Hyatt House across from Universal Orlando Resort

The hotel was OK, room was quiet. We stayed for 5 days; except for day one, only one elevator worked. Luckily, we were on the 2nd floor and could walk the stairs. There appeared to be a remodel error. the bathroom faucet hit the mirror and it would only turn on full hot or full cold. Other than those issues, no other problems.

They had ONE elevator out of three that was in working condition. So, the cleaning staff with their huge carts had to ride the same one as the guests and we waited far too long each time we had to take the elevator (to the 7th floor). Shower had NO water pressure whatsoever; I could have had a better shower outside in the previous night's thunderstorms! However, the water temperature was hot enough to melt your face off so not sure if that's a pro or a con? The breakfast choices were just meh. The room itself was nice, and the bed was comfy.

The hotel was clean, spacious and comfortable. The pool was well maintained and there was a bar nearby for the adults. You could also order food. The hotel is literally across from universal and offers a free shuttle to the parks. One suggestion is having free parking for guests.

Came down for a quick 3 day trip to Universal and Epic. Very nice hotel! Very clean throughout, the bed was comfortable, and the pool setup was great! The pool/lobby bar did not open until 4 though, which took away from being able to relax by the pool with a drink during the day. Overall a really great stay though!

The biggest problem with the property was the elevators were always broken. When I first arrived 2 out of the 3 elevators were broken. The following day, one of the elevators was fixed the then the only elevator that previously wasn’t broken, broke. Having only 1 working elevator was very inconvenient especially since the hotel seemed full. I had also talked to fellow guest who said that they knew people who were stuck in the elevator so I guess I was lucky in that sense. Staff was very nice and helpful, and the room was very comfortable. Very convenient if you are going to universal.

Overall a great place to stay. We took advantage of several on site amenities like pizza and drinks by the pool. Nice room and very comfortable beds. Not a fan of charging guests to park in a parking lot that the hotel obviously owns. Seems greedy and like a rip off based on the nightly price and there’s not even a guard gate to give you any peace of mind that your vehicle is safe. You want to charge a nightly fee to park, then use those funds to protect guests vehicles.

We loved the beds and the breakfast. Pool is small but kids still liked it. Close to Universal and 7 minute Uber to Epic Universe. Will recommend to friends.

Loved the hotel and pool and the breakfast was great. FYI you have to pay 22$ for parking.

Sofa bed was a nightmare. Breakfast foods (eggs, sausage, pancakes) were cold each day. Pool area was dirty.

The room was neglected and dirty, and there were roaches.. I would like a refund or a complimentary stay at a different Hyatt

The room was spotless and the breakfast was good as well. Thanks it will be my new stay for Universal. See you in a couple of weeks.

Rooms was infested with some type of bugs , notified the staff with video , moved to another room but room carpets were old, smelly , shower curtain dirty , doors were dirty , pretty much nothing clean , I wouldn't recommend this place

Room was dirty. Coffee maker had a hair in it. Stove and countertop dirty. Bathroom sink clogged and shower door stuck. Aside complained and no empathy. Had a DND on the door and housekeeper came in. Did the bed and the cup I used was left dirty in my sink. For three days crumbs in front of my door. Did not take the picture of the stove, coffeemaker and countertop.

Absolutely disgusting, first room wasn't even clean then they moved us to a different room after I complained and there was a cockroach in it. Look up my review on their page on google /yelp and Trustpilot for the full review since Expedia won't let me share the whole thing. Would never stay at a Hyatt again, DISGUSTING

We had to switch rooms because the mattress was stained! The room was not clean! Dust in places people normally would look! Toilet wasn’t properly cleaned and there was hair in the shower! Too much trouble to book elsewhere! Breakfast was HORRIBLE!!! I do not remember eating here !!!

Room was nice but couch bed would not pull out and room could have been cleaner. Continental breakfast was really good! The shuttle to universal was on time and convenient!

Worked great for our family. Could walk to Universal City Walk and the outlet mall. Larger than normal hotel room. Two queen beds and a pull out couch. Nice breakfast with a good variety of options.

Would stay here again! It was perfect for what we were looking for. Only downfall was AC would not go below 72 and the exhaust fan wouldn’t work in the bathroom. Other than that we had a wonderful stay!

The pool was great, right by the bar, so adults and kids could enjoy together. The room was great. The only suggestions would be towels by the pool. The sofa bed was NOT comfortable and I believe it was broken.

We liked the room, especially the mini-kitchen and breakfast. We also liked the free shuttle to Universal. But the air conditioner failed and we had to sleep without A/C in the Florida Summer. It seemed like the maintenance knew about the problem, so it appears they allowed it to persist. The phone also didn't work and they seemed unconcerned about that.

Great option for walking to the park with a large breakfast included. Newer property with a great kitchenette in the room. Checked all the boxes for our quick Universal stay!

The location is very convenient to Universal (20 minute walk), and the room was clean, modern, and spacious. My only complaints were that our room did not have cold water and that the continental breakfast did not include oatmeal.

Very nice hotel and convenient. The front. Desk staff was very nice and helpful. And the staff at the breakfast room was exceptionally friendly and attentive. They really made us feel welcome like no other hotel!

When one of my two reservations didn’t show up properly, George went above and beyond to resolve the issue efficiently and with a great attitude. He was professional, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout the process. What really stood out was that George remembered me when I walked in again later, a small but thoughtful detail that made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. He also introduced me to the Hyatt rewards program with an excellent and well-explained upsell that made joining an easy decision. The location of the hotel is unbeatable, just a short distance from Universal Studios, which made our trip incredibly convenient. The free breakfast was also a highlight. Overall, this was a smooth, enjoyable stay made even better by great staff and service. Thank you again to George for turning a potential hassle into a positive experience!

I have never stated at a hotel that doesn’t do house keeping. My wife and I stayed for 5 days a we never saw house cleaning. It wasn’t until we left the hotel did we see house cleaning. Discussed with this lack of service. We threw out our own trash. We asked the front desk when we could get the room refreshed and we were told 3 days. We had to a lower floor to find a house cleaning cart to get towels and more tissues. The room definitely had a smoker in the room and the smell was pronounced. The desk said they had the rugs washed but that never fixed the smell. Breakfast shut down early and they ran out of utensils for breakfast every morning. The coffee mugs always had rings or food particles in the mugs. This Hyatt was a train reck! I would never stay here again. Staff at the front desk is always to busy having personal conversations than paying attention to it’s customers. What is going on with Wyatt?

I had to wait over two hours to get my room, room was not ready.

We wanted to check out early, no one was at the front desk for over 20 minutes. Other staff refused to help or go find front desk clerk. Call the front dealing thinking someone would answer. It rang for 17 minutes. No one answered before I hung up.

Per property ad they offer early-check in but not what I personally experienced.Wearrived at 6:45 am and was hoping to check in-early. I was initially assisted by Juan,but can’t check us in due to no available room and advised to check back at 10am but he left. I then tried to check-in at 10am as advised to another front desk staffJonathan and was told that there’s still no room he said I will get a txt as soon as it’s avail since guests are still checking out and housekeeping are still in the process of getting the room ready. As I wait patiently in the lobby, I noticed that there are several big groupguests checking-in and getting their rooms while me,still waiting. I approached Jonathan at 11am and 30 min thereafter trying to check in and get a room, he’s only response”the hotel is fully committed last night from its guest and no rooms available”. Really! I am also a hotel guest who fully paid my room reservation in advanced trying to check-in, aren’t the hotel supposed to be fully committed to me as their a guest? Plus, I’ve seen guest just arrived and they have rooms available for them. After several attempts (5x) at least I finally got the Mgr.on Duty Ryan’s attention to assist me since he noticed I am really getting frustrated with this non sense, no customer service skill staff. Finally,after 5hrs.waiting I was able to check-in.These hotel staff has very poor customer service skill.I will never come back nor recommend this particular property👎avoid inconvenience.

Great location, outlet stores and souvenir shops at walking distance. Transportation to Universal was crowded but you can either walk 20 minutes or take an uber for less than $10.

Sausage or ham every day but no bacon offered, Hyatt place right next door did though. Coffee could’ve been better. Please note that the beds while comfy are plush which was not good for my back, I prefer firmer beds. I could not talk more highly of the staff. Every staff member I spoke to or encountered was so hospitable and welcoming with smiles on their faces.

Liked its proximity to Universal Studios.

Convenient to park

It’s an ok property,breakfast was horrible and the distance to the park is walkable but very uncomfortable because you have to cross mains street with lots of traffic.Very pricey for what they offer.Shuttle is for reservations and limited hours of operation.

It was nice to stay but, there’s limited shuttle service scheduled.

Walkable to Universal. Shuttles nice, but didn't run often or early enough. One time posted was incorrect. Excellent breakfast. Relaxing pool and lounge area.

Hotel was clean, breakfast was great, only complaint we have was the hallways and elevator was hot and the room AC did not get below 69. Also you have to reserve the shuttles to Universal 24 hours beforehand and we kept getting put on standby since the shuttle picks up at 4 hotels. They only run the shuttle 4 times in morning and 4 times at night so we had to uber if we wanted to return in middle of day.

Wonderful place… nice clean and great breakfast. However you have to pay parking.

Very happy with our stay! Had great location within walking and driving distance to Universal studios. Had shuttle to and from the park that picked up at the hotel. Very good service all the staff were friendly and worked hard to accommodate early check in. Had a nice bar area with food and drinks in the evening. Also had very good continental breakfast huge selection best one I’ve had from hotel! Very good selection, clean, constantly stocked with more in the morning. They also had market in the lobby and computer we were able to use for free and printer to print tickets off of. The room was very large had small kitchenette in it, couch, had tv on both living room and bedroom side. Very happy with our stay!

Overall the place is super nice and the staff are super friendly! The only thing I didn't like was there isn't a hot tub and their pizza is over priced. Also, the eggs are disgusting.
