The only thing that could be approved upon is a bigger swimming pool. I enjoyed our stay very much. Staff was very friendly. There were deer behind the hotel and it made it feel a little more like home.

There is a large free parking lot. The hotel is within a mile or two of most shopping, and just a few miles from the university. The bed was fairly comfortable, but it was hard to regulate the temperature of the room even though the thermostat was straightforward to operate. I appreciated the eco friendliness and the gluten free breakfast options. We didn’t try the pool or fitness area but they looked nice.

This hotel is very close to a large shopping mall and a nearby shopping plaza. Dining options are plentiful. Having said that, the hotel itself is in a quiet setting. It appears to be a very new building. Everything was well maintained. The complementary breakfast was excellent.

Upon arrival, the smell of mildew was overwhelming. Also the young lady checking people in was very rude and unprofessional. She let the phone ring the entire time she was checking me in, left the counter to have a discussion with another employee a couple times, and was very unkept. (Very poor personal hygiene). I was put on the first floor by the lobby which was very noisy. I understand I was a single visitor, but the amount of foot traffic and people in the lobby, the noise was unacceptable. The amenities were atrocious. The TV did not work properly. There was no guide available, WiFi was not working a majority of the time, and I was not able to stream through the TV. Thankfully I had a laptop to stream tv through. This will be a facility that I will not return to when I come back to Coralville to visit my family.

We loved the quiet location & it's convenience to all in Coralville. The checkin was effortless & staff very accomodating. The room was nicely arranged. The bed clean & comfortable. The bathroom was lovely until i noticed the shower. It had buildup all around corners & outside of shower. Housekeeping needs to use limescale remover to make sparkle. Plus the exterior shower door handle needs repair with an allen wrench. The ice machine area needs limescale remover too. Obviously hard water maybe install softner!!

We booked it months ahead as Iowa City always sells out for home Iowa games. We got back to room after the 2nd coldest game ever at Kinnick Stadium freezing to a room that was 50 degrees and heater didn’t work. There were no other rooms available at hotel or in town so we were stuck. Management brought up a little electric heater. Was very rushed offered a second portable one if it didn’t warm up fast. Offered no discount. We needed a second one so I went down to desk to get. They gave me the second one but asked that if it got warm enough in the middle of the night to bring it back. Ummm, no, as I plan on sleeping through the night if possible. Not a great experience and as season ticket holders for years to Iowa games this hotel is off the list…despite being Marriott rewards members for a couple decades.

When I went to check in, I was given a room where the temp was 82, the air conditioner was broken. I asked for another room and was given another one with a broken air conditioner. He then let me know they were all broken but he had no idea how to cancel the room. I left and went to another hotel for the night

It is quiet, convenient for shopping and restaurants, and just a short drive to Iowa City for sporting events and medical appointments. The staff is friendly and go out of their way to make our stay the best it can be. This is our go-to hotel when we are in this area.

Check-in was slow, I almost put our bag in a puddle of water left at the desk by a pool goer. When telling the front desk about it after activating the bell to get somebody, they took off for a mop, leaving us standing. When they got back they realized we needed to check in and then yelled for a second person who was out of sight in the office to come help us. I found it irritating that a person chose to stay out of sight rather than help us! Other than that, the room was clean and comfortable.

The room was very clean and comfortable.. unfortunately there was a lack of staff., had to wait 10 minutes to check in as there was no one at the desk. In the morning the breakfast was fantastic. Not Your normal hotel breakfast.. unfortunately again, I need to get an extra face cloth and towel and was unable no one at the desk again.. went back to the room and called .. desk , manager and housekeeping with no answer.. so we had to make do.

Fairfield Inn and Suites in Coralville, IA was a very nice place to stay. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast service was good. The hotel was quiet and the 2nd night of our stay there was a college home football game and the hotel was full...still pretty quiet. Liam at the front desk was very helpful on check in and when we were leaving. We would definitely stay here again!

The woman who checked us in was rude - not saying hello or any basic information about the hotel that is typical for check in. A different woman checked us out and she was nice - thus the 3 star overall rating for the Staff section. The beds were comfy, and the area was nice and quiet.

We always stay here when traveling to the Iowa city. Stayed at another proper time and that was a mistake. This place is always clean, staff are friendly, area feels safe with shopping and food close by. Breakfast was amazing this time!!!! Soooo many options. They have a huge gym which we don’t use but looks really nice!

Property was loud from both internal and external noise. The location is ok. But it sits on a dead end so if you exit one place you have to perform a u turn and it isn’t marked. Breakfast was ok. The waffles were in plastic wrap inside a warmer. Yuck. The oatmeal with toppings was great but some fresh fruit besides apples would be desired.

Does the breakfast actually end at 9:00AM? Went down at 9:20AM and there wasn’t even a piece of bread to toast? Gentleman who checked us in said until 10:00AM like almost every other hotel on a weekend. The room also needs some very close attention, especially in the bathroom. It looked like someone either painted or did some ceiling repair and left marks all over the wall.
