Great location in a very peaceful area only a short drive to the Whitby park and ride. Superb breakfast and very good choice of meals of an evening. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful, making us and our little dog very comfortable.

Spent the night at the Wilson Arms. Lovely little pub in a very peaceful area. Friendly staff, clean rooms, fast service and lovely food from the restaurant. Would definately recommend the Wilson Arms.

Great place, the owner was excellent gave us phone numbers for a taxi as we arrived early and meeting family in Whitby, it is a short taxi drive to Whitby, cost was around £12. They gave us the key to the room so we could check in later as we was out all day. Room was lovely and clean. Breakfast was excellent. We did not get to use the pub, but looked really nice.

Everything was perfectly adequate, but the pub bar wasn’t open on a Saturday afternoon. Was looking forward to a pint after a 2 hr drive. Nice views from rooms & breakfast was nice.

Parking safe, plesent welcome, all staff very nice, bar and food first class, room clean and likable only complaint no heating on after about 10am on a morning . Very cold by afternoon,had to sleep in socks and dressing gown but heating comes on about 3am early morning so wake up sweating. But room nice and warm till after breakfast. Was told before we left something wrong with boiler. Was all ok and perfect other then the heating but managed to get by still slept well. Would go back and stay again no problem and recormend it to family and friends and would give our stay a 9/10.

Went to check in. All the doors were locked. Check in time was after 3pm. We arrived just after 4pm. Hubby was handed a key and was told they don’t open until 6.30pm. Okay not a problem. We went out. Got back at 9.15pm to find that food was served between 6.30 and 8.30. The only place I saw this was on the menu. So after a long drive from North Wales we went to bed after not eating. The room was ok as long as you didn’t look at the stripes on the carpet. It was a minor thing but they weren’t straight. The beds were tiny. The size where you have to wake up to turn over or you end up on the floor. I’m 5’4” and 112lbs. My husband called the room Garage Sale Decor. We don’t know what time breakfast was or if there was any. The pub bit was locked. No one around so we left the key in the room and left. It was about 7.30. Never again. I have never felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable walking into a place.

The room was very clean and the bathroom too. The staff were really nice and friendly. Our bed was really comfy . It's in a quiet little village not far from Whitby. As out of season it was very quiet. Ate in restaurant, was a really good menu. Would recommend

We have stayed at the Wilson Arms a number of times and everything is just perfect. Lovely and helpful staff. Always smiling and happy. The rooms are always comfortable, clean and have everything you need. The bar area is very nicely decorated and the range of drinks should suit everyones taste, it does ours. The menu is quite large and definitely value for money. Cooked and presented perfectly. Breakfast is always worth waiting for. You won't get better. Already planning our next booking.

It was a lovely place to stay but the room was cold and no hot water or none of the usual toiletries you would expect to find. Also toe nail clippings at side of bed which was gross. More pillows would have been good. Food was lovely and a very modern stylish restaurant.

The Wilsons Arms is a delightful hotel, in a hamlet, away from the hustle and bustle of Whitby. The rooms were beautiful but one bin had not been emptied and one shower did not function properly in the evening. It did the next morning. Staff were friendly and the pub had a wonderful atmosphere in the evening.

We only stayed overnight as we were visiting the replica Spanish galleon while she was in Whitby, but we had a great time. The food was good, the staff friendly, the bed was comfortable and the room very clean. All good value for money.

Great peaceful place with beautiful views. We were well looked after and the owners made it possible for us to check in and use the room before our official check in time which was really helpful. Breakfast was lovely.

1 night stay here in room 6, the pub itself was really nice, the room was lovely, really nicely decorated, great view from the window and all in all very comfortable. One small thing could perhaps do with a blackout layer to the curtains as it is very bright very early. The Breakfast was also really tasty. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel, situated in a lovely village with views of Whitby abbey from our window, recently renovated. Bedroom was nice and clean as was bathroom, 2 pillows were provided one hardish the other soft but flatter, could have done with something in between. Evening meal and breakfast were good, well cooked and hot. Was in a lovely quiet area so very quiet on a night. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Could do with a shower holder in the shower so not bobbing up and down to get things off the shower floor, but that's a minor thing. Had a lovely folk band on in the new extension area. Would definitely recommend and definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Wilson for a couple of nights when working in nearby Whitby, a ten minute drive away. Sneaton is a quiet hamlet near to Ruswarp and is very quiet so great for a peaceful night of sleep. The bed at the Wilson was comfortable with clean crisp bedding. The room was on the small side as it was the attic of the Wilson BUT I was there to sleep after long work days. The room was well set out with a window looking out to the coast, two chairs were placed near the window so I enjoyed my cup of tea on waking. The car park was large enough to afford plenty of spaces to choose from. The downstairs bar and restaurant looked to be very nice, however, I missed out on both as I was an early start and late finish so also missed out on breakfast

The dinner was very good but the breakfast did not have an alternative to cow's milk eg. soya milk for vegans/lactose allergies. The shower was either very hot or cold. There was no hook on the back of the bathroom door to hang your towels/clothes. It was very cold and rainy outside 10C so cold in the room in the morning.

This is a lovely pub just outside Whitby in a nice quiet area. It is clear that the pub and rooms have recently been renovated and they’ve done a good job. Breakfast was lovely. The only small issues were that the bed was squeaky and the shower was not as powerful as we would have liked. All in all a good one night stay.

An attractive, tastefully decorated property in a quiet no through road near Whitby. An excellent room but had issues with the shower unfortunately. Eventually worked out that it had to be on eco mode ( weak shower spray) as variable water pressure caused the temperature to fluctuate massively. Rooms don’t contain any info about meal times or checkout time or other helpful info such as Wi-Fi. Again, no full breakfast menu on display so had to play a game of yes/ no with the waitress with regard to what was available. No hash browns but you can have black pudding! Also I asked for poached eggs at both breakfasts and twice I got fried eggs! Maybe not capable of doing poached eggs? This place has got plenty of potential but seems to be missing some important details. A great location and beautifully presented. Hope that they address these issues as they can be easily resolved.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at The Wilson Arms. It’s a lovely little Restaurant/Pub/B&B. Tastefully decorated with modern touches although keeping some of the old charm. Everything was finished to a great standard and our room was very comfortable with comfy bed and good shower. It was an excellent base for exploring Whitby and the Yorkshire Moors. We used the P&R into Whitby which had, conveniently, just started running again for the Season Breakfast provided a good choice of cereal and cooked items and cooked and presented very well. We ate at the Inn on two nights (too full after fish & chips in Whitby the middle night!) and this was also good. The owner (Dawn?) and I think her name was Zoe, were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Altogether a lovely stay and we would definately recommend.

We arrived very late but were met on arrival by friendly faces who were eager to help us after a long day, nothing was to much and we immediately said to each other ‘what a great bunch of people’
We arrived very late but were met on arrival by friendly faces who were eager to help us after a long day, nothing was to much and we immediately said to each other ‘what a great bunch of people’

Extremely helpful regarding an early check in. Lovely spacious room and large shower room. Kettle and tea/coffee items replenished. Great breakfast. All in a lovely pub with friendly staff. Was a super stay just above Whitby with car park in quiet surroundings and view of Whitby Abbey. Would most definitely stay here again.

To be honest, we didn’t receive a ‘Great to see you again’ Breakfast was served by an unfriendly lady, a robot would have been friendlier. My friends order included beans which was not requested. When asked for more coffee, it was not ‘yes of course’ but she seemed surprised that we asked and said ‘I will be with you in a moment’ as she was clearing the table next to us.

Went to check in. All the doors were locked. Check in time was after 3pm. We arrived just after 4pm. Hubby was handed a key and was told they don’t open until 6.30pm. Okay not a problem. We went out. Got back at 9.15pm to find that food was served between 6.30 and 8.30. The only place I saw this was on the menu. So after a long drive from North Wales we went to bed after not eating. The room was ok as long as you didn’t look at the stripes on the carpet. It was a minor thing but they weren’t straight. The beds were tiny. The size where you have to wake up to turn over or you end up on the floor. I’m 5’4” and 112lbs. My husband called the room Garage Sale Decor. We don’t know what time breakfast was or if there was any. The pub bit was locked. No one around so we left the key in the room and left. It was about 7.30. Never again. I have never felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable walking into a place.

Great peaceful place with beautiful views. We were well looked after and the owners made it possible for us to check in and use the room before our official check in time which was really helpful. Breakfast was lovely.

Lovely B&B in an excellent location for Whitby 10 mins from the park and ride. Breakfast is great and we also had an evening meal which we really enjoyed. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room had everything you need and very comfortable. You forget you’re above a pub as never heard a thing. Would highly recommend

The room was very clean and the bathroom too. The staff were really nice and friendly. Our bed was really comfy . It's in a quiet little village not far from Whitby. As out of season it was very quiet. Ate in restaurant, was a really good menu. Would recommend

When we got there we discovered it was about 5miles from Whitby centre which meant we couldn't go anywhere and have a meal and drink because we would have to drive back. So we found a hotel in Whitby town centre

The Wilson Inn is a lovely pub and restaurant with really comfortable rooms and decor. We stayed for 2 nights and everything was so clean including the modern bathroom . Staff were friendly and meals were excellent including the breakfast. Only a couple of miles from Whitby and lots of other places of interest, including the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway and Goathland. Would definitely recommend.

We have stayed at the Wilson Arms a number of times and everything is just perfect. Lovely and helpful staff. Always smiling and happy. The rooms are always comfortable, clean and have everything you need. The bar area is very nicely decorated and the range of drinks should suit everyones taste, it does ours. The menu is quite large and definitely value for money. Cooked and presented perfectly. Breakfast is always worth waiting for. You won't get better. Already planning our next booking.

The room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was incredible,cooked with fine quality ingredients.No need for a lunch after eating the very generous portions. Restaurent food was superb.Again quality and cooked to perfection. Staff very pleasant and welcoming. Highly recommended,for anyone with their own transport, as in a quiet area outside Whitby.

Ours was a last minute booking but we were so glad you had we found the Wilson arms. All at the Wilson arms were most welcoming and joyous. Everything about the place was superb. The food offering was excellent and the breakfast was really lovely and plenty of it. The room we stayed in was so comfortable and it was so quiet without any noise interference at all. We will definitely be going back and cannot recommend it enough, the Sunday lunch was so nice and the bar offering was good too

Loved the location and the rooms were nicely decorated. The staff were friendly except for the one at breakfast who was a bit abrupt! The dinner was very good but the breakfast did not have an alternative to cow's milk eg. soya milk for vegans/lactose allergies. The shower was either very hot or cold. There was no hook on the back of the bathroom door to hang your towels/clothes. It was very cold and rainy outside 10C so cold in the room in the morning.

An attractive, tastefully decorated property in a quiet no through road near Whitby. An excellent room but had issues with the shower unfortunately. Eventually worked out that it had to be on eco mode ( weak shower spray) as variable water pressure caused the temperature to fluctuate massively. Rooms don’t contain any info about meal times or checkout time or other helpful info such as Wi-Fi. Again, no full breakfast menu on display so had to play a game of yes/ no with the waitress with regard to what was available. No hash browns but you can have black pudding! Also I asked for poached eggs at both breakfasts and twice I got fried eggs! Maybe not capable of doing poached eggs? This place has got plenty of potential but seems to be missing some important details. A great location and beautifully presented. Hope that they address these issues as they can be easily resolved.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautifully decorated pub. We had a beautiful room with amazing views. Food was amazing and the breakfast was excellent quality. Lovely staff very helpful. Will definatly visit again and will reccomend to friends.

I booked our engineer in for a nights stay, he has said it's the best place he's stayed in a long long time. It was lovely and clean and the food was lovely and fresh, and the pub next door was very nice.

The room was very clean , the one thing that could have improved it was a fan during the heat wave . Staff were very helpful and friendly The breakfast was very good , freashly cooked and quality ingredients. Maybe offer fruit as an alternative to cereal
