The property was very clean, the breakfast was great and the staff was super friendly and very helpful when asking for directions to city attractions. The pool was just that and not designed for swimming. That was a little disappointing in this hot weather. The rooms were very modern, with strong wifi and a tiny fridge, but they were very small in size. They did have free appetizers in the rooftop bar during the evening hours of 1800-1930. Overall, my stay here was very pleasant and I would recommend for a short trip.

The hotel itself if very nice, my room was clean and comfortable. The people working at the front desk are friendly and helpful. One issue during my stay is that the kitchen broke, so they didn’t have dinner or room service there. The main issue I had with this stay is the location. This hotels location in a bad part of Athens with high crime and drug use. It is not safe to walk there at night. Even walking around during the day to the city center felt uncomfortable and risky to me. So you will have to likely taxi everywhere. I came back to the hotel at 1:00am one night of my stay. The door to the hotel was locked, it is locked to keep people with ill intent out and I had to wait there for someone to open it. That should tell you enough about the location. If you are female travellers in a group or a solo female traveller, I do not recommend staying here. Stay closer to Plaka or research a better area.

Property is very close to public transport and bus tour stop is right outside which is useful. Pool is not a pool for swimming in, you can dip your feet at best. Breakfast options are ok, tables could be cleared quicker and food replenished more often. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel . Staff were very efficient in checking us in early . Really spacious room and bathroom . Tea/coffee making facilities , bathrobe and slippers provided . It was a very comfortable stay, the bed was really comfortable and the staff were professional, friendly and welcoming. Facilities are good with a swimming pool, restaurant and gym. The gym is basic but ok if you want to do basics. Location is good, I caught a train to the city centre and it was only 3 stops. I would stay at this hotel again.

wyndham residneces is not the same as wyndham grand even though they are pooled together on booking websites, and it certainly was not a 5 star hotel as advertised; 3.5 stars at the very best. The gym and pool are very very basic. the grand has much better facilities that you can use however. The area around the hotel is not great at all, lots of homeless and migrants, rents in the area are as low as 300 euros a month for an apartment so be careful if you wonder in the side streets. Definitely over priced for what it is, and not a 5 star hotel. On the morning of my departure there was a taxi/uber strike and they didn't even bother to tell me, i had to scramble and go with the metro, and very nearly missed my flight! I would advise, stay elsewher in Athens.

Duşlar çok kötü. Duşakabin yok ve duş sonrası banyo su içinde kalıyor. Otelde otopark görünmesine rağmen karşı otelin parkı kullanılıyor ve günlük 20€ para talep ediliyor. Otel resimlerinde havuz görünüyor fakat terasta 40 cm derinliği olan küvet kadar bir havuz var. Keainlikle kullanılamıyor. Wyndham Grand tercih esilmesinde fayda var.

Smutsigt rum när vi kom och det blev inte bättre under våra fyra nätter. Toalettpapper saknades 3 av fyra dagar. Det var helgdag under vår vistelse, kan försvara hotellet något med ledig personal. Närområdet vid hotellet är slitet och mycket trafik. Stort pluss för tunnelbanan precis vid hotellet. Även hållplats för Hop on bussarna direkt vid hotellet.

When we checked in, our room had not been swept or vacuumed and there was a used towel and bathrobe in the closet. The entrance to the hotel was also very bad, with open trash dumpsters right adjacent to the front door, making the entrance not look like a quality hotel at all. Lastly, we suspect the cleaning staff stole a newly purchased necklace from a small backpack that we left in the closet. Much of the furniture at the bar/breakfast level was in poor condition. On a positive note, there were good food choices at breakfast and the coffee and juices were very good.

Checkade nyligen ut från detta hotell efter, tack och lov, endast en natt. Vi ville bo i området då vi skulle vidare med buss därifrån dagen efter men såhär i efterhand borde vi ha valt något mer centralt och trevligare område. Personalen i receptionen var alla mycket trevliga. Hela hotellet är slitet och smutsigt. Vårt rum var relativt stort och renbäddat men möblerna var dammiga, smutsigt golv med både grus, damm och hår lite överallt. Smulor på den stora sammetspallen. Speglarna var smutsiga, i kylskåpet låg tidigare gästers vattenflaskor kvar i frysfacket och det låg både smulor och hårstrån kvar i kylen. Inga balkongmöbler och utsikten var mot ett gäng fläktar och en husvägg. I badrummet fanns tandvårdskit för EN person. Av shampoo/duschcreme fanns ett par droppar kvar på botten och ur den stora regnduschen kom det vatten ur endast en tredjedel av alla hål. Terrassen med poolen är mysigt inredd men då poolen endast var öppen 10-18 hann vi inte utnyttja den. Frukosten var inte heller mycket att hurra för. Stort urval av olika saker att välja på men inget kändes nylagat eller fräscht förutom den nyss uppskurna frukten. Croissanter och olika bakverk måste ha legat där i flera dagar. Ingenting var uppmärkt så att man visste var det var. Och snälla, gör något åt den stora dundrande AC'n som gör att man knappt hör vad man säger. Vi bokade vistelsen genom hotels.com bara någon timme innan vi checkade in. Som VIP gäst ingick en flaska vin på rummet, vi fick en flaska vatten(?)

Maybe I was unlucky but I got a tiny room that stank of mothballs. It was missing the coffee machine and was generally pokey and unloved. My colleagues rooms were nicer…obviously. Front desk staff were nice enough but I think they know “it is what it is”. Also. It’s about a 30 minute walk to the Plaka area. Wouldn’t be my choice if location again…generally covered in grime and graffiti, but alas, this is an Athens problem I think… Didn’t try the breakfast or other amenities. So the golden rule is: check you room and if it’s tatty, pokey and stinky, go right back down to reception and get another one. Lesson learned.

The room adjacent to ours had several women staying in it. They came into the room at 2:30am talking very loudly and slamming doors and laughing. After about 30 minutes of enduring this I called the front desk. They called the room and spoke to someone however the noise continued for another 30 minutes. Very poor sound insulation.

Very minimal service with slow front fest staff who made me almost miss my flight because they lied about having called a cab for me. I realized they had called their friend instead of a real cab (so nepotic). Only to realize that the friend could only take cash and I could not pay by card. So I was forced to get a new taxi after 25 minutes of waiting. So unprofessional staff

Fantastic front-desk staff, who were very helpful in accommodating an early check-in for us as our flight landed at some ungodly hour. Room was clean and large. The only complaint is with the bellman in the lobby; who was aggressive, condescending, and rude. Walking around the lobby as though he owned the joint, grabbing bags out of hands and at one point telling me to "hurry up" and sighing loudly--very dramatic for a grown man. His colleagues looked mortified by his behaviour.

The hotel had a strong, unpleasant smell throughout. I was shown several rooms, and all of them looked like old hospital wards – outdated and unwelcoming. The electricity kept cutting out multiple times. The reception staff were rude and completely unhelpful. I ended up having to rush out and book another hotel. The location was also very noisy and far from anything convenient. When I expressed my concerns, I was simply told to leave – which I did.

The hotel is nicely located. Close to a metro station with good connections to Syntagma and Monastiraki squares. Room are spacious and comfortable and the staff is friendly and extremely helpful. However, breakfast is very basic. The variety is poor and they do not seem to refill trays or gastronomes if they are empty. In addition the swimming pool is tiny and not so clean.
