Bank Guesthoise was clean, quiet and had easy parking for our rental car. I didn’t realize there were only shared bathrooms until after we arrived but I never had an issue where I had to wait to use the shower or restrooms and they were pretty clean. No housekeeping though which was a minus but what do you expect for the price.

Very clean property. Obviously the surrounding area is not that great, but you'd stay here to get to the airport, which is super easy. You will need a car though as there is no shuttle. They have a good kitchen with appliances

The place had self entry via key code, and that all went really well. Spacious bedroom. Kitchen a bit cramped, but a reasonably well provisioned. The television in the room could have had more explicit instructions. I never figured out how to get it to work. Considering the relatively affordable price I can recommend the place.

I was expecting less for both the money and the reviews I read. It was actually pretty great. Perfect before flying out of KEF early the next morning. Small kitchen area with a few places to eat but had microwave and air fryer and some other kinds of hot pots. Coffee makers and such as well with coffee. Plus a cupboard of leftovers to leave or take for guests. If I was just flying in, there would've been a few items to take that would've saved money. Outgoing guests were sharing with incoming guests. The WC and showers were clean. Neat old bank building. Slept well. Use a phone app sound machine to help mitigate noise.

Parking was easy. Clean basic rooms and facilities. Close to the airport.

Easy to use, code gets you right in and facilities easy to use. Can hear planes coming and going when they are running but my much noise from other guests.

Für eine Übernachtung perfekt. Check-in problemlos. Super ausgestattete Küche. WC & Dusche sehr sauber, dafür dass sie gemeinschaftlich genutzt werden. Umgebung natürlich zweitrangig, da nah am Flughafen und das ein oder andere Flugzeug hört man auch nachts. Betten waren bei uns auch in Ordnung. Würde es jederzeit weiterempfehlen!

Very clean and fancy place. Only 1 think a tv set doesn’t work in the room 101 (remote was broken and out of 1 battery) Like that it’s very warm inside with 2 thermostats and clean bedding Kitchen also is very clean and nice ( coffee , tea provided)

This property is super convenient being very close to the airport. If you have a late flight, you can get in and out easy. Rooms were a decent size and clean.

This place is gross. The bathroom has a shower that sort of works, no place for a normal shower head, you have to hold a small wand the whole time and the temperature controls for water temp don't function. Pretty much hovers around scalding hot the entire time. World's smallest trashcan in there that is overflowing with everyone else's garbage. The room smelled like mold and there towels they gave me had brown stains on them. I would not stay here again.

Nous avons dormi dans cet hotel pour la proximité avec l'aéroport, notre vol décollant à 6h du matin. La literie était plutôt bonne et cela nous a permis de dormir confortablement avant notre retour, la propreté des salles de bain laissait à desirer mais cela dépend aussi des autres voyageurs.

It’s a strange place; located in an old military base, in a building of an old bank. If you like the beauty of local oddities, you will like it. We did. It’s very clean, and cool people stay there.

Note that It is 45min from Reykjavik but close to the Blue Lagoon (20min) and the KEF Airport (5min) so it is the perfect place to stay at when you have an early flight the next day. Several restaurants are nearby 9min drive. The room was clean and warm, several bathrooms are there to share, we had no other guests on our floor so we didn’t have any issue using them whenever we want. I recommend

Poor value for money. Shared bathroom, far from airport - you need to order a taxi, room wasn't dirty but it was unkept, coffee stain on table, zero storage, collapsible bridge chair - not that the chair counts for much, but it's the perfect indicator of quality all around, room light was so dim - clearly needs replacing,...

The bathroom was filthy. Piles of dirty towels and other peoples clothes. Socks drying on the radiator. A trash can with someone’s clothes in it. Flies circling the light. Unflushed feces in the toilet. Hair and soap scum all over the shower.

Broken shower, no bedside lamp or table, very uncomfortable,lumpy and badly made bed. 'Kitchen' had no cooker except for a microwave. Windows actually screwed shut by an amateur!

Wir waren nur eine Nacht vor Ort. Es sollte auch nur zum Schlafen passen. Leider war unser Bett nicht wirklich bequem. Für den Übernachtungspreis ist da mehr Luft nach oben. Sonst war es ausreichend für uns.

Good stay. Only complaint was we stayed in room 212, which i would think to be the last room to be rented out. It wasnt as the bank was not even half full. The room is the only one without shelving or a tv. The desk lamp was broken as well. I recommend the bank, but if you get room 212, ask for another.

Room was clean. This is just a place to stay though. Nothing special.

This property was clean, felt safe, and staff was great. Our biggest problem was a lack of power outlets. Only one in our room and none in the bathroom. This meant that because my boyfriend uses a sleep apnea machine we couldn’t have anything else plugged in overnight. The outlet was also far from the bed so we had to stretch the cord as far across the room as we could. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable but mattress was slanted. Would stay again for a one night place to sleep during our travels.

Arrivée tardivement a l'aéroport donc étape pratique. Salle de bain commune au bout du couloir ainsi que toilettes. Douche tres fatiguée pas de fixation. Chambre tres tres petite pour 2 personnes. Prix indécent pour cette qualité

Nice rooms, staff were accommodating over the phone

The staff was very accommodating and the place was clean and nice. The kitchen is great and has available snacks. Great location, close drive to blue lagoon and many shops in Keflavík.

Booked for rooms. Got an email with the code for one door to do self check-in. Landed at 22:30 and baked for the other does when we got to site. Like pulling teeth to get two more door codes. When asked about the fouth we were ignored. Finally settled into the rooms thinking i could get the fourth tom refunded. It's been a week and the customer service is awful. Avoid this place like the plague.

It took me about 45 mins to get in/check in. I wasn’t given a room number or a code to get in. Aside from that, room was okay.

Our flight got cancelled due to weather conditions. We didn’t get our money back, not even a part of it. The guesthouses employee said “it doesn’t matter” if it’s our fault or not. We also did speak to Expedia, who couldn’t help us. Would have wished for a little understanding and maybe a refund of half the price due to the circumstances, which weren’t our nor the guesthouses fault. Wouldn’t book that again, felt mistreated.

The hotel sent an email on the morning of our expected arrival, stating they have had “a fire alarm system malfunction, for that reason our property is closed and we can not accommodate any people here.” Unfortunately, they also have not responded to requests for refund. It is now 10 days later, and still no refund and they are unresponsive. Hotels.com states they are unable to help with this. BEWARE this hotel.

The staff were eceptional.

The kitchen was completed closed. All utensils were locked and was very inconvenient and inconsiderate to guests who may arrive late at night and want to have some food! Even the microwave was literally locked from being able to use. Terrible service! A million rules to follow.

Stayed here with our toddler to catch a few hours of shut eye when our flight landed at 0500. The guest house was so accommodating when we let them know that’s what we’d be using it for, and they let us stay an extra hour for free which was much appreciated. Close to the airport, easy check in process.

We had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The location was perfect for us—just an 8-minute drive from Keflavik International Airport. Ideal, especially since our flight was early in the morning.

Hostel like but very well done. Safe and easy to find. Keep in mind it is very remote so be prepared to stay there when you get there.

The room was minimalistically furnished but it and the facilities were very clean, bed was good, though the mattress was a little too soft for me. Very close to the Keflavik airport. The building and its location had seen better days though, apparently a bank building for a former garrison(?) based on the surrounding buildings and location. Other than the airport, there is nothing noteworthy around.

While it was clean and the beds were comfortable there was absolutely nothing within walking distance besides a bus stop. This building is part of an old military base. The views were that of a flat, treeless industrial park with chain link fences topped with razor wire. I think there was someone working there (maybe) but if that is truly the case they weren’t accessible. I only think that because we saw the same person making coffee and trying to get the coffee maker to work 2 days in a row. This seemed more like a hostel. The one towel each we were given for showering was only slightly larger than a hand towel. Our television didn’t work so once my travel partner and I were back in our rooms there was nothing to do but read or go to sleep. I searched for someone to talk to about this and couldn’t find a soul. I also sent an e-mail and never got a response. Internet was very spotty. We ended up walking to a car rental place and renting as we were literally in the middle of nowhere and felt trapped. Upon leaving I felt like we had just been released from jail. Do yourself a favor and find a hotel in the town of Keflavík if you would like to be near the airport. There are plenty that are actually within walking distance of civilization and probably have some amenities.

Établissement bien positionné par rapport à l’aéroport . Chambre de bonne qualité et arrivée de nuit sans aucun soucis pour entrer. Nuit calme malgré son emplacement.

The primary photo is not of this facility. It is basically a dorm room building. Shared bathrooms and almost no breakfast. I thought I was giving my daughter somewhere special to stay for her birthday. Instead of thermal spas or at least a swimming pool, we got a building that has been compared to a prison. Do your research.

Séjour agréable. Le logement est non loin de l'aéroport. La chambre est confortable. La salle de bain est assez grande. La cuisine dispose du nécessaire : une bouilloire, un micro-onde et des cafetières. Des condiments à grignoter sont mis à disposition. Veillez à retirer vos chaussures et les laisser dans le hall d'entrée

Super quiet for being right next to the airport. We got some great views of the glowing volcano in the middle of the night. There were not any issues with access to the shower or bathrooms as they were shared. The kitchen was so coinvent and nice to have for your morning coffee.

Die Unterkunft war gut um nach einem täglichen Ausflug zu übernachten. Man ist direkt neben dem Jet-Flugplatz und dadurch hat man ein wenig Lärm, der nach 20 Uhr auch abklingt. Die Fenster hatten am Gummi etwas Schimmel und der Fernseher hatte keine TV Programme. Aber: Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend, räumen jeden Tag die gebrauchhten Handtücher aus dem Bad und putzen. Die Küche ist immer sauber, leider ohne Herd. Es stehen immer frische Snacks wie kleine Brezel, M&M's oder Nüsse dort. Die Spülmaschine wird auch täglich ausgeräumt und der Fernseher ist modern und groß, so konnte man zumindest Youtube gucken. Der Zugang erfolgt über einen persönlichen Code.
