This was a great place to relax outside and in the lodge itself. Convenient to many other areas of interest. There was a small beach for swimming, a large yard to relax, and a beautiful vista. The food was excellent.

Old,rustic it had history 100 year old hotel. Not for handicap people. No elevator to second floor. It's not ADA compliant. Front steps were difficult. Had dining room and pub. Diner hours. No fridge in room. Bathroom was nice with shower.

The attached restaurant was excellent and clearly a favorite of people. Not many people staying in the hotel part so breakfast did not seem available. Shower is tight and the room is small but the bed was wonderful. The decor was lots of Adirondack features.

Lovely old lodge, top notch restaurant for dinner, great laid back Adirondack ambiance. Furnishings in common great room a bit worn, housekeeping a bit lax in common areas. Bed very comfortable, good night's sleep. If you need air conditioning on a warm night, this is not the place for you.

Event though it was an older building, the rooms were clean but needed ceiling repairs. No a/c but we were lucky the night was cool. My granddaughter was looking forward to go into the lake but the beach was not clean. There was goose poop all over. The chairs were filthy so we sat on a rock. The homemade ramp to the dock was just sitting on a rock which was dangerous. The front porch could have been a little cleaner and set up better. The food in the restaurant was excellent. One night stay was fine.

Wonderful stay with great service, food, and views! I arrived late (~8 PM), but the manager immediately came to assist with check-in and arrangements. I stayed in Standard Queen Room 17 for four nights—the room was lovely, and the attached bathroom was spacious and spotless. Portable heaters and fans were provided right away whenever requested. The food was delicious (there was quite a bit to choose from)—highly recommend the crispy chicken tenders and pasta! The dining/drawing area overlooks the lake beautifully. The bar downstairs was cozy and well-stocked, perfect for unwinding in the evening after a day of hiking. Complimentary water, coffee, and tea were available 24/7, and a shared microwave was provided for guests. The location is excellent—only about 10 minutes from Castle Rock Hill Trail (a moderate 2-mile hike with ~871 ft elevation gain) and close to the Adirondack Experience Museum. It’s around 1.5 hours to the High Peaks (Lake Placid, ADK Loj, Saranac Lake), but if you start early (~8 AM), you’ll have plenty of time to summit a peak and still explore Placid or Saranac afterward. Overall, the staff were professional, friendly, and attentive. I truly enjoyed my stay here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Room was basic with no extras but it was all we needed. Comfortable bed and pillows, nice shower. Full bar had signature drinks that were amazing. Guacamole was fresh and the homemade chips the best we ever had. Vegetarian dinner of strudel was delicious and unique. Fish meal was fresh and tasty. Dessert of fruit cobbler was generous and not too sweet and with blueberry ice cream!! Staff were friendly and efficient. The food was not cheap but the quality and great service were totally worth it to us!

This a classic old Adirondack hotel. It was very clean and quite comfortable even during subzero outdoor temperatures. I could not control my room temperature from my room and I missed a bathroom fan. None the less I was quite comfortable during my 2 night stay. The meals in the dining room were excellent.

I would not go back to this Lodge again. The heat was not regulated, I became unbareable hot during the night, my food was not hot, my dinner came cold after we had to wait for 45 minutes for the waitress to bring it to us, after we had asked for it twice. I did not feel that it was clean.

The property was very nice. The room we had over looked the lake and it was comfortable and clean. The restaurant was not open on Monday when we checked in. The only thing that was different was lots of time know one was at the front desk. Luckily we didn’t need anything. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back there.

We chose the lodge based on its location and easy access to the fabulous restaurant and it did not disappoint. However, the room was really not sound proof. We could hear every sounds from the bathroom next door and from the bickering couple across the hall. Small things could help improve the comfort of the room, a few hooks in the large bathroom to hang clothes and a second night table for example.

Disappointed that there was no A/C or elevator. Once we learned the building was 100 years old, we understood. The lounge area was comfy and porch views were pretty. A little on the pricey side for what we are used to. But the nostalgia was so quaint.

Great little place for lake access. The room was neat and spacious. I wish there was a mini fridge, and more space to keep/dry beach gear. It was nice to have a restaurant in the building, and hope they start opening for breakfast service.

Beautiful lodge with great views on the lake. The room was spacious with top of the line furniture and mattress. Bathroom was outdated, especially the shower. Our diner at the restaurant of the lodge was delicious and we enjoyed the covered back porch in the morning.

Manager Matt was very friendly and extremely helpful: he and his nephew bailed me out when my truck was trapped by a fallen tree blocking a gravel road. They showed up with a chain saw and cleared the road. Much obliged!

I would not go back to this Lodge again. The heat was not regulated, I became unbareable hot during the night, my food was not hot, my dinner came cold after we had to wait for 45 minutes for the waitress to bring it to us, after we had asked for it twice. I did not feel that it was clean.

The property was very nice. The room we had over looked the lake and it was comfortable and clean. The restaurant was not open on Monday when we checked in. The only thing that was different was lots of time know one was at the front desk. Luckily we didn’t need anything. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back there.

I stayed in Standard Queen Room 17 for four nights—the room was lovely, and the attached bathroom was spacious and spotless. Portable heaters and fans were provided right away whenever requested. The food was delicious (there was quite a bit to choose from)—highly recommend the crispy chicken tenders and pasta! The dining/drawing area overlooks the lake beautifully. The bar downstairs was cozy and well-stocked, perfect for unwinding in the evening after a day of hiking. Complimentary water, coffee, and tea were available 24/7, and a shared microwave was provided for guests. The location is excellent—only about 10 minutes from Castle Rock Hill Trail (a moderate 2-mile hike with ~871 ft elevation gain) and close to the Adirondack Experience Museum. It’s around 1.5 hours to the High Peaks (Lake Placid, ADK Loj, Saranac Lake), but if you start early (~8 AM), you’ll have plenty of time to summit a peak and still explore Placid or Saranac afterward. Overall, the staff were professional, friendly, and attentive. I truly enjoyed my stay here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We stayed here for 4 nights and found it to be a great place to stay! Very comfortable, excellent food and delicious wine. Pretty view of Long Lake and very convenient to the Blue Mountaon Lake museum. I would definitely stay here again.

The attached restaurant was excellent and clearly a favorite of people. Not many people staying in the hotel part so breakfast did not seem available. Shower is tight and the room is small but the bed was wonderful. The decor was lots of Adirondack features.

Great little place for lake access. The room was neat and spacious. I wish there was a mini fridge, and more space to keep/dry beach gear. It was nice to have a restaurant in the building, and hope they start opening for breakfast service.

Room was basic with no extras but it was all we needed. Comfortable bed and pillows, nice shower. Full bar had signature drinks that were amazing. Guacamole was fresh and the homemade chips the best we ever had. Vegetarian dinner of strudel was delicious and unique. Fish meal was fresh and tasty. Dessert of fruit cobbler was generous and not too sweet and with blueberry ice cream!! Staff were friendly and efficient. The food was not cheap but the quality and great service were totally worth it to us!
