Free parking on site . Food excellent value and quality. Rooms refurbished since we used the place last year so all looking fresh and lovely. It's a no frill hotel but the staff and service are 5 star. Always use this place when we go to Midlands!

Good inn. Great pub and beer garden, but room had some cleanliness issues, uncomfortable beds that felt close to collapsing and a damp smell. It was for one night, cheap and location was perfect, so can’t complain too much.

Convenient location for our purposes. Staff welcoming and efficient. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. A comfy & quiet night's sleep! Wide range of menu choice for breakfast & dinner. The drinks & meals were very good value and food tasty. Use of pool table & darts board was a bonus.

A very clean room and excellent comfy bed. Excellent shower with complimentary toiletries. Always love being able to make morning tea with facilities in the room. Thank you. Friendly, helpful staff and well cooked breakfast. It was unusually hot weather, so a fan or air conditioning could have helped overnight.

Ground floor room. Disturbed by adults and young people presumably leaving the bar late in the evening. No air conditioning meant very hot room unless window to car park left open. Bar tables sticky, needing a proper clean.

Ideal place to stay. Best of the lot on this 28 day trip. This is the role model of what people want in a place to stay. Also, has a: restaurant & bar. Check-in was a little odd, had to walk into the bar & wait a bit. Stayed in room #20 (I think, 1st door to the right upstairs). 3 nights in late-March 2025. Negatives: No USB power. Positives: Massive amount of free parking onsite. Room was super clean & quiet. Room was completely updated throughout. Roomy space with thoughtful design such as efficient space to lay two carry-on suitcases open, stacked. Water was hot. Sheets & towels were super clean. Very good lighting. Very good natural light. Digital controlled heat. Even the provided shampoos & soap were higher quality. Silverware/ceramics were clean & spotless. Kettle was clean. Wi-fi connected once and worked good throughout. Lot's of electrical outlets! Adjustable hand held shower head is always better than a fixed head.

Was an overnight stay to drive thru the Cotswolds. Very helpful hosts. Room was small but good size for a night. Bar was very busy during dinner (good sign), variety of meals, and plenty of parking. Would stay again.

Always difficult booking a late minute room in Gold Cup week, so ended up here. The room was clean and quiet, the tv remote didn’t work which wasn’t a problem, but the smell from the drains in the bathroom was awful. It has been going on for some time as there were a couple of completely shrivelled gel air fresheners next to the WC

My room was no 5 on the ground floor,it was adequate but the bathroom entrance was very narrow the mirror over the basin was set very low and I had to stoop too to see myself to shave .the shower was very good and with plenty of hot water. The worst thing about the room was the carpet it was stained in multiple places and I didn’t feel like I wanted to take my shoes off,it as a good job I took some slippers.this s not acceptable and along with the room that needed a coat of paint I wasn’t impressed.next time I will find a premier Inn to stay at

Terrible, had to pick star for review but should be 0 stars, checked in stayed for about 30minutes, bedroom stunk of damp and mould to the point you couldn't breathe properly, room dirty, bed felt like it would collapse at any moment, shower stained, dusty room , should not be allowed to offer this accommodation , had to book alternative accommodation, avoid this place

Check in was quick and straightforward however don’t stay here on a Saturday night if you are looking for sleep! Live band playing which is great but not when your room is right next to the bar and you need to get some sleep. The toilet seat was broken, lifted the lid and there is was in my hand and also the silver bit of the shower plug wasn’t attached. Struggled to get parked. On the plus side the room was clean could use an update but it was clean. I would have raised my concerns on check out but there was nobody around. Overall very disappointing due to lack of sleep

The Alcester Inn was a good price, in a good position for anyone travelling in thus area. Alcester is a very pretty village with far more shops than I expected. The only thing negative was our ground floor window opened onto the beer garden and only had one blockout blind not a privacy curtain, so it felt wxposed when pepple were in the garden. Itherwise it was great.

Nice friendly staff on arrival. Room was spacious with enough storage and looked pleasant. However, there was staining on the carpet and a crack in the shower tray - these didn't impact on my stay overall but just left me feeling like the room was a little bit shabby and could have done with a bit of a refurb. It would have been really useful to have the wifi code available in the room. Some teaspoons and a few more coathangers would have been appreciated aswell. A comfortable night's sleep. I was slightly worried it would be noisy due to it being a pub but I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. Overall, a nice place to stay.

Good price , the room was on the small side and the entrance on the en suite was very tight you had to squeeze passed the door handle and wash basin at the same time , door would be better opening outward. Stains on the carpet . Just needs a good freshen up

I had a comfortable stay at the Inn. Despite music in the bar, the room was quiet as right at the opposite end of the building. The ground floor windows should be frosted as they face the car park and requires one to leave the blinds down at all times. The carpets could be vacuumed a bit more thoroughly. But overall it was clean and comfortable.

Extremely friendly staff. Hayley was 6 Always smiling. Very comfortably and clean. Food was first class and the locals were very welcoming. Excellent central position for Oxford , Stratford and all surrounding historical towns. Excellent value for .money. will be booking again to continue our tour of the Cotswold.

Check in was quick and straightforward however don’t stay here on a Saturday night if you are looking for sleep! Live band playing which is great but not when your room is right next to the bar and you need to get some sleep. The toilet seat was broken, lifted the lid and there is was in my hand and also the silver bit of the shower plug wasn’t attached. Struggled to get parked. On the plus side the room was clean could use an update but it was clean. I would have raised my concerns on check out but there was nobody around. Overall very disappointing due to lack of sleep

To start, i call hotel for directions as my satnav took me eswhere. 2 streets away.the receptionist did not help and simply hung up. Got there eventually. I was asked for a photo ID. Happy to show but was not happy to have a photocopy of it taken. As well as my car reg. On top of my card details and my address, obviously. Its for security reasons, they said. Its a pub, not a JFK airport. I was not happy to have THAT much personal info recorded as i already had to deal with a recent breach of my personal sata, so this level of security was excessive. I am a single woman, 58, wasnt drunk or disorderly, however, still potentially posssed a security risk that they had to go all the way to make sure i wont be stealing towles. My room was overlooking the beer garden. Ground floor. I asked to vhange my room as i had been on the road for some 10 hours and needed rest. It was refused, fully booked, apparently. 7 cars outside and 34 rooms. It was noisy with drinkers outside till they closed. Had to keep qindows shut too in 30C heat, no air-conditioning. Room reasonable enough if not for that, but shower had mould and the plug hadnt been cleaned for a while. Mouldy all over

Extremely friendly staff. Hayley was 6 Always smiling. Very comfortably and clean. Food was first class and the locals were very welcoming. Excellent central position for Oxford , Stratford and all surrounding historical towns. Excellent value for .money. will be booking again to continue our tour of the Cotswold.

Rooms are functional but decent and keenly-priced. Breakfast is available but I didn't stay for that. My tip - Tuesday nights the local Indian offers a very reasonably priced "choose what you want" deal ...

The style is not fancy, But it has everything needed in a hotel room: comfortable bed; excellent shower; excellent wi fi; good sized room; desk; mirrors; good inexpensive breakfast; friendly and helpful staff. If you have an electric car, a very good fast charging station to charge your car overnight is just a 10 minute walk away. And you get all this at a very reasonable price.

Not much curb appeal but the beds and room were comfortable. The only thing that was a bit of an issue was the heat and lack of adequate ventilation or air conditioning. Most of the year that wouldn't be a problem, though. Food for dinner and breakfast was good and very affordable. Alcester is also a lovely town to explore.

Free parking on site . Food excellent value and quality. Rooms refurbished since we used the place last year so all looking fresh and lovely. It's a no frill hotel but the staff and service are 5 star. Always use this place when we go to Midlands!

A good budget option in a nice location. A short walk to the pretty centre of Alcester, and right next to a park. The building is ugly but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is good basic stuff and there are plenty of vegetarian and some vegan options. No major complaints just a few minor niggles. It suited our needs to be in the area without spending a fortune.

Basic accommodation at a good price. Adequate & met our needs. A good vacuum of the room & a scrub of the bathroom wouldn’t have gone a miss. Disappointing that breakfast is only served from 8am, as we had to be on the road for 8am.

Was an overnight stay to drive thru the Cotswolds. Very helpful hosts. Room was small but good size for a night. Bar was very busy during dinner (good sign), variety of meals, and plenty of parking. Would stay again.

A budget hotel but clean and comfortable and it was ideal for our overnight stay. The twin bedroom was a reasonable size and the bathroom was large with a walk in shower. There was a good choice of reasonably priced well cooked food for evening meal and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Slight issue was the rather tired flooring in the bedroom and bathroom and minor maintenance problems. However we thought it was value for money and would stay again en route to our holiday destinations.

Overall we were really happy with the stay the room and hotel was good value for money and food was reasonably priced. It was close to the center of the town where there was a few shops if you wanted or needed anything. Also plenty of parking onsite at no extra cost. The only bad thing about the stay was having members of staff knocking on the door within a short period of time to remind us of the checkout time once was enough as we didn’t need to be reminded two or three times. Staff were polite and happy to help. If I needed a room in the area again I would be happy to stop this hotel again.

Lovely staff. Food a nd drinkwas cheap but good. Pub had a good atmosphere. Unfortunately the room was ridiculously hot with no fan and had a musty smell. The room was tired and dirty. We put our bags in the cubby hole and they came out covered with dust and the sheets whilst clean had mould marks on them. Same with the bathroom, clean but mould marks and I think the toilet leaked.
