It was decent. There isn’t much between the walls and doors. Can see the light from the hall between the doors and it’s super loud when there are people in the hall. When neighbors are entering/exiting their rooms it sounds like your door. The hot tub and water slide were down which would have been good to know before check-in - a message should go out to arriving guests. The staff were friendly though. Will likely give it another shot when we bring our kids (hopefully the hot tub and slide will be back up by then)

Pool and hot tub need some TLC. Room had hair on the sheets and had some repairs done to the wall, but was never painted. Breakfast was subpar, turkey bacon was warmed up but not cooked. Wont stay again.

Very nice rooms and very clean! Kids loved the pool and waterslide amenities, and a great breakfast option. The main downfall is there is only 1 elevator, and we had line ups to use it because the cleaning staff also use it with their carts (which take up the whole elevator) when you are bringing luggage. The elevator did break down and we had to use the stairs. Also limited carrying carts when checking in for the number of units, especially with the elevator issue.

My check in was ok it was not very friendly or warm though. The room was clean but I was surprised that there was no coffee table as this made me and the 5 boys eating difficult. The hot tub was not in service which made me regret staying. If hotels don’t have amenities in use then they should notify you so we can make an informed choice to stay or not. The breakfast was very good and sufficient enough to be satisfying. Would we stay again? Maybe but I’ll be calling first. The pullout bed I slept on was terrible and uncomfortable My check out was very pleasant warm and friendly. I appreciated the ladies at the front desk being very polite.

Staff were good, room was clean. Hotel was way too busy. And very loud. Did not get a good sleep. Pool has so much chlorine that even just sitting in the pool area in a chair your eyes burn.

The waterslide and pool area didn't seem very well maintained, seemed dirty, and was smaller than I expected. The hot tub was very small and had gross looking foam on top. I had booked this hotel mainly for those features and was quite disappointed. The room was excellent, the breakfast was good, and the location was convenient, so our overall stay was still enjoyable, since it was just an overnight stop, but I'd definitely not stay multiple nights.

While this hotel was clean in the rooms the pool needs to be shut down. The pool area has mold growing on the floor, the pool tiles was dirty, the fountain is rusty and there is multiple tiles broken and on the floor. Don’t go for the pool. Excellent location for shopping.

Food was okay. Rooms are nice and new. My kids loved to swim but the slide is separated from the pool and it’s all rusty there which is a turn off, the hot tub paint is peeling off which looks bad. I think the only good there was the shallow water for toddlers.

I have been a great supporter of this hotel for years- personal and for business. Unfortunately, there have been repeated challenges and deterioration the last 2 years- the only elevator is down more than it is operating; there is dog feces in the hallways, and the hot tub is frequently out of service and there are empty cans on the grounds. There are positives as well- the team that does the breakfast is amazing and friendly; the front desk and housekeeping staff are friendly and professional, and just as important is the Manager acknowledged the challenges that occurred during my latest stay and gave me a discount on my 3rd night stay- I thank him as he is trying. As long as pets are allowed, and the children jump in the elevator, nothing will improve. As some of my personal trips include a mobility challenged family member, we could not stay here as it would not be safe with the only elevator not in operation. I love the location and hope this hotel can get back to its superb beginning.

Overall, the hotel was clean and in good condition (I believe it just recently opened). The check-in process was highly efficient and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The cookie for the kids was a really nice touch :) The hotel is less than 5 minutes from the Cross Iron Mills mall, which is super convenient for those looking to shop and be in close proximity to restaurants and amenities. However, the hotel elevator was out of service for about 70% of our stay, which was disappointing when you have multiple bags / luggage to carry up and down the stairs. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars for cleanliness, was that the stairwell looked as though it hadn’t been vacuumed / cleaned in quite some time and the carpets in the room were also quite dirty and stained.

The hallways and common areas of this hotel are getting to be quite dirty for such a new hotel. The rooms are reasonably clean. We stayed for 2 nights and were informed that they only give housekeeping services after 3 nights. (I know that this is getting to be more common… but it wouldn’t have cost me any more to check out and then back in and get a clean room)

I was extremely disappointed with my stay. When I checked into my room, I found a bloody Kleenex in the bathroom and the entire area felt dirty and unclean. I immediately notified the front desk, and they assured me it would be taken care of. However, when I returned to my room at the end of the day, nothing had been cleaned or addressed. This level of neglect is completely unacceptable, and it made my stay very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Staff was very friendly, but our room was not cleaned for the whole stay. Apparently you need to call front desk for a cleaning. We were there for 4 days. Our fault tho, we didn’t know. Breakfast was the same for the 4 days, that’s ok it was complementary.

Breakfast was not fresh. Our room was not clean from the previous people, door was left dirty( dirty hand prints all over it) clothing left under tv stand ( dirty clothes on the floor)( cleanliness of room was horrible). Pool door broken for going out side so anyone could come into the hotel.

The staff were all great from the front desk, housekeepers, and breakfast attendants. They were all super friendly, professional and saw to all of our requests. We were needy guests lol The only complaints I have is that the hotel is close to the airport or atleast close enough that there are low flying aircraft at all hours of day / night. The hotels construction does not have sufficient noise proofing to compensate for this. In the shower the toiletries are hung on the wall right where you stand so you are constantly bumping into the bottles while showering, there is no way to move them as they are fixed to the wall. Breakfast was a bit disappointing too, just heat and serve sysco food. The egg patties were dried out too. Overall I don't believe that we will stay here again. We tried a new hotel outside of the one we normally stay at due to it being closer to the mall, but the noise experienced through the night makes our usual hotel up the road in Airdrie more appealing and comfortable for sleep.

The kids loved the water slide and the scavenger hunt the front desk has. The air conditioners in our room were way too noisy to sleep so we had to shut them off. If that were fixed, the stay would be excellent all around

We stayed in the standard Family Stuite for 1 night and the Family Theme Suite for 2 nights during our Spring Break. The theme suite is a fun room. The standard family suite is on the third floor and the theme suite is on the first floor. The walls in the hotel are paper thin, you hear EVERYTHING, kids running and jumping on the floors above, water rushing in the walls when someone flushes a toilet and people coming and going down the hall. The windows in the theme room do not have black out curtains, just the slat type blinds with sheet curtains, we had to hang a blanket on the window in the kids room as the parking lot lights and the hotel sign shine right into the room… all the other rooms have blackouts, why not this one? The pool and waterslide are great for kids, the best time to go was mid day during the week as they host birthday parties on the weekend. The breakfast is just mediocre and we would leave looking for more food. For the hotel only being a couple years old, it is quite worn looking. They don’t build them like they use to. The staff were great to get us into our room early but I don’t think we would stay here again.

The windows in the theme room do not have black out curtains, just the slat type blinds with sheet curtains, we had to hang a blanket on the window in the kids room as the parking lot lights and the hotel sign shine right into the room… all the other rooms have blackouts, why not this one? The pool and waterslide are great for kids, the best time to go was mid day during the week as they host birthday parties on the weekend. The breakfast is just mediocre and we would leave looking for more food. For the hotel only being a couple years old, it is quite worn looking. They don’t build them like they use to. The staff were great to get us into our room early but I don’t think we would stay here again.

2nd time staying at this property. Hotel is great but the staff this time around was not as hospitable as when the hotel first opened. Drove from Winnipeg and had to leave early in the AM. Waited 25min or so to get checked out cause no one was at the counter with no sign indicating that. Decided to leave sticky note with room number and key to checkout. Front desk lady ended up catching me before heading out and got checked out. Waited another 10min to get checked out and at the end lecturing me that I can just leave the keys behind and don't need to do what I was doing. Had issue with the check in as well with the staff.

My friends and I stayed for the week for our trip during Stampede. The service and the quality was amazing, and staff was super helpful and accommodating! We did have a leaky fridge during our stay, we went ahead to report it and they gave us a new fridge that same evening with no issues or concerns! I would stay here again and will recommend others to book their stay :)

I have been a great supporter of this hotel for years- personal and for business. Unfortunately, there have been repeated challenges and deterioration the last 2 years- the only elevator is down more than it is operating; there is dog feces in the hallways, and the hot tub is frequently out of service and there are empty cans on the grounds. There are positives as well- the team that does the breakfast is amazing and friendly; the front desk and housekeeping staff are friendly and professional, and just as important is the Manager acknowledged the challenges that occurred during my latest stay and gave me a discount on my 3rd night stay- I thank him as he is trying. As long as pets are allowed, and the children jump in the elevator, nothing will improve. As some of my personal trips include a mobility challenged family member, we could not stay here as it would not be safe with the only elevator not in operation. I love the location and hope this hotel can get back to its superb beginning.

Every time me and my family are in Calgary area, we always book in Days Inn North Balzac. Location is very convenient after a long walk in the outlet. Breakfast was amazing to start your day. Checking in is a big plus. Toni was very helpful. When we told her that we have newly weds from Philippines, she offered us a complimentary bottle of wine which the couple will bring back home to Philippines as a souvenir. Will recommend this hotel for its amazing service.

Breakfast was not good. Very salty hash browns, rubber eggs and very greasy sausage. Issue with only one small elevator for the number of rooms causing crowding and long waits. Otherwise the hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly.

Very good breakfast. 1st day: Had eggs, muffins, ham, bread, 2 kinds of potatoes to choose. 2nd day: breakfast sausage, eggs (2 kinds) For 2 days: Coffee , orange and apples, and juices too. Yogurt. Pancake. Different bread. Etc.. The room was very clean, new and comfortable. Bathroom had Dove Shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Had outside sink. So we didn’t have to wait for someone in the bathroom. Had mouthwash, small dove bar soap. In the room: Coffee maker fridge, microwave. We also had 2 working TVs. Staff during the evening were very nice. For the price it was a great deal! Would recommend coming back. Costco and cross iron mills VERY close by.

Check-in was super easy, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We found the beds and pillows comfortable, and the room was quite spacious. Everything looks new and sleek. Nice little microwave, fridge, and coffee pot. Lots of cupboard space for longer stays. Breakfast was mediocre, and there weren't nearly enough places for the number of guests. They ran out of spoons and put tongue depressors out. In terms of our room, cleanliness was GREAT except for the bottles in the shower. They have clearly not been cleaned in awhile and there was a build up of soap and shampoo. Counter, toilet, and shower itself were clean, though. Pool was heavily chlorinated, but our kid had a great time. She loved the waterslide and the swimming area. We appreciated the shallow children's area for littles. Hot tub is lukewarm, at best.
