Excellent location for the theatres, dining, pubs etc. Staff were really welcoming, nice room, great breakfast, but the real icing on the cake was the way our dog was treated -0 hadn't intended to bring him, had to ring at the last moment to arrange for him to come with us. There's a surcharge of £25, pretty much expected, but rather than this purely being a fee to cover nominal extra cleaning like most places which claim to be 'dog friendly', at this Hotel di Vin he was made a fuss of by the reception staff, and in the room was an appropriately sized bed for him, two bowls on a mat ready for food and water and a 'welcome pack' with treats, a tennis ball and a couple of poo bags - really lovely touch and made it clear he was genuinely welcome. Will stay again!

We enjoyed our stay @Hotel du vin 👍 Location was perfect for a first time stay in Stratford upon Avon. It was very central and an easy walk into town centre where we planned our sightseeing. Facilities at hotel were great. Worth downloading the Ring-go parking app as bedroom overlooking car park and in close proximity. We didn’t use the car for the duration of our 2 night stay. Staff were excellent and happy to help - including assisting my sister with breakfast options to take back to room when I was unfortunately not feeling well on morning of departure. We will definitely consider a return to hotel for a future visit as we missed out on a couple of historical landmarks!!

The room was smart and stylish and a comfortable temperature for sleeping. We were able to leave our bags before and after check-in while we looked around the town. The only downside was parking, there was no space in the adjacent car park so we had to park 10 minutes walk away. We would recommend Hotel du Vin and would be glad to visit again.

Lovely hotel in a great location, easy walk to the town. We reserved one of the hotels 5 parking spaces £15. Same price as the car park behind the hotel, though. Room (deluxe balcony) on the first floor, dog friendly, very clean, great size and huge comfortable bed. Nicely decorated. Fab shower, lovely amenities in the bathroom, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle and a great selection of teas and coffees. There was a mini fridge in the wardrobe and a safe. Bathrobes and slippers too! Nice size balcony overlooking the patio by the bar/restaurant of the hotel. Be wary if you have a small dog as the dividing fences between the balconies are not fully to the floor, so not small dog-proof! Large bed and water bowl provided too, in the room for the dog. Friendly helpful staff. Would thoroughly recommend!

The hotel was generally very good, did have a problem with the air con, only coming on occasionally. And parking was expensive. I used NCP half the price and only 100 mtrs away. Staff very helpful and friendly. Special mention for Mary in the dining room. Always welcoming, friendly and attentative.

The Taitinger room was up 2 flights of stairs and in a very old part of the hotel. It was renovated but there was mold smell. We had to stay in that room because there were no other rooms available. We had booked a suite but it didn’t specify where it was in the hotel. I ended with breathing problems and wheezing. The next day hotel switched us to a newer part of the hotel where there was no smell of mould.

Just two nights stay. We had room only as there are so many very good eateries within a 10 minute walk. An NCP car park is in the street just opposite the hotel - not cheap but very convenient. The HdV itself is fantastically clean, well maintained and quiet and it was a pleasure staying there

Our room had unpleasant smell and the sink in the bathroom was blocked. We reported that but no action was taken and we were not offered a different room. A very limited choice of food for breakfast, no plain yogurt or cheese, undercooked croissants and green bananas. Staff generally cold and uninterested. After reading reviews our expectations were high. Won’t be staying there again.

Spotless. Beautiful rooms, welcoming staff. Good value for money, particularly considering the alternatives in Stratford-upon-Avon. Naming the rooms after wine producers, instead of numbers, it is a nice touch given the name of the hotel. Highly recommended.

Great location for exploring the town, very modern hotel. Didnt have food at the hotel as it was very expensive, restaurant menu looked ok but chose to eat out in the town. Room was nice but mattress on bed very soft, not so good for guest with back problems! Our room was located on the front side of the hotel which was quite noisy in the morning from main road and at night a bar adjacent played very load music until midnight.

Room was brilliant, bar was great, service was largely excellent. Breakfast was the only thing that let it down - service was poor (and somewhat rude) and the quality of the food (both hot and continental buffet) didn’t match the price. This is the third Hotel Du Vin I’ve stayed in around the country, and the first where I’ve left the breakfast disappointed. Would also advise people to avoid visiting Stratford during the Mop Fair, unless having a fun fair directly outside the hotel is what you want.

Fantastic location. Beautifully renovated hotel. We upgraded to a deluxe room with balcony which was very spacious. Bed was so comfortable (had a great sleep). Great cooked breakfast.

The room was very nice. The major downside for us related to the air conditioning. While it was a very warm three days, it wasn’t insanely warm however the room air conditioning was unable to keep the room cool and the fan barely worked at all. This led to three sleepless nights. The windows didn’t provide much ventilation because they were small. As the planet warms, this will be a major downside for this hotel.

While it was a very warm three days, it wasn’t insanely warm however the room air conditioning was unable to keep the room cool and the fan barely worked at all. This led to three sleepless nights. The windows didn’t provide much ventilation because they were small. As the planet warms, this will be a major downside for this hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Signature Suite, which was incredibly spacious and tranquil. The photos online don’t quite capture just how roomy the suite truly is. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience

Lovely looking hotel, with 5 car parking spaces outside the front which you can reserve with reception. There is a car park to the back of this hotel which is very handy. We stayed on the 1st floor in the Wairau River room. The bed was very comfortable, no complaints. The bathroom very clean. The room however was so hot! The aircon would not go below 19 degrees and the windows would not stay open. The room Was also above the hotel bar.. on the Sunday night and Monday night the music blared until gone half 11 on Sunday evening and quarter to midnight on Monday night. We had to go downstairs and ask them to turn the music off. The bar was empty. The member of staff stated how nobody had been in the bar since 10pm ?? It was like being above a night club so very little sleep had. Would not stay again for this reason.

We were a little disappointed to be given an accessible room on this occasion without being informed either prior to arrival or while checking in. While the facilities were excellent for someone requiring this type of room, for us it didn’t work. There was only one bedside table, the TV was at a far end of the room and the screen was not easy to see from the bed. The bathroom was a wet room with lots of support bars around the toilet and shower and was a little disappointing having had beautiful bathrooms in Hotel du Vin establishments before. I have to stress that this room is very fit for purpose for someone with extra needs but not for us.
We were a little disappointed to be given an accessible room on this occasion without being informed either prior to arrival or while checking in. While the facilities were excellent for someone requiring this type of room, for us it didn’t work. There was only one bedside table, the TV was at a far end of the room and the screen was not easy to see from the bed. The bathroom was a wet room with lots of support bars around the toilet and shower and was a little disappointing having had beautiful bathrooms in Hotel du Vin establishments before. I have to stress that this room is very fit for purpose for someone with extra needs but not for us.

Hotel is in a great location just a 10 min walk to Sheep Street and most restaurants and shops. A 15 min walk to the RSC. There is an NCP car park just across the road to the hotel. Rooms and public areas are spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard. We have been regular guests at this hotel since it's opening and have sadly noticed a few changes, namely they no longer provide a discount towards the NCP parking and the price of the breakfast is now £22 each which no longer represents good value for money for us. There is one member of staff in the restaurant, a lady called Mary, who deserves to be praised. She is fantastic at her job, clearly cares about the guests and always has a smile on her face. Sadly, she was not on duty today and there was a noticeable drop in standards. The restaurant staff that were on duty seemed uninterested and unwelcoming by comparison. The hotel has a lovely bar but, on more than one occasion, we've walked out and gone elsewhere for a pre-show tipple as the bar staff are no where to be seen. Overall though, the hotel is very convenient and we will return but just eat and drink at the may bars and restaurants that Stratford has to offer.

This is such a fantastic hotel. The property is very nice - clean, quiet, convenient. What sets it apart however is the fantastic staff. The women at the reception when we arrived was incredibly helpful. She waited outside in the rain to help with a parking spot. The included breakfast was delicious. Miranda went out of her way to prepare a breakfast to bring up to my wife who was running a bit behind schedule. We were able to walk to all of the important areas within the city. Great choice overall.

The service was a bit disappoiunting. Excellent check in and pleased they confirmned that I had paid in advance. I was therefore a bit disappointed when they sought to charge me twice on my check out. Worth keeping your details handy. As a vegan there is only one main meal on room service, which I was keen to have - when you book a nice hotel you want to stay there - and so dissapoiunted that they dind't have it or think to try and offer something lese. A vegan burger cannot be that hard. But it also had the feel of being short staffed in the bar / restaurant, which might be part of it. Shame as I have stayed here before and liked it.

This was our second stay at this property and we are fans. It’s a great location for visiting Stratford-Upon-Avon, the theaters there, and the historical sites. The staff is outstanding - they have helped us book car service when we’ve needed it and answer oddball questions when we have those. They are very concerned with food allergies at the restaurant and you may even be asked about those allergies multiple times, it’s kind of sweet. We really like their breakfasts and had dinner there this time too because we got in rather late the first night. The hotel is just 5 or 6 blocks from the Avon and the RSC, so a fairly easy walk even when you have walking issues like I do, so consider that if you want to enjoy the town, but Uber is prevalent and taxis are also easy to book in advance.

We have stayed at this hotel for multiple visits and never have we been able to reserve parking! Fortunately there is car park behind the hotel. However at check in I mentioned this and it appears they only offer the convenient parking to people who book direct-so they need to change this listing!! The lady checking me in, said it was cheaper to park where I did, then she asked if I wanted eco service so they don't make/clean the room on the 2nd day, which I said yes to, she then said I get a feee drink which I declined. Due to the parking issue we decided to eat outside the hotel and the lady informed me that if I wanted breakfast it was "cheaper" to book at the desk! What was it with the woman? If I can afford to stay 2 nights I can afford food! She either needs to be retrained or find a job outside of the hospitality industry! Room was comfortable, apart from the noisy guests above and below on both nights. We will NOT be returning!

Hotel du Vin is a ten minute easy walk from Shakespeare birthplace and within an easy walk to Holy Trinity Church where he was baptized and buried. Their breakfast menu includes the best bitter orange marmalade so have ever tasted! The hotel has a lift to the upper floors. which made it easy for me as I use a cane.

The room was smart and stylish and a comfortable temperature for sleeping. We were able to leave our bags before and after check-in while we looked around the town. The only downside was parking, there was no space in the adjacent car park so we had to park 10 minutes walk away. We would recommend Hotel du Vin and would be glad to visit again.

Hotel, food and staff were excellent. We booked three nights half board while the food was of a high quality the half board menu was very limited and the same for the whole of our stay and also not all of the items, one being fish, the other chicken, then broccoli dish and lastly salad were available limiting the menu even more. If I had realised this I would not have booked the half board option.

Perfectly placed in Stratford and parking available for a reasonable cost. Very comfortable room. Very friendly staff. The service Sat evening in the bar it was easy to see the staff were stretched and although they were friendly and attentive it felt a bit stressful for them. I chose a crab and fennel salad starter and treated myself to a non alcoholic cocktail for a tenner - and it was a bit disappointing. The salad was sparse and it was a case of spot the crab & fennel and my mocktail was really very tasteless sadly. My husband meanwhile had delicious prawns and perfect chips.

Super spacious room! Excellent stay, very comfortable. Staff were great, breakfasts were excellent with a lot of choices. Room interiors are well designed. Great location, within walking distance of all Shakespearean historic sites, the UK's largest butterfly farm, and Stratford-Upon-Avon train station. I'd consider a future stay here, and would recommend the hotel to others.

Our room had unpleasant smell and the sink in the bathroom was blocked. We reported that but no action was taken and we were not offered a different room. A very limited choice of food for breakfast, no plain yogurt or cheese, undercooked croissants and green bananas. Staff generally cold and uninterested. After reading reviews our expectations were high. Won’t be staying there again.

Wonderful hotel, very modern and perfectly located in the city centre a few minutes walk to the river. The breakfast was amazing, would highly recommend the avo and toast with poached eggs! The hotel bar was great and the gentleman serving us was very knowledgeable...he made us a coffer liquor which I would love to replicate
