Parking at the back was hard to find, but safe area. Lovely quirky pub and room. Food here was lovely especially the breakfast. My room was in the front by the main road, some traffic news but didn’t ruin my sleep.

The car park is not very large and can sometimes be difficult to get a space. The rooms are very individual and well presented. Good food. Well worth the visit.

The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was in the covered courtyard which was a bit cool first thing in the morning. This meant that the food was not as hot as it should have been. We ate in the restaurant the evening before and it was fine. The car park is at the back of the hotel and accessed via the local supermarket car park, which is worth knowing. The location is excellent for visiting the lovely town of Olney, just on the market square.

Great stay at the hotel. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was good and good atmosphere in the bar. Limited parking at the rear of the pub so makes parking a challenge but other than that very happy with our stay.

Lovely pub/restaurant/hotel, which has successfully blended the old with the new. Staff service excellent. Food tasty and well presented. Dog friendly. Nearby footpaths and country parks close by and immediate area is nice to explore. One small negative - stable room bathroom needs a bit of a refresh.

A very nice hotel. Our room overlooked the courtyard and was beautifully decorated. Clearly they have had an issue with theft, as there are plenty of reminders in the room, that you will be charged for anything found missing (rightly so, in my opinion). The bath was very slippery, so maybe an option for a bath mat would be great. The shower was great and instantly warm. The selection on the tea tray was also very welcoming. Thank you for the hot chocolate option!. Parking was a slight issue, but easily resolved. There is plenty of street parking available. The market square is more limited, just read the signs.

One of my favourite hotels to stay in the area when away on business, great food and breakfast quirky and boutique style rooms only thing lets it down for me is limited on site parking.

Well situated small hotel in the centre of Olney, the on-site parking was full, so we had to park on the road outside which was ok. The room was interesting with the sink and shower in the room, it was very warm in the room and not possible to open the windows fully as there was a family of pigeons nesting outside, some of their feathers were in the room. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel but breakfast the next morning was a bit hit and miss, the menu looked good with plenty of choice. There was only one chef and one server and we had to wait a long time to have our order taken and then after about 10 minutes were told there were no pancakes and the chef couldn’t make them! The coffee was good and the food also but it took nearly an hour to have breakfast

Our stay was quick but we loved the setup, feels like a room in a house. The breakfast was amazing, service was great. Our room was dusty though. My son and I both have Hayfever and mildly suffered.

Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast and food were very good. Only problem being that there were no towels in the room. Luckily the store cupboard was open so could grab a clean one from there.

Great place to stay with lovely food. My only feedback is that the room could have done with a bit of dusting around areas that don't need doing all the time - places like the ceiling lights. Otherwise it was clean. Bed was comfortable, nice fluffy towels and usual hot drinks provided. The room was excellent value for money, especially with breakfast included, which is off the menu, lots of choice. Breakfast is served from 7.30am but as it's off the menu, it takes a little while to be cooked etc so I found needing to leave for 8 a little rushed, but totally worth it for the delicious eggs benedict i had.

This is my second review for this trip - first one for check in experience and first night..I was a little concerned that the extractor fan would kee me awake but in fact it went off just after 10.30 and thereafter it was really quiet in the room. The bed was really comfortable and the blind and curtains blocked out any light very efficiently. The room was very clean and the shower powerful and hot with nice toiletries. Breakfast this morning was very good indeed and fantastic value for money. Given that this was included in the room rate this stay was excellent in terms of price and I would thoroughly recommend the hotel and stay there again

Have been a few times and like the area as old town Like the Bull Hotel but this time was disappointed with cleaning but understand the floor boards get very dusty and it is a old building Staff are very nice Breakfast is okay but did not like the mushrooms and only half a black pudding

I've stayed here a few times now and whilst i do enjoy staying here my room on this last trip was a let down. I get the impression this room had not been used in a while. There was no coffee in the room, the toilet smelt stagnant (as did the water from the tap) rhe toilet paper on the holder had 4 sheets left on it. The room had not been dusted for some time (there was dust on top of the kettle, the bin next to the sink is so beaten up it looks like its been used as a football in the car park and when showering i had to turn it off and wait for the water to drain away as it is blocked.

This place is GORGEOUS! I stayed in 2 rooms as I was alone for a couple of nights then my husband joined me so we moved to a bigger room. The std of rooms is very high, lovely furnishings and spotlessly clean. We stayed during a very HOT spell of weather so we used the fan in the room which was adequate but not great - I guess that’s not easy for any hotel in this country. The food in lovely - I ate there all 3 nights I stayed and had something different each nice and wasn’t disappointed! The only gripe was I think they start breakfast too late at 7.30am. For business people this is too late. I wanted to leave at 7.30am. But then Every guest turned up at 7.30 so meant it was frustratingly slow and I had to wait for 25 mins to get fruit and yogurt and then down it in 5 mins to get going - I was 30 mins late for my first meeting. I understand only a few rooms also they don’t need more than 1 person in the kitchen, but when you have people ordering full English but some people like me want a light quick brekkie that takes a few mins to put together - it’s a bit frustrating. Anyway, I would definitely stay again.

Have stayed at this hotel at least 6 times over last few years in various rooms and price ranges. Each time the hotel and rooms were clean and tidy, good service, food and bar - our only concern what’s been the beds - uncomfortable, double beds not wide enough. Have never had a good nights sleep in any of them. Shame, as it is the only thing that lets the hotel down.

Contacted hotel 3 times with no response to check the room had a bath, so called and had it confirmed the room did have a bath. Arrived to find no bath, duty manager was unable to resolve as hotel was fully booked. Asked to see my booking and where it listed the bath, I struggled to pull it up as the WiFi is pretty bad, I collected the evidence whilst out at dinner elsewhere and advised him I had it ready for him to review however he never did come and check it out to get it corrected. We’ve stayed several times and it’s great value for money, however I was very disappointed with the fact the rook listed a bath that wasn’t actually there. As a single mum of 2, with very little rest and relaxation I was specially looking forward to this: would I stay a third time, absolutely but I would call and call again till I was sure the room had a bath 😊

Our 3 day stay was fine , the staff were efficient and friendly, the breakfast was very good and our room was cleaned every day….Only small problem was an unlevel bed which felt like you were falling out !

After a slight false start due to the first room having a broken tap, we were housed in a great room. It was tastefully decorated and comfortable, with everything we needed. The bed though spacious was a little firm for our liking.

The room was lovely and quirky. Check in and out was straight forward. The choices of Breakfast was vast and the Full English was excellent. All staff were really nice.

Had a great stay at The Bull. Whilst the car park was full upon arrival, we went in to ask what options we had for alternative parking & a member of staff moved their car to allow us to park. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a great host, explained all & even personally showed us to our rooms to ensure there weren’t any issues. We liked this personal touch. We were back late (attending a wedding) easy fob access & no issues. Had a great night’s sleep, much quieter then than we had anticipated. Breakfast was included in our rate - it was great food, but I would have liked a larger portion of the French toast…1 slice isn’t enough (but maybe I’m greedy & enjoyed it too much!) would highly recommend staying here, would definitely stay again if in the area again. Thank you!!

Nice hotel, but staff are unprofessional, at checking they might as well have just thrown the keys at me. Five members of staff but not one asked if they could help when we arrived. Only four people at breakfast, but still took 30 minutes to put avocado and an egg on toast.

The staff are amazing and very accommodating. They could not do enough to help me even when I checked him very late. They still were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast and food was great and the stay was lovely. The manager of the pub was absolutely top-notch and gave great customer service.

I’ve now stayed here twice, both times lovely rooms, clean warm and very comfortable. Food was good and the staff friendly and helpful. Parts of the hotel need some work and look a little frayed but I’m sure these will be addressed.

The stand-out feature of our stay was the check-in and staff experience. We were welcomed by ‘Non’ who was super-friendly and genuinely warm towards us; the best host! Our ‘Signature Room’ was completely stunning, far exceeding our expectations. The styling is excellent with all amenities and the bath in the centre of the room is a wonderful feature. We ate in the ‘snug’ and the menu choices and GF options were superb. Food was served promptly and was delicious. We recommend this hotel to other couples without question.

Lovely comfortable room except for the bathroom, shower leaked and sprayed water everywhere and was either freezing or boiling. Check in was slow and not welcoming, we were told breakfast was at 7:30 and so hung around to feed the kids before setting off on a long drive to find the whole place in darkness and the guest info stating it was 8:30 so had to leave without having it as couldn’t hang around for another hour. Service in the restaurant was slow and again not too friendly, we were made to feel like an inconvenience.

The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was in the covered courtyard which was a bit cool first thing in the morning. This meant that the food was not as hot as it should have been. We ate in the restaurant the evening before and it was fine. The car park is at the back of the hotel and accessed via the local supermarket car park, which is worth knowing. The location is excellent for visiting the lovely town of Olney, just on the market square.

We loved The Bull and Olney was an amazing find! It’s a beautiful town, several lovely boutiques and plenty of coffee shops and eateries. The Bull is centrally located, and our room was in the old stables - which was lovely, very quirky, we had everything we needed and it was really easy to take the dogs out. We were only able to stay one night, so we ate at The Bull in the evening. The food was excellent, as was the breakfast the following morning. We will definitely look forward to coming back to Olney and The Bull.

We loved The Bull and Olney was an amazing find! Literally a pin in the map as we wanted a convenient stop on our way to Norfolk. It’s a beautiful town, several lovely boutiques and plenty of coffee shops and eateries. We also felt it was a lot less run down than a number of other towns we’ve visited. And The Bull turned out to be a really excellent choice! The hotel is centrally located, and our room was in the old stables - which was lovely, very quirky, we had everything we needed and it was really easy to take the dogs out. Well situated small hotel in the centre of Olney, the on-site parking was full, so we had to park on the road outside which was ok. The room was interesting with the sink and shower in the room, it was very warm in the room and not possible to open the windows fully as there was a family of pigeons nesting outside, some of their feathers were in the room. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel but breakfast the next morning was a bit hit and miss, the menu looked good with plenty of choice. There was only one chef and one server and we had to wait a long time to have our order taken and then after about 10 minutes were told there were no pancakes and the chef couldn’t make them! The coffee was good and the food also but it took nearly an hour to have breakfast

Always a good stay here. Some creaky floorboards but what do you expect from a beautiful old building. Rooms are fabulous and there is a great selection of food on the menu and in the surrounding area. There is also the lovely Emberton Country Park around the corner for those morning walks.

Our stay was better than I expected. The staff were really great and our room was nice. The pub itself was a great place to relax and our evening meal and breakfast was delicious. Wish we could have stayed more than one night as the village too looked like a lovely place to explore. I will definitely stay again if the occasion arises to be in that are as this time we were attending Santapod raceway and the Bull was a great base for us as a family with a 4 year old.

Professional and friendly greeting at check in. room was spacious and had all the expected amenities. all very comfortable and homely. Dinner was great with a wide choice and a wonderful restaurant. Breakfast was, again, a good choice and freshly cooked.

Everything was good, nice spacious room, good evening meal - but the breakfast was very disappointing! A complete review of the whole breakfast package needs to take place! Streaky bacon that was so undercooked it was almost raw and so fatty it was inedible! If you're going to serve streaky it needs to be well cooked and crispy! Back bacon would be better! Sausages that had been reheated so many time they had gone rock hard and I couldn't push my fork into them! Toast pre-buttered so it was limp and soggy! The breakfast chef needs replacing as no where as good as the evening team! Improve the breakfast as it's letting the rest down! I would stay again as everything else was good - but please sort out the breakfast situation!

Cons - Sunday menu, had to settle for a burger as most things not available. Leak in the roof of the building so when it rained it came through the light fitting in the toilet. Understaffing meant waitng 45 mins for breakfast after being seated.

Lovely pub/restaurant/hotel, which has successfully blended the old with the new. Staff service excellent. Food tasty and well presented. Dog friendly. Nearby footpaths and country parks close by and immediate area is nice to explore. One small negative - stable room bathroom needs a bit of a refresh.

Really nice room and hotel. Friendly staff. A little disappointed that there was no hot breakfast due to not having a Chef, but overall a great hotel for a short stay in the lovely Market Town of Olney. Hotel has great character with some original features and a recently renovated restaurant area.

This place is GORGEOUS! I stayed in 2 rooms as I was alone for a couple of nights then my husband joined me so we moved to a bigger room. The std of rooms is very high, lovely furnishings and spotlessly clean. We stayed during a very HOT spell of weather so we used the fan in the room which was adequate but not great - I guess that’s not easy for any hotel in this country. The food in lovely - I ate there all 3 nights I stayed and had something different each nice and wasn’t disappointed! The only gripe was I think they start breakfast too late at 7.30am. For business people this is too late. I wanted to leave at 7.30am. But then Every guest turned up at 7.30 so meant it was frustratingly slow and I had to wait for 25 mins to get fruit and yogurt and then down it in 5 mins to get going - I was 30 mins late for my first meeting. I understand only a few rooms also they don’t need more than 1 person in the kitchen, but when you have people ordering full English but some people like me want a light quick brekkie that takes a few mins to put together - it’s a bit frustrating. Anyway, I would definitely stay again.

A well decorated room and very comfortable, however opening the door to see a roll top bath in front of the bed gave the room a cramped feel. I was in room 8 at the rear of the hotel which was generally quiet, except for a rather loud and annoying, what I presume water pipe, giving an intermittent horn like sound when a tap turned on. This continued on and off til after 11pm and started again just before 6am, so again I presume from the kitchen below
