Baymont by Wyndham Albany MN

Hotel was okay as far as cleanliness. However, there was no ice in ice machine, and parts were lying nearby. Almost no food left for breakfast 45 minutes before end of scheduled serving time, and no one monitoring breakfast area. We had to go elsewhere to get the bare minimum of breakfast food items. Very disappointing stay.

The pool area had worms around it and in the hot tub. The timer on the hot tub was broken. When we asked for extra pillows and blankets we were told we couldnt have any. Only 3 towels and one washcloth was given in the room for 5 people and we asked for more and given just 2 towels but no more washcloths. Beds were comfortable though.

This clean and comfortable motel is fantastic! They have a very nice indoor pool, a wonderful hot tub, and it is walkable to downtown and other amenities. The rooms are fine and ours had a brand new bathroom, including a shower with wonderful water pressure, always important for us after a day of bike riding. The motel is very close to the lake wobegone trail and you can literally ride about 2 minutes from the motel and be on the trail. They even have a good continental breakfast. This will be our go to motel when we're in the vicinity of Albany!

The fitness center really needs much improvement. It’s scary because there’s no room for error if a user falls of the treadmill.

The hot tub was not working very well and was missing at least one tile, could probably use alittle work. We really like this hotel location and convenience. Staff was great.

Hotel is badly understaffed, pool was closed and breakfast was pathetic. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

This was not a bad place to stay for the price. Beds were good! Check-in was easy! Pool definitely has a lot of chlorine and hot tub was not working. There were plenty of places to choose to eat around this hotel!

The only thing that was an inconvenience for us was there is no elevator. Other than that it was a nice stay.

The ice machine didn't work 2 out of the 3 days we stayed there. There were never enough towels at the pool. They didn't even offer to clean our room when we were gone for the day

property was adequate. no coffeemaker in room, but we didnt need it. no non-slip mat for bathtub. had to be careful while showering, as was very slippery. also only one hook in bathroom for hanging towels. no other rods or hooks in the room. my sister's room had soap scum buildup under metal drain in shower.

Bathroom had hair all over, toilet had poop streaks in it, microwave was full of food, beds suck. Staff hardly spoke English, not friendly, and the FREE WIFI advertised was not a thing. It was not working. And there was no pool towels.

The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The room and facility were very clean. It is a dated property and it is time for furniture to be replaced. Our room probably had not been used for a while and had a musty smell. Air fresheners and air movement helped quite a bit.

This stay by far exceeded my expectations. The pool area is really nice, the hotel overall was very clean, and our room was immaculate. I will stay there again! The people working were very nice and the owners are on site and very nice as well.

Very clean little hotel. I travel a lot and can say this was one of the most beautiful pools and hot tubs anywhere I have been. The temperature in the pool area was nice and warm, and the pool itself was not too cold, and the area was very clean. Hard for a hotel to keep a pool just right. The room was very clean and it was quiet. If I lived in the Twin Cities, I would definitely use this hotel as a getaway for a weekend, just to use the pool! Additionally, although I'm not a golfer, there is a very well manicure golf course about two blocks away. I don't know if it's public or private, but it's lovely!

The carpet in room was ripped up near the door. The furniture is very outdated. They have done some improvements since the last time I was here.bathrooms were updated with new lighted mirrors, soap dispensers in shower. The continental breakfast still doesn’t have many options. Very, very basic choices. OJ tasted bad, like maybe old. Hotel is clean, just very dated.

Little bit of interstate noise but overall very good

Since it was so close to the highway it was a bit noisy.

One night stay. Friendly staff moved me from 2nd floor to ground floor (there is no elevator). Room recently redone. Microwave, fridge in room. Bathroom show has no shelf (hotel, you can get shower caddies that hang from nozzle). Breakfast. I just needed coffee. Was a bit thing if you wanted more.

The air conditioner wasnt that great.

Room was facing the highway and you could hear all the traffic throught the night. Besides that the stay was nice.

Room was really dark. No lighting. Like we were in a speakeasy. Also no coffee maker in the room, no cups, and no bath mat so we had to use a towel. That last one is not a huge deal. Probably wont stay here again.

Got a jetted tub suite it was ok for the most part could just use a little updating….needed to do laundry and that was out of order that night and so was the WiFi…no big deal so we made the best of it😊8/10 would def stay again if I was in the area…

Very clean and reasonably priced hotel. Convenient location right off the highway ramp. They also accommodated our request for a ground level room. The only complaint is that we booked a room with 2 queen-sized beds, but they were actually full-sized, not queen. We asked the front desk person who said they were queens and they don't even have fulls. It's likely he doesn't know the difference abs that they do have both sizes. We measured, our beds were full-sized.

Overall a nice place to stay. Everything clean. A pretty good selection of breakfast items. Nice pool area open until midnight. Just an unusual check-in experience. We arrived and stood in front of the reception desk. The employee there was facing us but did not look up at us or acknowledge our presence for a full several minutes as he appeared to be counting through a stack of papers. When he did finally acknowledge us, he got our info and directed us to our room but did not tell us the hours for breakfast or pool as would typically be done. Not a big deal, easily remedied.

After hours stuck in traffic in Indianapolis and Minneapolis, we were ready for a relaxing evening. The minute I walked in the door here, I knew this was the right choice. At check in, Kathryn was very welcoming, professional, and kind. Our room was quiet and clean. Breakfast and the hot tub were nice amenities. We will be back!

Service was mediocre at best. Seemed friendly at checkin but very short afterwards. The room was as pictured minus the scuff marks on the walls. Curtains not hanging right. Ac units being questionable operating order. The room was not cleaned other then fresh linens. Hair in the bathroom, microwave and fridge not wiped out. Floor with food on it and some random kids toy by the bed. Seemed disconnected and uncomfortable to stay more then 2 nights at best.

I’ve stayed at this location several times before, was a decent place to stay but theyhave some new staff that are very unpleasant to deal with, you better not make a mistake by accidentally booking the wrong week like I did or they’ll treat you like you’re the scum of the land. I mistakenly selected on hotels.com Wednesday the 12th instead of the 19th and I had no idea I made a mistake until the hotel charged my card the evening of the 12th so I called the hotel immediately and the man that answered the phone was quite rude and refused to help so I called the next morning and spoke to the office manager named Katherine and explained my situation and first she told me the man from the night before was new and has already received multiple complaints prior to this incident, she offered to either refund me or told me I could use those funds for type night I needed (wed 19th) so today I call to make sure everything is good and the msn that answered the phone that you could barely understand with a heavy Indian accent told me Katherine wasn’t there and he wasn’t going to do anything for me they I missed my reservation last week and that I would have to pay again if I wanted to stay there m. Greed is obvious at this location and have no sympathy or care for an innocent mistake, the owner of this location appears to rather lose repeat business than make things right for a one off mistake.

The room we were assigned was not made up when we got to it, needed to return to desk to get a different one. New one had vacant spot under lamp where chair should be, but we were tired and didnt seek yet another room. The young man at the desk couldn't have been more accomodating and pleasant.

I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights on Expedia and the motel cancelled 1 of them and then tried to tell me Expedia cancelled them. When i contacted Expedia they still showed i had 2 rooms for 2 nights. So the guy at the motel lied to me.The motel did have 1 room available for the 1st night but i got charged full price and the 2nd night we didnt have a room. Expedia offered to get me a room somewhere else but we had 12 rooms booked there and I didnt want to stay an hour away from the rest of my family.

We actually couldn’t stay because the hotel couldn’t access our reservation. We gave him the reservation number & hotels.com even spoke with him over the phone, but he insisted that our name didn’t come up on his screen. He just kept saying that. While we were trying to get that squared away (for over an hour as he argued), he booked his last rooms available. Hotels.com came through with a nicer hotel for us after a total of 2 hours dealing with this mess

Very nice, clean hotel in a small cute town. DQ, A & W and gas station close by along with a family restaurant next door.

This is our go to motel when we are in the St. Cloud area. Easy to get to. Friendly and helpful personnel. Eco-friendly and economic.

Nice, clean, easy stop off I-94, the only thing that could be a little better were the breakfast options. Overall very staisfied.

Great location. Close to food and gas. Clean and quiet. Nice pool.

Staff very friendly, cleanliness was fine. Breakfast was very poor: soggy bagels, weak coffee, only cold boiled eggs(no hot eggs/meat), pancakes were fine but took forever to make 1 small one, no fruit.

Very clean and presentable. Beautiful lobby. Breakfast was sparse. Instant coffee machine.

Pet friendly but the potty area was terrible- Not much grass - more dirt. Breakfast was disappointing- no scrambled eggs or bacon or sausage- no juice options or yogurt.

Room was very nice. Sometimes the staff was absent. Especially at checkout. I had questions but couldn’t get any response to ringing the bell. Had to wait quite awhile. We stayed for three nights and had the same selection every morning. Biscuits and gravy and waffles. Very limited.

Excellent building and staff. My only dislike was that the breakfast was mediocre. The pancake machine was not working properly and the breakfast was advertised as having eggs but they were hard boiled eggs and not scrambled. I saw several people enter dining area, peruse the offerings and then leave. Otherwise, a very good place to spend the night.

The hotel itself was very warm and pool area as well, uncomfortable. The room was ok for temperature. The drain was very slow to drain. Breakfast was very slim, not many options.

Check in was quick and simple. The room was spacious and clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. We were in Albany to ride the Lake Wobegon trail, so the hot tub was very relaxing after the day's ride. The breakfast was just continental, but there was a good assortment: fruit, yogurt, cereal, bagels, breakfast burritos, and pancakes. There is a bakery close by, if you need pastries. There wasn't any maid service for the two nights we were there. It wasn't a problem for us but might be for others. Otherwise, I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
