We really enjoyed our stay at Hampton in Big Rapids. Very nice and clean, breakfast was great! I appreciated that breakfast ran later than other hotels I had stayed at and that we had time before checkout to use the pool. The kids loved it! Would definitely stay again.

Booked this hotel specifically for the pool (i have kids) there was a tiny pool and no hot tub. The next morning the pool was closed. The front desk staff was amazing and we were able to go to their sister hotel and swim, where they had a bigger pool and hot tub. Good ending to our stay.

Once there was about 5 other guests waiting, somebody popped out of the little office, which by the way, the door was open so Im sure he heard the students from a visiting hockey team. The room smelled of weed. The parking lot was full of snow & ice and not salted

Everything was wonderful except the pool was freezing. Our granddaughter was so excited to swim and she couldn’t because it was too cold. It would be nice to have assorted teas and liquid creamer in the room

Only thing we didn't like was we reserved a single King on the bottom floor and we ended up on the 4th floor with a queen we like that fact that they had coffee all day and night downstairs in the lobby

Hotel is definitely showing its age. Couldn’t really figure out how to work the thermostat. Plumbing and fixtures seemed like they weren’t professionally installed. Room did not look like it was cleaned thoroughly upon checking in. Found a dirty pair of socks from a previous guest.

I was in meetings all day and checked in at about 10PM. The room was clean but very warm, 75 to 80 degrees. I turned on the air conditioner to lower the temp to 70, and about 5 minutes in, the AC started to make a horrible noise that lasted for about 5 minutes. I waited a bit and this process continued about every 20 minutes, 15 minute of quiet and then 5 minutes of horrible rattling, I called the desk and was told they were sorry but the maintenance staff had gone home and that they were full. I had to sleep in a room that was about 80 degrees all night long, and all the hotel staff had to say was "We are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay."

The room was spacious and clean And the staff was friendly. My husband and i were traveling with our toddler and this room allowed plenty of space for him to explore. The breakfast was fine enough, though a few of the tables were a bit sticky. I will say though, the location of the hotel was great. It's right next to a grocery store, a gas station, and a few restaurants. It's in very close driving distance to a little bit of shopping as well

Stayed for one night. Staff was polite. Beware, Pool is only 4ft deep, which I dont think that's listed anywhere on the site. Buffet breakfast was basically over when we came down at 9am, though it says 6-10am. The room was fine but could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Location was convenient with Culver's & Ruby Tuesday nearby if you want a couple of quick eats with Meijer just a few steps away.

Had a wonderful stay. Staff was so friendly. Woke up and had breakfast. Waffle makers and eggs and sausage and potatoes. Good stay. Recommend taking pillows. The ones in the room a little flat but that’s my only complaint really. Nice location as well.

The room was comfortable and the bed and linens too. Nicely updated. Breakfast area didnt have enough seating so we had to eat in our room one morning. We requested when we booked that we have our familys additional room close or at least on the same floor which didnt happen. Disappointing. Otherwise the hotel is nice and would book a room there again.

Probably the best hotel in the area. Rooms are large, bed is comfy, and whole place is relatively quiet. The bathroom is the best bit, remodeled and with a huge shower instead of a tub. Breakfast is just OK (although the waffle machine is a nice touch).

The room was cleaned quickly and not thoroughly, I was looking forward to the hot breakfast was when we arrived (8:30am) many foods were unavailable and would not be restocked. No eggs or meat available, no milk for cereal. Was basically a continental breakfast at that point. Not worth the money.

Positive: The beds were comfortable and the location was convenient. Unfortunately, it ends there. It’s in dire need of a remodel as the toilet could only be flushed by pulling the chain inside the tank and the bathroom door knob was falling off. The staff couldn’t keep up with food prep, so my husband got a tablespoon of each hot food. Needed more staff to help.

It was okay stay.. Had to wait for check in. Breakfast staff left us feeling like we were an inconvenience. Out of everything and were closing breakfast early at 9:30 am on a sunday. The state of the breakfast area was less than clean.

The hotel is in great shape. The bedroom was great and the beds/pillows were super comfortable. The only drawback is the bathroom faucet is miserably designed and flows down very low into the center of the sink (terrible design for anyone wanting to brush their teeth while staying. Lol). Breakfast was good, tons of options and was available to 10am, which is nice compared to some other hotels. Checkout also was at noon, rather than 11 which I also appreciated.
