We like the location. We have stayed here same time three years in a row. It’s seems to go downhill more each year. The breakfast and person preparing breakfast was very good. The pool was out of order for the 5 days we were there. The front desk people were not welcoming. They need trained. The carpets were either filthy or stained. The 4th floor door to stairs was difficult to open. The seating in breakfast area is stained or filthy. There were cobwebs in our bathroom and hair. We will not return. It is not worth the money.

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Definitely was worth the price. The room was huge and very clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The parking lot had lots of space and felt safe even at night. The breakfast was really good and the pumpkin spice waffles were great.

Our first night there my sisters room had bed bugs. The property was only shoveled right at the entrance, not around the property. The pool was broken (as it was when we stayed there in March) and was fixed during our stay but still cold.

The check in clerk was gone from the desk for about 10 minutes. When she returned, her statement was “Name.” I was instructed to swipe my card not knowing why so I asked. She stated “It’s for incidentals. Just swipe it. The hotel room was not cleaned thoroughly after the previous travelers. There were chips on the floor next to the bed, empty snack bags under the soap container had soap all over the pump. There were no towels in the pool area and when we asked for more at the front desk, we appeared to be bothering the clerk.

We really did enjoy our stay. Loved having the use of a peloton bike in the gym. The breakfast was good! The downsides were the pillows. They were all pretty soft, think I’d bring my own next time. The bathroom also had some cleaning/updating needing done. Overall though, we would stay again.

When we got to the room we found blood on the wall in the bathroom. Next a bug was on the wall by the shower. The floor in the bathroom was very dirty. The ceiling over the shower looked like it was falling in. The room did not have an iron when I went to the front desk to ask for an iron the one they provided did not work so back to the front desk to ask for a different iron this one did work.

Bathroom: mold, unsafe shower doors, tile floor has very uneven tiles that are unsafe for the elderly & the disabled people that have a shuffle gait, tiles are so uneven their corners are elevated by 1/2 " resulting in trip hazards. Complaints to the Manager were dismissed with excuses, ie: "I'm new", "I need a maintenance person", "I just got a new budget for paint"....blah, blah. We have stayed at this Hampton location multiple times a year since it opened. It has continuously degraded in maintenance & routine care. I doubt we will stay there in the future. Now, fix the damn bathroom mold & unsafe tiles!

The price for this location was ridiculous! The mattresses were hard as a rock. The bathroom downstairs next to check in was filthy and the breakfast bar was out of milk and other necessities at 7am. The waffle maker was crusted and nasty on the outside like it’s never been cleaned. When we made a waffle there were large black specks where previous grime came off onto our waffle. Needless to say we threw it in the trash. The worst part was we were blasted in the face with the smell of marijuana when we left our room this morning. Our daughter may attend college 20 min from this location, which means we will need a room for a night or two 3-4 times per year. You can bet we won’t choose this. Hampton’s have always been our first choice for stays and usually have the most comfortable beds. This stay was really disappointing.

Room 120 was damp and moldy smelling to the point of having bedding damp to the touch. We had to leave the air running the entire time to stand the smell. Lots of stains in the bathroom. Out of order main hallway restrooms. Just really gross.

We got a room with one king and our kids were supposed to sleep on the pullout sofa. I could tell it hadn’t been serviced as soon as we took the couch cushions off, as there were pieces of food under the cushions. When I pulled the pullout out, the ENTIRE sheet was covered in a giant pee stain. Disgusting. If that wasn’t bad enough, one of our pillows had spots of blood on it. Unfortunately, I’m unable to post the photos with the review.

While the hotel was clean, breakfast was delicious, and everything else was very nice, the most important part of a hotel is the bed, since you are there to sleep. The beds were like sleeping on a brick. We knew immediately when we sat down and the beds didn’t dent in at all, that this wasn’t going to be great. We would have left and found a new hotel if there wasn’t a no refund policy and not a lot of rooms left in the area, due to an event nearby. While my boyfriend was unable to sleep at all the first night and barely slept the second, I managed to fall asleep, but woke up almost every hour and left in pain. My back and shoulder ached all the next day. Since I’ve always had good experiences at the Hampton Inns, this was not what I’d expect. I would not go back, nor would I ever recommend it

The property was beautiful and the rooms were comfortable. The only criticism is the noise. The rooms only have cheap carpet squares with absolutely no padding, so we could hear every step from the room above. Late at night and it woke us up early in the morning. And I’m sure the people under us could hear every step we took also. We never heard one sound from the rooms on either side (and it was full) but only the footsteps from above.

The hotel's computer system was crashed on my arrival around midnight. I was told to find another hotel such as Holiday Inn about 10 min away. I said this was not my fault, they should communicate with Holiday Inn and secure a room for me instead of my going there blindly at the midnight. They refused to do so. They did not have any back up plans for emergency like computer crash, and they did not know how to take care their customers at their own fault. In addition, not only there was no compensation (such as cash offer or discount night, etc), but I had to call in several times before taking to the manager and waited more than a week to get the refund. If I did not call, I would not even get my money back. Terrible management and not professional at business level.

Customer service was really lacking. There was no fresh cookies at any point in the day even though there was a sign saying daily cookies. No cups were out for coffee or hot chocolate. Breakfast was very poor for a Hampton Inn. Even though breakfast was from 6-10, they stopped refilling at 9.

I've stayed here before. Centrally located in Xenia. Close to shopping and plenty of restaurants. Descent breakfast options. Great staffing. Just minutes from Central State University, Wilberforce University and the Afro American Museum. I met a few guests who said the bike trails were good. I travel alone and feel very safe here.

I'm not sure if this is a newer hotel or recently remodeled. Everything was spotless! New carpet, a modern, spacious bathroom, and a comfortable bed! It's located far enough from I-35 so, it was very quiet. It was a very pleasant surprise after driving through the mountains! Friendly staff and complimentary coffee.

The hotel is beautiful. Rooms are clean and spacious. I arrived at midnight and my room was still available. Breakfast was delicious and a good variety. I was on there overnight BUT would stay again with no issues!

When getting back from dinner, there was no coffee. The front desk person said she would make some. I came down a half hour later still no coffee. In the morning we showered and the tub took 15 minutes to drain. The bathroom floor was dirty. The conditioner pump did not work. My husband went down to get morning coffee and no coffee. Poor service. We will look for Marriott from now on.
