The highlight of this hotel is the terrace on Level 2 from which you are able to see the Tomar castle. That aside this was a small but cosy hotel. The room was a little bit on the small side but we still had a comfortable stay. The hotel breakfast was a decent spread of hot and cold food. There was a coffee machine which strangely put out coffee that was already sweetened so we didn’t like that as we prefer our coffee without sugar. The hotel’s receptionist that we encountered upon our arrival was excellent! She was fluent in quite a few languages including English, and was super helpful with all our inquiries. There is convenient parking in a free parking lot just next to the hotel!

Parking is an issue. There is a medium sized parking lot across the street. It is free but it is not only for hotel guests. The parking lot was full when I got there.

Fantastic hotel to experience Templar history. Loved the rooftop terrace with the honesty bar. Gorgeous view of the castle! Breakfast was varied and delicious. It was our favourite hotel in Portugal!

Malheureusement lorsque nous avons choisi cet hôtel, c\'était particulièrement parce qu\'il était mentionné qu\'il y avait un "stationnement". Surprise lorsque nous sommes arrivées, pas de stationnement attitré à l\'hôtel mais plutôt un stationnement publique où nous devions attendre qu\'une place se libère par miracle....sinon l\'hôtel était très bien, propre et moderne, grande chambre, bien situé!

Personnel très gentil. La vue sur le château sur la terrasse extérieur est fantastique. La grandeur de la chambre est correcte sans plus. Les installations de la salle de bain sont pratiques et impeccable. Le jet de la douche était super. C’est que j’ai moins aimé c’est le tapis dans les chambres et les corridors qui à mon humble avis auraient besoin d’un bon nettoyage.

An excellent boutique hotel in almost every respect. We had a very large bright room (#109) with a private deck; the hotel has a comfortable roof top deck with an honour bar and a view to the old town and Templar Castle; excellent service from all staff; great walkable location close to restaurants and all key sights. Breakfast can be a bit repetitive when staying multiple nights, but otherwise highly recommended.

Stunning hotel. Luxurious and extremely comfortable duplex room. Conveniently placed with restaurants and bars just a short walk away. Staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. Good buffet breakfast options - lots of pastries, fruit, cereals, cheeses, etc. I'd highly recommend it.

What a fantastic hotel! Central and easy to reach the castle and town. The receptionist, Fatima, was wonderful, and we had access to our room, two hours early. Fatima was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and bright, and immaculately clean. The bed was large and comfortable and the TV in a good position to watch from bed. The cupboard had tea and coffee making facilities, as well as a fridge and safe. The bathroom did not have a bath or bidet, but the shower was very powerful. The toiletries were top quality. The breakfast was excellent and the best on our two week trip around Portugal.. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel within walking distance to the convent and old town. Clean, safe, friendly staff, lovely breakfast. It had a rooftop bar with views of the castle. If I had one negative thing to say about our two night stay, that would be that the rooms aren’t very soundproof! We could hear the people in the next room! Also there was extremely loud music booming until after 1am from a nearby restaurant! When I mentioned it t on the front desk the following morning they were extremely apologetic. Highly recommend!

Fabulous views of castle from room 305, which has a little Juliette balcony. There’s also a rooftop honesty bar on 2nd floor well set up with good number of seating options either covered or in the sun. Nice self serve breakfast too. Great location walkable to town and restaurants. Free Parking is available very close to hotel..

Staff was very helpful. The little touches of a welcome drink and tea with custard tarts in the afternoon was so thoughtful. Great location, beautiful view of the town from the terrace, and free parking made for a wonderful stay.

This is a great hotel to stay at in Tomar. We stayed here twice and were able to leave our luggage in between as we were spending some time walking the camino. A really nice touch was that our luggage was waiting in our room the day we got back. All the staff were lovely and friendly and the welcome drink and the reasonably priced honesty bar in the rooftop terrace are excellent bonuses.

Everything was great. The people working there were so nice, especially Eva, she was so friendly and sweet, really enjoyed meeting her. Fatima and the others were also very helpful and nice. Definitely plan on returning to this hotel in the future. Loved the rooftop!!!

What made the Thomar Boutique special was the service received from Fátima, Sara, and Eva. These ladies made sure we were aware of the best dining and refreshment locations as well as ensuring we knew of the history surrounding Tomar. Housekeeping staff was great as well. 10 minute walk to town center. We really enjoyed our stay.

Ideally located for walking into the beautiful town or along the river with great views of the castle from the terrace. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and had that bit of character that we had hoped for with large windows and decor. Tomar is a little off the usual tourist trail (except day trippers to the castle) and hence great value for money.

This hotel has a very central location. It's walkable to (most) sites (you might want to take an Uber or Taxi to the castle which is uphill walking), shopping and very good restaurants. The room my husband and myself had was very nice as was the breakfast. The staff is very good as well.

Moderne en luxe accommodatie met ruime kamers die van alle gemakken voorzien zijn. Hotel ligt aan de rand van het centrum, alle bezienswaardigheden op loopafstand. Echter wordt er voor de deur van het hotel flink verbouwd. De werkzaamheden geven veel overlast; omlopen, beperkte parkeergelegenheid, beperkt zicht op de omgeving, constante geluidoverlast op werkdagen vanaf 7:00 uur... Hiervan was ik niet op de hoogte. Als de werkzaamheden voorbij zijn, is het verblijf zeker een 9 waard.

We enjoyed our stay at the Thomar Boutique Hotel in Tomar. The hotel is nicely situated in the heart of the old town, easily walkable to the nearby cafes and restaurants. The staff was excellent - friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. Our only complaint is that we purchased breakfast ahead of time, only to find out that the breakfast would not start until 8 AM, and we needed to leave for the Lisbon Airport at 7:30 AM. They were able to arrange a "breakfast box" for us that was marginal.

This place is amazing. It looks like it has just been through a recent renovation. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, we didn't pre-pay the breakfast when booking the room but paid at check-in, which I think was cheaper than pre-paid. Highly recommended this hotel.
