We were not aware that the property was under renovations. If you can get passed the rundown facade, the interior is as advertised. The cons: uncomfortable bed and pillows, bedsheets were not soft, breakfast from 8am-9am. Staff was extremely nice, introduced a lot of places to visit. Beautiful room and we felt like living in a heritage. If there was a lift, it would be easier for carry our luggage upstairs.

We were on the 3rd floor in the Louis room. The stairs would be an issue for someone with mobility issues. There is a dormer in the room, which has to be avoided to enter the main part of the room. We were welcomed and provided and all the information we required about the facilities. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with a hot option, fruit, cereal, etc. Everyone eats family style at a single table, which was very nice meeting the other guests. Many restaurants within easy walking distance (10 minutes) and the water front. Enjoyed our stay.

Prince Inn had a good location, within walking distance to downtown restaurants and shopping. Easy parking in the rear. It's nice historic feel inn and the service was very good and friendly. Breakfast was very good with a hot food prepared for you, which changes daily (pancakes, omellete). We stayed for two nights visiting Charlottetown and would stay here again next time.

Absolutely loved this inn. Our room was quaint and had everything we needed. The breakfast was amazing. Staff were wonderful. Free parking in the back. There is a back terrace with one table but no umbrella so very hot in July. We travel extensively and this is one of my faves. So clean and you can tell it is loved. Would stay there again.

The house is stately and in great condition. My room was clean and the bed exceptionally comfortable . The property manager was helpful from beginning to end which was a definite plus. Breakfast was on par with what is typically found at B&B’s and was substantial enough to allow for a good start to the day. I would recommend The Prince Inn without hesitation

What a beautiful place! A historic property that has been lovingly restored with many period pieces. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the rain head shower with great water pressure. Lovely neighborhood, an easy walk to great restaurants, shops and historic places of interest. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I phoned ahead and spoke to the owner prior to booking. I needed to know if the beds were firm as my wife had had back surgery and a soft bed without support leaves her in terrible pain. The owner assured me the beds were firm and this would not be a problem. Lo and behold upon our arrival the bed was soft as a marshmellow. Everything else was booked up so we had no choice but to stay. My wife ended up spending the majority of the night pacing around the room or trying deperately to get herself comfortable somehow. Neither of us got more than an hour's sleep. When i called to ask about the bed, it was not a trivial question. It seems as though the owner just told me what i needed to hear in order to secure our booking. There is no world in which a bed with a 6 inch thick soft pillow top could be considered firm. Our stay here was the first of our 10 nights in PEI and Now my wife's back pain is flared up to the point where she cannot do any of the activities we were looking forward to this week and our whole vacation is affected.

3rd floor room (Felipe) a little small, with angled ceiling ... I'm fairly tall so was leery of bumping my head (I didn't though). Lovely staff, beautiful building, clean, nice breakfast. Would recommend, 4.5/5.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful B&B. The host was incredibly welcoming and respectful, always attentive to our needs. She gave us excellent recommendations to make the most of our trip and prepared delicious homemade breakfasts every morning. We loved the "period" feel of the property. A great deal of attention was given to making us feel as though we had stepped back in time but still had all the modern conveniences. The staff was fabulous and the breakfasts great. We really loved the buttertarts- dessert after breakfast.

Beautiful historic home. Extremely helpful staff/owners and breakfast options with eggs or sausages made to order. Ordered eggs over easy—perfect. Not the typical scrambled eggs offered by most places.

The charming Prince Inn is meticulously cared for by the resident innkeepers. Filled with antiques and photos of old Charlottetown, comfortable beds and a great breakfast. It is in a great location, easily walkable to the harbour and many of the great Charlottetown restaurants in the area. Breakfast was fantastic - everything you could want, even made-to-preference eggs but only available between 8 - 9 am. So if you snooze, you lose.

Beautiful BNB! Perfect location within walking distance of so many restaurants and shops. Our host was so gracious, and we loved the little sitting room in our suite, as well as the modern bathroom. My husband would say that the decor and furnishings were a bit over the top, but I thought they were fun! The breakfast was plentiful and good, but no special dishes as you often find at BNBs.

The room was small but clean with very nice amenities in the bathroom. The host is nice and gave us a plethora of information about the island. We were unimpressed with the breakfast - she offered to make eggs and did one for each the first day. If you didn't want eggs, too bad.... there was nothing else offered. In addition there was some sliced yellow cheese and a few pieces of cold cuts. The cream cheese was in a large container with every guest sharing it...No plain yogurt, but fruits offered were good.

The accommodation is great! Located right downtown with on-site parking. Very convenient... walk anywhere you need to go. The one drawback is that they pinched pennies on the breakfast food. Cheap bread, cereal and crappy orange juice. It was like you get at the Super 8. Would I stay again? yes,... but if the breakfast was still the same, I wouldn't enjoy the breakfast.

Such a beautiful house …we felt like living at Dowton Abbey castle… The staff so nice and kindness. The manager is exceptional. The breakfast is fantastic. Very well located, Wifi super. Parking perfect.

The family that runs this hotel does a great job making your stay pleasant! The hotel was easily walkable to the waterfront and accessible to all the activities and restaurants in Charlottetown.
