The 100.00 pet charge non refundable is way to high limited tv the uncomfortable furniture very poor for the money

Firm comfortable bed, spacious, tv (cable only) on the small side. Most king rooms are on the first floor. The location is great, close to mill creek path and Main Street. Dog fee was $15 per night.

Very close to restaurants and stores. Needs more parking.

Excellent value for money! My ground floor King room was spacious and clean with lots of lighting, surfaces to put stuff on, and plugs for electronics, etc. There was a handy mini fridge and microwave. They’ve done a nice job updating an older property and even had a spot outside with water & hose where I was welcome to rinse off my car!

Perfect location to shopping and dining. Clean. Picnic area was non existent

We were coming to 4wheel and towed our vehicles on trailers. Knowing we were long, choosing a place that could accommodate our parking was important. When making our reservation, they told us we could park out front of the hotel along the street/curb because it was “their property” too. Long story short, we all got parking tickets. When brought to their attention, they refused to help resolve the issue or take responsibility for the misinformation they provided. Had parking been an issue/problem it would have been nice to have been communicated this up front- before we had secured our reservations. The rooms were lack luster as well.

It's an older hotel but it was clean and worked well for our needs. Very convenient and walkable to restaurants. As most older hotels it does not have an elevator which does make it more difficult if you're an older person having to haul heavy luggage up the stairs but it would not prevent me from staying here again. The staff was friendly as well.

Check in at kiosk as others mentioned. Efficient and no issues. Room was large and comfortable. TV not working properly. Contacted rep thru kiosk and tech came in about a hour to check the TV. Cost for 2 dogs is very high. Nice to be close to Main Street to walk thru town.

Very clean for an older motel. Pet friendly and has a neat little sports equipment and doggy washing area. Located right next to a river/ walking path. Access to ice. Expedia was a bit misleading - it mentioned breakfast provided. We arrived at 4 am....an unexpected delay and they had an electronic kiosk serviced by a real person to check us in and create room keys. In the check in area that were extra toiletry supplies and information brochures.

Long hair left in tub, on the floor and in drawer with towels. Only upside was they made bed up daily. Air conditioning quit working on second night. Short had a leak spraying out the wall. Ran out of regular coffee and no ice bucket was ever delivered.

Our bed had hair in the sheets, bathtub & sink. The floor was not swept or washed. The management was not willing to spend 30 minutes to clean up the room. Instead they offered us a lesser room to stay in, stating that the cleaning staff would not be there until the next day. In the replacement room we were given, 2 of the plug outlets were not functioning, so we had to unplug the main night lamp in order to use our cpap sleeping machines. One of the outlets was so loose we thought it may be a fire hazard.

Check-in was very strange. There is no staff, so you talk to a person through a monitor. She was quite capable, but weird. The room smelled of toxins. Apparently it had been sprayed for bugs, and even when we left the door and window open it still smelled. There was still bug spray on the windows, no one had finished cleaning it.

Our stay at the Virginian was good. You can tell it’s an older Motel that’s been updated. The bathtub resurfacing was peeling off and needs to be addressed but the room was clean and very convenient to downtown Moab. The kiosk check in was a little awkward but not too bad. Overall I would recommend a stay here.

The room was really clean and very comfortable and well decorated and recently updated. Very surprised how cheap it was vs how nice the room is.

This was a huge surprise for 76.00 we were unsure of what we were gonna get. It was super clean and very quiet. Highly recommend

Check-in was a joke, all virtual, only to save operating costs and reduce local jobs. Was given an occupied room at first, then had to video conference with the woman again. Room looked clean but when I wiped the floor from an ice cube, the rag was disgusting. Checked other areas, dirty too. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Wonderful experience staying at the Virginian hotel in Moab. Great value for the money. Huge room, very clean, excellent bed. My only issue - and the reason I am not giving 5 stars - the was with the structural quality. Every step, however light, was coming through the ceiling so loud and would vibrate my room. Thus caused major disruption to my sleep.

Customer service was great and price was great but the AC to the room was terrible. Overall experience was good and the Moab Diner right next door was great! If you need a cooler room for a good sleep I would look else where. If you can stand a bit warmer room then you’re good!

Spacious and comfortable and quiet room, fast wifi, everything works

Shower was warm but not really hot.

Convenient location, great guy at desk, comfy bed, clean room. Only issue was the upstairs guests walked all night, and sounded like they were stomping. Other than that, wonderful

The remodeled room was very nice, very rooming clean. Check-in was very smooth and super friendly and helpful.

Shower head is mounted way too low....other than that, all good.

It was simple and clean. Good location. The AC worked, but made irregular noises.

This was a good place to stay in Moab, and conveniently located. Building is on the old side, so electrical outlets are scarce. Bring an extension cord if you want to be able to have power near the bed overnight.

Big room had everything we needed

There was no staff to check you in except the screen with a woman from the Phillipines talking to you. I wanted to ask some questions about the area and she didn't know where the ice machine was! Very disappointed that there was no staff to talk to. Impersonal. Area felt unsafe out back. Will not recommend this motel. Will also post to social media as paid over $200 and should of gone somewhere else for less money and more of a personal touch. Too bad

It was convenient to walk to restaurants, stores, etc. which I liked. It was very impersonal with a kiosk to check in and out of. If you ran out of toilet paper, needed another towel, etc. - next to impossible to get as there was not a live person in the office. Due to poor ability to communicate through the kiosk - very time consuming checking in and out.

Was going into the National park, and go to the hotel 3 hrs prior to check in. They were still cleaning the room. We were able to get the keys to the room and put our stuff in later since the office closes at 10 pm. They do have a kiosk you can check in with as well if it’s after hours. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Would stay again for sure.

I like to stay at the Virginian because they allow dogs, great location and have the worst check in process in the entire Hotel industry. You walk in and there is a big screen on the wall and some person from New Jersey tries to check you in over the internet. I've been there 4 times this year and the average check in process takes over 20 minutes. 2 out of the 4 times they had to call the Hotel to get someone to complete the process. At one time I was a Marriott General Manager and I'm thinking of taping it next time on how to not run a front desk. When you get to your room there is usually more fun awaiting. In January we opened the refrigerator and it was completely covered in mold. My wife was nice enough to go across the street and buy cleaning supplies to clean it. She gave the rest of the room a good cleaning also. This last time we stayed there the TV was completely not hooked up. After pulling the dresser away from the wall I was able to find the electric cord and hook it up. Of course then the remote wouldn't work so I had to go out and try to find someone. I found a girl getting ready to leave and she tossed me a universal remote with the directions rubber band around it. but no luck getting it work so finally I figured out the manual buttons hidden on the side of the TV. Looks like they are trying to up grade the property but forgot that service is a key component of the Hotel industry.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Room is clean and comfortable, easy parking.

Terrible experience! I have travelled all over the states, stayed in many different hotels/motels. This by far is the worst one ever. Four of us got here after eight at night, a man checked us in. Found shower drain clogged up, water raised to ankle deep within two minutes, dirt and hair back floating from the drain. Called front desk. Waited 40 minutes, a handyman came with a plunger, for about 2-3 minutes he left; said he would be back in ten minutes with tools. We waited another 40 minutes but no one came back, then we called again about the problem. A female answered, gave us a runaround:“handyman said the drain is fixed.” “I don’t know about this…” “we’re full, no open room…”“manager not here, I’ll text him…” “have to wait till tomorrow…” Nothing was done. It was definitely a frustrating night for us fighting the drain all night. Unfortunately we had booked two nights here. The next morning we came to the front desk, expressed our frustration and request for room change or a refund for the second day. Man at the desk was who checked us in the night before. He did not at all seem sorry about what happened last night. He insisted that the shower was fine because handyman said so, and we are the ones who are nuisance, being unreasonable. He refused to switch rooms nor to refund us. During the conversation, he became hostile and yelled at us,”Shut up! No one else is complaining but you!” “No refund! If you don’t want to stay, just leave!” I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!!!!!

Incredible location. Property is a bit older but the rooms seem to have been remodeled well.

Had everything we needed with some vintage charm. Loved it. Moab was a blast and everything is walkable from the motel.

Great location downtown half a block from the main drag, but backed against a park so it was nice and quiet. Clean room but next bathroom upgrade, install some grab bars, folks. Not everyone is 25.

Good location

The room was very clean and has microwave and fridge. The location was convenient to restaurants, gas station and stores, walkable to everything. There was ice machine too which was a bonus. We brought an ice cooler since we were going to Arches National Park. The only thing that could have made it a perfect stay was the coffee maker, it was broken. Other than that, ot was still an excellent stay!

Enjoyed our stay very much. Met our expectations exactly. Exactly what we needed and located in an excellent part of the city, very convenient and close to everything we required. We would stay there again. Good value for the money.

Like a lot of others, I am not a fan of the TV monitor check in process. I was behind another 2 people checking in and the process seemed to take a lot longer than it need be. Other than that I can't complain about the Inn, there was plenty of parking, toiletries, and it's position in Moab was great. You have to go out for breakfast but the Moab Diner across the carpark is great. I would stay here again if I was ever this way in the future.
