were attentive without being overly so . The bumph the pubs website mentioned potential noise & music from the bar until midnight on a Friday and Saturday - yes , there was noise however this finished at 11pm and we’d done warned with ear plugs anyway - thanks for the heads up!! My only critique and it’s purely selfish would be that I had to miss breakfast as service didn’t start until 9am and my conference started at 830 . My husband however returned to the hotel and had the most amazing breakfast at very competitive prices . I was insanely jealous as it looked so tasty and he was well impressed Overall a lovely place to stay and we’ll be back if I arranged another conference and you have rooms available . Highly recommended

Beautiful property in an idyllic location. we stayed following a visit to a nearby gin distillery. we ate in the bar as the restuarant was full, and the food was very good. and very plentiful. A singer started his set at 9pm and he was very good. But he got louder and louder. And Louder.... I had to leave the bar area as it was making my ears hurt. Unfortunately our room was right above the bar where the singer was and still the music got even louder. By 10.30 the wardrobe doors were vibrating, the mugs we were using were vibrating across the table and it was impossible to rest my head on the headboard as it was being shaken by the bass from the music. At around 11.10 the loud music did stop and the noise level was bearable. Just be aware that weekend stays may be loud as we didnt expect it, never having stayed before. Sunday breakfast was average and the tables were sticky. Disappointing after the lovely food the previous evening.

Stayed one night with daughter as visiting a nearby university. Bedroom and bathroom were clean; bed was comfortable and location was quiet. Breakfast choice was reasonable; happy we opted for the small cooked breakfast (which was of a high standard) ;there was plenty on the plate.

Stayed for a wedding so didn’t try the evening dinner service unfortunately but would definitely come back to try that as the restaurant was very welcoming and friendly. Overall the hotel was very clean and fresh, rooms were large and bathrooms very modern and bright. Only thing letting this place down is the shower leaks all over the floor whenever it’s used so had to use extra towels to clean this up. Otherwise couldn’t fault the place, staff were incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Thank you very much!

I was let down by a hotel in Shrewsbury and found this absolute gem of a hotel at the last minute what a lucky find I needed 2 rooms for one night and when I booked I decided to have an extra night exceptionally comfortable rooms very clean quiet and the white company toiletries very impressed the staff are so lovely and friendly and amazing breakfast

I have stayed more than 30 times in recent years and the standards have dropped significantly, no breakfast available, a really noisy fridge in the room along with kids cereals and a vastly reduced food menu in the bar. Used to be a standout hotel in the area but the Sutherland has taken over from what I have seen - shame On a positive the staff are lovely and it’s very clean

Had a great stay and breakfast at the Queens. Great for Harper Adams, staff were lovely. Only thing that was a little irritating was the guest room doors slamming!

The bumph the pubs website mentioned potential noise & music from the bar until midnight on a Friday and Saturday - yes , there was noise however this finished at 11pm and we’d done warned with ear plugs anyway - thanks for the heads up!! My only critique and it’s purely selfish would be that I had to miss breakfast as service didn’t start until 9am and my conference started at 830 . My husband however returned to the hotel and had the most amazing breakfast at very competitive prices . I was insanely jealous as it looked so tasty and he was well impressed Overall a lovely place to stay and we’ll be back if I arranged another conference and you have rooms available . Highly recommended

Stayed at the Queens for 1 night prior to a conference in Telford. The position is great - around 10 minutes from the centre of Telford but out in the sticks . Our room was quirky but well equipped with an ironing board & iron and a hairdryer . The room was chilly when we arrived however quickly warmed up when the radiator was turned on . I’d booked for dinner and we had a lovely meal . Food was excellent , piping hot and tasty . Good to see the pub buzzing with lots of people eating too . Staff were attentive without being overly so . Stayed one night with daughter as visiting a nearby university. Bedroom and bathroom were clean; bed was comfortable and location was quiet. Breakfast choice was reasonable; happy we opted for the small cooked breakfast (which was of a high standard) ;there was plenty on the plate.

Lovely pub with a great room, shower was very good. Pub grub was extremely tasty and breakfast was great, never would have finished the large breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff where amazing especially the Manager and the lady at breakfast....Sharon. Food was great ...breakfast again was amazing probably one of nicest breakfast I've ever had genuinely it was that good ! Room was fantastic no complaints about anything & will definitely be returning !

Amazing find as we were looking for somewhere not too far away to have a relaxing night and good food. 10 out of 10 for everything I can't recommend it enough. Staff great and engaging and food was great and not badly priced. The setting is lovely next to the fields on a warm summer evening. Thanks people for looking after us well. Staff willing to go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome and looked after which is rare these days.

It would have been good to know that the restaurant would be closed on the night of check-in, at the time of booking. It would be useful if the owner slept a night in Room 1. The mattress on the bed dates back to the reign of Queen Victoria. It is as supportive as David Brent is to a bereaved colleague. The potholed streets of Slough are like a snooker table compared to this torture device. Of course there were no fans available. I have asked for a receipt 3 times now. 4 days later, I've still not received one. I don't think I'll be staying here again.

What a wonderful and cozy place and such lovely and serviceminded people. Had an outstanding visit in the most beautiful room. Breakfast was a delight. Definitely worth a visit.
