All staff were professional, helpful and friendly. The hotel was in good condition and clean. For a hotel all meal and drink prices were reasonable. Ideally placed for a walk along one of the best beaches in Norfolk and very short drive into G Yarmouth or Lowestoft. The new children’s water fun area is brilliant for the little ones and free.

Room was a good size and has air conditioning. Plenty of towels and well equipped with sundries ( biscuits etc). Breakfast very good and plenty of it. Dinner menu is good if a little expensive.

Lovely two day break. Staff were very friendly. Great room with a balcony overlooking the sandy beach. Drinks prices were reasonable and breakfast plentiful and tasty.

Bathroom door was a folding door which was hanging off and could not be closed properly. Reported to reception who sent maintenance. Were offered a move to a full sea view room or free main course at dinner. As we had been there a while and had unpacked already we accepted the meal. We find it hard to believe that the problem had only just occured though, so we were disappointed we had been offered that room in the first place. They advised someone would be able to fix it this week so it would be interesting to see if this happens. Overall I give the staff a 7 out of10. The guy behind the bar was very good. Great location and period building in a jewel of a British Victorian seaside resort.

The service and food exceeded our expectations and our room with its wonderful sea view was roomy, clean and tidy. The only issue we had were the fire alarms that sounded in the early hours fifteen minutes after midnight and again around 7.00am in the morning. We asked at reception and were informed that it was nothing to worry about but the system batteries needed changing.

My stay at the Pier Hotel was very pleasant. The staff were excellent & the room was clean. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom had a long window which was clear glass & the blind had to be permanently pulled down otherwise anyone walking past can see someone sitting on the toilet or having a shower.

We had a wonderful sea view that made our stay extra special, everywhere was very clean, decor and furniture is amazing. Staff and food are excellent, no complaints at all.

Great staff, dated rooms, locked in hotel room which is a safety issue should the be a fire, reception not answering phone for help, luckily I knew someone at the same hotel, it will be reported to HSE, I’ve been stopping here many time, again staff were great but management should sort out issues.

Well, well, well, what an amazing hotel Every aspect was just perfect. The Art Deco Sunrise suite was amazing with views of the sea, the staff were very hospitable and the food excellent. Would certainly use this brilliant hotel again.

Asked for sea views. It did indeed have sea view looking through rusting metal work of the fire escape! We had the only bedroom window on that side of the building with the old fire escape across it. My fault - I asked for sea view not unobstructed sea view. Unless you like old rusty metal work avoid room 206. However excellent cooked breakfast - hot and very tasty. Friendly breakfast staff.

On arrival we were warmly greeted. We were given a surprise upgrade to a beautiful suite of rooms, all decorated in the art deco style. All the staff here are genuinely helpful, curteous & approachable. We have been here several times, at different times of the year. We love being near the sea. The downside is the actual town itself, which has deteriorated over the past few years. This will not deter us from returning to this comfortable home from home hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in a superior double with sea view. The hotel has a homely feel and the staff were friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. The view from the room of the Gorleston beach is stunning.

We had a wonderful sea view that made our stay extra special, everywhere was very clean, decor and furniture is amazing. Staff and food are excellent, no complaints at all.

Lovely two day break. Staff were very friendly. Great room with a balcony overlooking the sandy beach. Drinks prices were reasonable and breakfast plentiful and tasty.

On arrival we were warmly greeted. We were given a surprise upgrade to a beautiful suite of rooms, all decorated in the art deco style. All the staff here are genuinely helpful, curteous & approachable. We have been here several times, at different times of the year. We love being near the sea. The downside is the actual town itself, which has deteriorated over the past few years. This will not deter us from returning to this comfortable home from home hotel.

Very comfortable overnight stop on business. Staff welcoming, polite and extremely helpful. Good sized modern room, with the bonus of a sea view. Enjoyed a fresh fruit cocktail and hearty cooked breakfast, followed by a stroll on the beach.

Well, well, well, what an amazing hotel Every aspect was just perfect. The Art Deco Sunrise suite was amazing with views of the sea, the staff were very hospitable and the food excellent. Would certainly use this brilliant hotel again.

Room was a good size and has air conditioning. Plenty of towels and well equipped with sundries ( biscuits etc). Breakfast very good and plenty of it. Dinner menu is good if a little expensive.

The hotel was very nice, we paid over £300 for 2 nights, so we expected a nice breakfast, but the breakfast was poor. We had to ask for the orange juice and fruit cocktail to be replenished both mornings even though we were early. The hot food and coffee that was ordered came to the table warm & not hot.

Staff so helpful and welcoming. Rooms have been refurbished and very comfortable and clean. We have stayed at this hotel before and will definitely be going back again.

Our room was on 3rd floor and lift only goes to 2nd so anyone mobility issues I would recommend you check on booking. The room was lovely and the shower amazing. Breakfast had great choice and the staff are so friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel.
