Limited parking and narrow streets. The toilet in the room wasn't flushing and nobody seemed to care. The street lamp directly outside my window meant I could not sleep due to bright room. I understand it's a 3 star B&B, but it was lacking basic amenities.

The landlady is very welcoming and works hard to make sure everyone is comfortable and well fed. The building is very old and so is the village of Buckfastleigh. It makes a good base to explore Dartmoor.The parkiing is fine overnight and is free between 6pm and 9am. You then have to move your car or pay for short term parking. Very reasonable room rates .

We received a wonderful warm welcome and the same level of friendly hospitality throughout our stay. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the company of locals in the pub. We thoroughly recommend this as place to stay, eat or just have a drink in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

A lovely local pub with local customers. Very friendly. Good food. Most comfortable bed I have slept in for years. Parking right behind pub and free from 6pm to 9am (10am Sundays). Wet room excellent.

The Globe is a great pub/ bed and breakfast. The room we had was large and clean with a en-suite shower room. The breakfast was excellent and you can choose what you like from their cooked breakfast list the night before.The village of Buckfastleigh is very nice and you have the Abbey and moors on your doorstep. Great value.

Jane and the time made us most welcome, had a great meal in the evening with a pint in the bar, lovely breakfast, all in all a perfect five star stay.

The bar staff, land lady, locals were lovely. If I am down in the area again I will 100% stay here the food was lovely, the beer was good and I felt at home down south. ( I am from West Yorkshire)

Friendly welcome and room was comfortable but very basic. Bathroom is a wet room and drainage is poor so had to sweep the water by foot in the direction of the drain as it was flooding. Thin walls between rooms so can hear guests in their bathroom. For a couple of nights it was fine!

Fantastic stay. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The food was outstanding, I ate both breakfast and dinners here. Loads of vegetarian options. All of the staff were so accommodating, friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay again, throughly recommend

I was in Devon for just a one night stay at The Globe. The bed was super comfy and tbe bedroom and bathroom were very clean. The cooked breakfast was delicious and to much for me to manage.

Poor quality, a lot of pubic hairs in bathroom, toilet brush was disgusting, radiator cover hanging off and pillows were horrendous. Not to mention the fact they ‘opened’ for breakfast at 8am, we were met with a locked door from the upstairs accommodation no answer when knocking. Oh but it’s ok because you can leave through the fire escape. Would definitely not recommend.

Nice quirky old style pub room which was surprisingly large. Breakfast was excellent. 'Wet Room' did look like it could flood the room easily. maybe it won't but I used a towel to ensure it didn't.

Check was fast and easy. I was put in room 1 which kind of sat above the beer garden and so it was noisy. I requested a room change for something quieter and they gave room 4 which was perfect. Nice and quiet and got a good nights sleep. My only criticism was that although there was tea and coffee there was no milk options so had to go buy milk and there was no shower gel or soap in the toilet shower area. Easy fix as a coop next door. I suppose I could have asked but they already been accommodating with the room change and the cost was so insignificant for a pint of milk and shower gel. Seemed fair

Facilities were appropriate for the price charged. Service was friendly and breakfast good quality. The addition of a wet room to a bedroom not designed for it meant the bathroom door would not fully open as it clashed with the bed. Other than that OK

Check was fast and easy. I was put in room 1 which kind of sat above the beer garden and so it was noisy. I requested a room change for something quieter and they gave room 4 which was perfect. Brillinat local place. Fanatstic landlady who does all the food herself. Would highly recommend and let us sit here until we were ready to go. Friendly, welcoming, just lovely.

Jane the host was lovely and she was the cook as well and food was delicious the inn is over 150years old so you will have to take that into account but we had a great stay and would recommend

Limited parking and narrow streets. The toilet in the room wasn't flushing and nobody seemed to care. The street lamp directly outside my window meant I could not sleep due to bright room. I understand it's a 3 star B&B, but it was lacking basic amenities.

The landlady is very welcoming and works hard to make sure everyone is comfortable and well fed. The building is very old and so is the village of Buckfastleigh. It makes a good base to explore Dartmoor.The parkiing is fine overnight and is free between 6pm and 9am. You then have to move your car or pay for short term parking. Very reasonable room rates .

The property is very old and as such has lots of original quirks, such as uneven floors but this all adds to the charm of the building. The landlady and staff were very welcoming and friendly, approachable and bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable.

A lovely local pub with local customers. Very friendly. Good food. Most comfortable bed I have slept in for years. Parking right behind pub and free from 6pm to 9am (10am Sundays). Wet room excellent.

The Globe is a great pub/ bed and breakfast. The room we had was large and clean with a en-suite shower room. The breakfast was excellent and you can choose what you like from their cooked breakfast list the night before.The village of Buckfastleigh is very nice and you have the Abbey and moors on your doorstep. Great value.

Nice quirky old style pub room which was surprisingly large. Breakfast was excellent. 'Wet Room' did look like it could flood the room easily. maybe it won't but I used a towel to ensure it didn't.

Fantastic stay. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The food was outstanding, I ate both breakfast and dinners here. Loads of vegetarian options. All of the staff were so accommodating, friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay again, throughly recommend

We had a great nights stay at the Globe. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was pub food but amazing. The best Hunters Chicken ever and the steak and ale pie had huge chunks of meat. Breakfast was good too. The bed was very comfortable with a good nights sleep b

Jane the host was lovely and she was the cook as well and food was delicious the inn is over 150years old so you will have to take that into account but we had a great stay and would recommend

The Globe is the most warm welcoming place. From the first step in its friendly, clean, comfortable place to stay and the food both for dinner and breakfast was outstanding. Would recommend to all, and will definitely stay again.

The bar staff, land lady, locals were lovely. If I am down in the area again I will 100% stay here the food was lovely, the beer was good and I felt at home down south. ( I am from West Yorkshire)

It was not inviting We had not ordered breakfast apparently but we did manage to get a good breakfast the first day. We ordered breakfast for day 2 but we could not find a single person there between 8-9 when breakfast was The place was rundown although the room was quite clean the other areas were not, someone had been writing in the dust in the hallway and dirty cups were left on the top in the hallway for the whole of our stay The outside was very shabby. Dated pub with rooms in desperate need of a refurb. Dining area crowded with tables & chairs. Outside area very tired & unwelcoming. Breakfast was enormous, great value but too much on plate. Bedroom was dusty & wet room no ventilation. Town closes early & no taxis. Ideal location but sadly would not recommend.

Das Zimmer war bei unserer Ankunft um 5pm leider noch nicht fertig, wurde dann aber fix gemacht. Bequemes Bett, hilfsbereite Gastgeber, gute Dusche - wir waren auf einer Radtour auf der Durchreise. Dafür ok.
