Pool was out of service. Hot tub out if service . Room had broken missing tiles. Large spot from leak in the sleeping area. Breakfast was a very minimal. Coffee in the lobby was only available until 9 am. Condition and amenities are that of a no tell motel

This hotel is HORRIBLE!! NO one should ever stay here again. Rooms AC DONT work!! Pool was GROSS … dirt on bottom. Hot tub BROKEN and half full. Staff could care less. They were RUDE and told us “OH WELL” when both rooms we tried would not get cooler than 78 degrees. Total BS!!! Will be fighting for my money back.

Room was OK, but the property was run down and poorly maintained. Examples include a broken window and missing spa timer in the pool room. The breakfast items were basic and poorly prepared (eggs, gravy, juices). Was there for the air races. We booked early and paid just over $100/night. They were advertising rooms at $350/night once they go wind of the event. What a rip off!

Hotel felt dirty. The first room we were assigned had not been cleaned. The second room smelled like old smoke and the windows did not open. The pool and hot tub were broken the entire time we were there. Not a great experience.

The first room was 85 degrees. The second room had AC but the toilet did not flush. The room had a beer can on the floor so it wasn't vacuumed. The room refrigerator was broken. The pool and spa were not open. The pool was greenish so it had not been operating for a while. The complimentary breakfast had NO ONE taking care of it. No coffee. A bowl of bananas.

When we arrived, we were given a pre made room key, the clerk shuffled through looking for a suitable room (I guess) he handed us the key and told us to park in the back. We already had our things and went to our room. It was filthy. We went back to the clerk and asked for another room. He shuffled through a diffrent set of room keys. Which led me to believe he knew first room was not ok. Second room was given, we went in, against our better judgment, the room was next to the side entrance which was propped open with a board. There were dead roaches, carpet destroyed by the window, poop on the walls in the bathroom, floors hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long, mouse poop behind the curtains. We left.

We were arrived the lobby smelled horrible , we got our key to our room , rooms was clean bathroom was different hair in the tub and on shower wall (gross) , doors or handles were not wiped downed stains on the comforters (nasty) . We were there for three days stayed one night left the next day . So I lost out on money .they have a beautiful swimming pool but the mildew on the ceiling in there is a hazard so I would not recommend this place till it gets clean....oh yeah the lady the was making the breakfast there had body order should shower mama.

Just a cheap worn out hotel that the owners aren't taking care of. It's just sad. This was once the finest hotel in town. Now it's just another worn our poorly maintained hotel.

Felt like I didn’t want to touch anything it was so dirty. A general sewer smell was present in the entire facility. Breakfast was very limited and we didn’t dare eat there with the sewer small. Outdated bathroom fixtures too.

This was a quick over night stay, so we figured $68 wasn’t too terrible for a hotel with a 7.8 review rating. I have no clue how this hotel has a 7.8 review rating. Our room had visible water damage in both the sleeping area wall and in the bathroom. Wall paper was bubbled and torn all the way down the wall from water damage. A section on the bathroom ceiling was completely gone from water damage and hading been replaced. Mildew and mold could very easily have been in those spots and definitely in the air. Had we not walked our kids straight from the car and into bed after our long drive. I would have switched rooms. We didn’t even have toilet paper in our bathroom when we arrived. The ice machine was broken, there was trash scattered throughout the parking lot and the property. You get what you pay for, but this was just very disappointing and embarrassing. I would have paid the next highest hotel of $150 for 8 hours of sleep had I known what I was really getting. Don’t let the photos trick you, this property should shut down and remodel.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Building definately in need of routine maintenance. First on arrival , checked in and discovered no elevator. Ok , i had a very heavy bag but made it work. My room was far removed from front desk and found my key card did not open the door. So down i went and got new cards. Those didnt work either. So back to front i went and they gave me a new room. Voila the card opened the door. Room was drab but doable. Woke up at 2am very cold. Found heater in room was not functioning. Since it was at 2am i just toughed it out. But pretty uncomfortable. Overall not a good experience.

Room was super hot, over 85 degrees and smelled like dirty wet clothes. Took over 3 hrs for it to be somewhat cool. Bathroom was old and dirty looking. Hotel, hallways and breakfast room were super hot. Flies were the only ones enjoying the food. Only thing good about this hotel is the polite staff.

Great location and friendly staff, but was given wheelchair access room which meant the shower was pretty hard to use and the room next door kept us up half the night as ypu could hear every little noise, as well as the hallway.

Older property. Looks like it used to be a holiday inn back in the day. Facility was pretty clean, some maintenance items were apparent, such as my room door not quite hanging square and room door lock taking some jimmying sometimes to get it open. Also the timer to the spa was inop. Friendly staff. Appears family run. The biggest issue for me was the noise-the low room rate seemed to have attracted some noisy guests who made a lot of racket until after midnight. Bottom line- not a bad budget hotel as far as budget hotels go, but bring earplugs

Staff was super nice. We booked separate from a friend who joined us late and when staff saw we were together, got us rooms next to each other without us asking for that. She was super nice and didn’t have to do that but took the initiative.

We booked and paid for this hotel a month in advance of the eclipse weekend - a very busy weekend. When we went to check in, we were notified that they no longer accept bookings from third party sites. Although they were notified by Expedia, they did not notify us of their new policy. All the hotels in town were booked by then. We were so upset! We will not ever stay in this hotel, even though it is next door to our son's school.

I was told to Wait for half an hour until they finished my rooms on 1st level then when I went to counter they have given my room to someone else. We chose this hotel because we were traveling with children and it had a pool. The front desk clerk told us the pool was open. When we arrived at the pool, another worker told us it was closed. It was only 6:00. There were many homeless people hanging around the outside of the hotel and there was trash, cigarettes, and busted liquor bottles on the ground.

Very cheap hotel, not far from centre of Roswell, a couple of places to eat nearby like applebees, dennys, whataburger, needs some upgrading, staff were very nice, rooms very tired but clean, had a musty smell, aircon noisy, but overall good for the price

The room was clean, but there was no sugar, sweetener or creamer with the coffee. The breakfast was ok but short on selections. There was sugar and sweetener for the coffee at breakfast but no creamer. The hot tub was dry and the pool was covered in scum so it was not usable. I would not recommend this motel.

Terrible service, rooms were dirty, one of the towels was dirty. Shampoo bottles looked that they had already been used. One of our rooms smelled terrible the other room’s carpet was wet. They tell you breakfast was included, but they had biscuits, waffle maker, yogurts which were frozen. Cereal bins, milk and juices were all empty by 8 am. Please do not stay at this hotel.

Pros. Great attitude of staff.Front desk was apologetic when busy. Cons. Front desk needs help. Obviously short staff. Need more hiring and help. My wife looked for breakfast at 8am with no coffee, not many selections. Staff was serving bread using hands without gloves. Staffs need more hygiene training.

Hotel overall was moderately clean, toilet ran very loudly and breakfast was not up to par. Only sausage and no gravy left for biscuit and gravy or eggs at all at 8am. Not like other Clarion Inns at all, would not recommend unless you have a pet, this is a pet friendly hotel which is nice.

We found a cigarette in our room on the first day in a chair! They only cleaned our room once while we were there for 4 days! I had to keep asking for towels, they never clean under the bed! Pool was fine, kids had fun in the pool, the breakfast was ok, they had cream cheese left out on the counter inside of in the small refrigerator!

When we entered the hotel there was a sign on the entrance stating that the fire department was assessing the hotel for smoke and fire. This was pretty disconcerting. But it was late and a long travel day. We checked in and received a free upgrade to a suite that was pretty dirty and smelled like a campfire. Guessing that other rooms smelled worse due to the smoke warning. Breakfast was powdered eggs, greasy sausage and white bagels. No fruit or oatmeal.

Check in was easy. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly, especially the breakfast lady. The breakfast was eggs and sausage one day and eggs with biscuits and gravy the second day. There was a waffle maker, bagels, mini muffins, cereal and the usual coffee and juice. However, there wasn’t any fruit or yogurt like most hotels. I don’t believe they recycle either. Definitely worth the price. I’d stay there again.

This was such a a disappointing hotel we ended up leaving a day earlier than we expected just to escape it. Understocked, uncomfortable, and understaffed, it was the worst stay we've had in Roswell. There was no water pressure in our room. There was no A/C in the hallways so the whole place smelled funny. The breakfast was microwaved eggs and sausage. There were random puddles all over the hallways and lobby. Overall I'd much rather stay somewhere where people seem to care about service and overall appearance, and this place is not that.

Smells awful! The rooms have stains and things on the floors and walls. No ice machine also no elevator which was mildly inconvenient. The man at check in was nice and helpful but outside of this I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past since 1984, when it was the fanciest hotel in Roswell, "The Sally Port Inn." And I stayed there the last 2 years for Alien Festival. Unfortunately, unless they make major changes to their hotel. The bathroom was not clean, there was black grease in the tub, and the drain for the sink and tub were both draining very slowly, and the towel rack was barely hanging on by a thread. The worse part of the stay was that everytime the air conditioner came on the entire room smelled like brocolli, which to me is a possible indication of mold, and the smell was not contained to my room, my son had the same problem in his room next door. The management had their clock in the lobby set almost 15 minutes fast so they could end breakfast before 9:00 a.m. There was not enough food for the guests, or if there was, they were not bringing it out starting at about 8:40 (actual time), which they said was 5 minutes until 9:00. It was also not very professionally staffed. The front desk clerk, which I'm assuming was the owner, was out every morning serving breakfast in the same sweat pants and shirt for 3 days, which was kind of gross. The positives on the hotel, is that they have good parking, convient access to down town and shopping, and they allow pets. I have a Master's degree in hospitality and Tourism, and it would be worth their money to upgrade and do repairs. This facility could be very nice again with a bit of effort.
