Oakwood Inn

The room that I stayed in was excellent. However, the facility is currently undergoing renovations. If you are like and work nights, be sure to let the staff know when you check in. They will make every possible accommodation to put some distance between your room and the current area being remodeled.

Hotel was being renovated so they were trying, but the office was locked and didn't know where to check in. Room was clean. Had to ask for a shower curtain. The stairs were unsafe.

Not sure why this was a recommended property. It was undergoing renovations and there were construction materials and nails in front of the night check in window so I had to reach in order to communicate with reception which I gathered may live on premises and wasn’t exceptionally happy to see me at the hour I checked in. The door to the room was left ajar and the air conditioner wasn’t on in 100 degree weather. The room keys did not work but we did not make an attempt to get it corrected as we were only there for a short time and did not have a need for both of us to leave the room at the same time. You get what you pay for. The room served it’s purpose but wouldn’t recommend for more than a night or if you require comfort.

The stay was ok but they need to have better service in the rooms because if the insects. They also need to provide a breakfast area for the people that stay there. For the price they are charging they need one.

Meranda the front office staff is always available and very friendly and welcoming. Room was very clean with fresh clean bedding. fridge, microwave and tv work perfectly. Great job to the staff at oakwood inn!

Nice bed quiet location good shower there is no coffee or food options but I knew that when I rented the room staff was nice and worked fine for what we needed

Oakwood Inn is easy to find, rooms are clean, staff is helpful. Rooms have mini fridge and microwave but no coffee maker.

We were pulling a 38’ 5th wheel so parking isn’t the easiest. We called the front desk and the lady attendant was super helpful , she actually came outside and made sure we got parked in the lot alright. This place doesn’t have amenities, but for a good night sleep and a shower , that doesn’t break the bank , this is the place.

Everything was great, it would have been nice to have an iron and coffee makers

Room was clean and comfortable. A ton of outlets for your devices. They are remodeling and i stayed in a remodeled room. I was worried with the low price but was very happily surprised and will be staying again. If you need a clean basic room give them a chance. Bed was comfortable and air was cold.

I got ate by bedbugs. That’s the biggest issue. The room was full of all kind of bugs. I thought maybe a mosquito bit me but the bites all down my side. Then I actually seen the bedbug crawling on the bed. Then it was a dirty towel left thrown over the shower curtain rod and hair all over the bathroom and bathroom sink. This was by far the worse experience ever. Then when I called the front desk he was so rude and saying I must’ve bought the bedbug from somewhere else and he’s not refunding me. He didn’t bother to even come look.

The room was very dirty and smelled bad.

I didn’t appreciate the hotel clerk giving another guest my room, didn’t like that anyone was present at the desk, had to call a cell phone to get service, cricket infestation, shower amenities were very scarce and the soap stinks.

Our room smelled nothing but marijuana. I had to clean the walls and ac filter. I did report it to the front desk.

DO NOT STAY HERE, towels are dirty and stained, bed sheets were stained. No iron, no hairdryer… A/C vent was full of dirt, first night we got there guys were screaming at us. We felt very unsafe. Also no fire alarms in the rooms just wires hanging out.

What I didn't like: office closed, had to wait for an employee to return from checking a room; office filled with smoke (I don't smoke), was hard to breeze; door keycards did not work properly; no sleep because a/c too loud; walkways dangerous because of all the water leaking from each a/c unit could cause a fall; area stinks of stale smoke because of ashtrays outside of rooms with old cigarette butts; The area was stinky (probably from stale food, spilled sodas, etc, left on walkways, and not been cleaned/scrubbed/washed in a long time (smelled like empty trash cans in the alley outside of a restaurant where food & trash has been dumped). Finally, there was an infestation of crickets "everywhere," dead and alive! They were in the office, on the walkways, in my room (on the bed, in the bathroom, and even in the overhead light fixture). People had hotel towels stuffed under the doors trying to keep the crickets out. Needless to say, my wife slept in her clothes (what little sleep she got). All door locks should be replaced; a/c should be drained away from the walkways; all walkways need to be disinfected, scrubbed with some kind of soap, and pressure washed on a regular basis. Even though rooms were renovated, outside needs a lot of attention.

The blankets aren’t clean and has a ordor my last stay I had hair on the blanket

Room was not as clean as it should be, no way to keep all the light from coming in, and i couldnt change the thermostat on the ac. For one night it did the job since it was right up the street from where i needed to be.

We had to buy heaters, and blankets to stay warm! the man came in and said it takes time for it to work! Heat did not come on till 3 next morning. No hot water! Owner blamed it on weather! Asked for refund, told no. Had to get refund through bank! Won’t go back!

The room was spacious and clean. The desk clerk was so amazing. She was so nice and friendly.

Price was cheap, bed covers had cigarette burns, head board was disgusting with handprints and stuff all over it and walls were dirty, nothing wiped off, windows so nasty you couldn’t see out of them, no hot water, the town is limited to hotels but will sleep in my car the next time I have to go to the area

I always stay here and have never had a problem. Always clean and very quiet!!!!

Good nice updated property for the price you pay is not bad at all Roku tvs make the stay even better when you can watch Netflix or any streaming service

The beds are hard like bricks and the pillows were uncomfortable

There Not a fan of you booking online, made me cancel my hotel reservation through hotels and pay them more a night to be able to stay there. They didn’t want to lose their “extra cut”

The maintenance man was Amazing and all staff were very polite and made our stay just amazing. They had property spotless everyday and was always asking if they could do anything for us. Best place ive ever stayed

Staff was very very friendly, I got a flat tire and the attendant in the front help me change my tire without hesitation, rooms were smelled & looked clean, this is a small town so everything is close by, I stayed here to visit the Oakdale prison which is about a block away which was very convenient for me , I stayed with my 4 kids was fine, I wish they would have had an extra lock for the door but other than that everything was good.

I decided to stay there and they went ahead and had me sign papers in everything and then decided to throw in a $40 Pepsi per day for my dog and then because I couldn't afford it they kicked me out and would not give me a refund on a non-refundable booking

Rooms were nice and clean. The man at the desk was really rude. We ask for more towels and accused us of not needing them. He was not pleasant to deal with. His wife was nice and helped us later on.

Oakwood Inn is always a nice place to stay! It’s clean and quiet with nice staff.

It was okay. Yhe surroundings at night seems odd. Just mind the business that pays you. Lol.
