Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The property is a bit outdated but was clean. The grounds left a bit to be desired due to all the broken glass and trash in the parking lot. All-in-all they place was sufficient and I would probably stay there again.

Older property needing some upkeep. the Direct TV seemed to have a bad signal or a problem that was constantly causing screen freeze. WiFi signal was non existent in our room although I was assured the WiFi was working great. Should not have waited until last minute to book a room then I could have stayed at Best Western.

The listing on the internet showed there was a pool and free breakfast. There was no pool and there was no breakfast. Our coffee pot was broken and we were told to come to the lobby and get coffee there. The room were breakfast was to be was dark. There was nothing fixed, only Little Debbie type snacks were in a basket on the counter. No juice, no coffee. Will not use again. Gives Super 8 a black eye!

The sheets were stained, the towels were discolored and in poor condition. There were bugs in the bed and a gap under the door so the bugs, including crickets could come in. The tv did not work, terrible picture. Your motel is why I carry a can of lysol when i travel.

multiple cockroaches are everywhere in my room. Best estimates I would say I have seen 10-15. They are small, moving around fast. They went into my food so I have to trash it. Such a nasty hotel room is a symbol of, I don’t know what to say precisely, nightmare. I hardly recall I had this kind of room experience before. The breakfast is most nothing. Building is old.

The stay went well. I've stayed at this location before and was pleased enough to return. Everything worked well. The a/c blew cold. The water in the shower was hot and everything was clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I will consider staying here in the future.

If you like cockroaches, then this is the place for you! At 2am after an 18 hour drive we reserved a room to catch up on our sleep. We hat we got was a cockroach zoo in a dirty place I wouldn’t let my worst enemy stay!

This property needs some serious updating. Our room was clean enough, but the walls were peeling and looked like had water damage. There was no threshold on room 135 and you could see daylight under the door. Very easy for insects to get in.

The room was clean but very dated, hair dryer didn’t work had a new one sitting on safe but needed to be wired. Iron spit out black water staining clothes. No Kleenex, remote wouldn’t work unless you were close up. Knob on bathroom door falling off hard to get out of bathroom. Security latch on door was broken didn’t help secure door. AC hard to control temperature. Owner was not friendly. Not worth the money.

It’s not the worst motel in town. It could be cleaner and the room needed some maintenance. The door would not shut on the bottom. The smoke detector was gone. The manager told me as long as I didn’t smoke in the room it shouldn’t be a problem. Lol I wasn't worried about my room on fire as much as the rest of the hotel. The hotel has a working truck yard next door. It’s very noisy. All and all not the worst I have stayed in. We will not be staying here again.

There was a very limited amount and variety of food for breakfast.I had to ask for her to refill waffle batter and milk.The room was dimly lit with only two small lights on and not the main lights in breakfast room. Every single time we tried to unlock our door we had to try at least a dozen times before the card would unlock the door. The toilet paper holder was about to fall off the wall. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfy.

Electronic key card did not. I had to go to the m as managers office twice to get it fixed. Television remote did not work. Door would not close when left the motel in the morning when left. They did get that fixed before I returned later in the day. I will stay at this motel again.

I am the kind of person who likes to leave positive reviews, but I could not check out of this place fast enough. The bathroom was so outdated and the shower an extremely unpleasant experience. The shower faucet handles hardly worked correctly and trying to maintain a consistent temperature was impossible. There was left-over mortar on the wall in the shower area and the fixtures were ancient. Time for some upgrades! When things get this outdated in a bathroom, it is impossible to keep it clean. It just felt like the owner was really scrimping and not maintaining the place. I will not stay there again. The photos on the website must have been taken years ago.

Our reservation wasn’t on their computer when we arrived. Finally after 15 minutes the guy at the front desk gave us a room. Bed was great. Room condition was not good. At least there were clean towels. Room was clean just old and yucky. It’s cricket season and they were all over inside. We did feel safe. Advertised breakfast was very minimal but was fine. We definitely paid too much for this room.

Easily the worst stay I’ve ever had. Was there for a family reunion, arrived around 10pm, first red flag is they just charged my card on file with hotels.com, but i chose pay at the hotel and planned on using another card…so annoyed, but whatever. The room itself looks ok, but the lamp isn’t working. Take a shower and discover a couple rags with stains! Called front desk for new…told us to come get them. Too exhausted, just went to sleep and went to reunion next day. Upon coming back (evening) our key cards don’t work…luckily our daughter was there to let us in. Then discovered three outlets no longer work…which they did yesterday. Also,,the coffee maker didn’t work on ANY outlet! Next surprise was sitting on the toilet and finding it wobbles to the point of almost tipping over! If that wasn’t bad enough, we found two good size roaches in the tub! The front desk barely answers the phone at night, and when they do, they come across inconvenienced and annoyed… Check out: I listed my concerns (especially the roaches) and the front desk said i should have asked for a new room…but if one room has roaches, they ALL have roaches. He said they’ll close down the room to have it inspected, to which I replied “how the hell did this room stay eligible to rent, because I can’t possibly be the first to notice all this?!” His reply was “i can’t refund a day” so i accepted the refund, but I guarantee that room is still being rented out! FYI: room 215!

The Staff was so unfriendly. He never welcome us and when we left he never say ONE word as we checked out or left. No Good Morning, Good Bye or Thank you. The Breakfast was a joke, we had Hostess Twinkies, and Hostess Cupcake, No Orange Juice or Water. Only Pancake Mix to make Waffle. The Towels were so thin you could hardly dry yourself. Never enough towels. It was remodeled so it was fresh inside and outside.

I showed up with my confirmation number, and ended up leaving to get another hotel room. The lady in the front COULD NOT speak English. She stayed on the phone with someone else for almost an hour trying to figure out how to check me in. On top of that, the place is very nasty. I watched/listened to her try and figure out how to use the computer to give my room until I finally decided it was just too much trouble. I've been traveling on business for over 30 years, and I've neve experienced anything like that in all of those years. I can't imagine what the rooms would have been like if I had actually made it from the nasty front end to a room. For what it's worth, three people behind me watching/waiting walked out when I did. Good luck if you stay at this roach motel.

No major complaints. Biggest one was shower curtain was installed in such a way the curtain would gather in the middle leaving the edges open. No real biggie.A real plus was hotel location had access to a traffic light. Crossing highway 290 without one is quite an adventure! I would stay there again.

We felt safe at the hotel. We saw many people with dogs, but didn't see any children, so all was quiet. The staff was friendly and courteous. While the hotel has some areas which could use some updating and/or repair, we found it to be clean and most everything was functional. We would stay there again.

Super 8 Giddings is an average Property, but in Giddings, you don't have much to choose from. Only one property in town is a better property, but twice the price. I stay in Giddings several times a year and refuse to pay twice the price for the small difference. It's clean, could use a refresh, and comfortable, but don't expect a Resort experience.

Truly the worst hotel "breakfast" ever. Dry cereal, waffles, and small donut packages were the options. We got the last 2 pieces of fruit (bananas) at 8am. Bathroom light went off and on on its own at varying frequency. Shutoff valve behind toilet was dripping into a paper cup that was full. We laid a towel on the floor to help contain the overflow. Cheap, faux wood floors. Pillow cases were yellowish-brown. Towels were thin, one was already dirty. Shampoo bottle was half full. Toilet seat had worn areas around inner edge.

This is my first experience with a Wyndham Super 8 motel. The staff was friendly and there was breakfast the next morning (packaged donuts, Twinkies, cereal, coffee, toast, and a waffle maker, but no sausage or bacon or eggs). Room was average. The walls were pretty thin, though, because I could hear the person in the next room snoring! Recommend bringing your own pillows because the pillows were lumpy. Price was higher on the weekend. The area seems safe and secure.

Ice machine wasn't working. When you pulled the thing to turn on the shower, it still came out the spigot. Burn holes in the bed spread and the blanket. The breakfast was a joke. The milk was set out in a pitcher so it was warm.
