This is a beautiful historic inn. My poor experience started with repeated calls from staff and eventually the owner. They wanted to move me to the Ist floor rather than my reserved room on the third floor. I thought maybe they looked at my age and thought I couldn't manage stairs. Then before he hung up, the manager said, well you got a very low price ! When I arrived, the room was right nest to the front door on the very noisy sidewalk and I told the manager I wanted to move. While I was waiting, she moved someone elase in the same situation, but informed me no not at my rate. She did offer to move me to the basement. I was a room with concrete floors, shower across the hall and toilet in the hall around the corner. NOT acceptable. She later came and said i could move into my original room the next day. I got very litte sleep the first night. I did move and it was a lovely quiet room with a bigger bathroom. I found them to have quite an important opinion of themselves. This was not a cheap rate to me ($800 for two nights). Its a good location. My "rate didn't include breakfast but I paid for it and it was very good.

We had a very nice stay at Cleveland House. It is a charming place that takes you back to another time. The room and bathroom were very nice and the breakfast is wonderful.

This B&B is in an excellent location with an exceptional breakfast. Room was clean and I felt like I was living in the era of Ezra Stiles and Ida Lewis. Owner Rick Farrick was very accommodating of our needs and I love that he’s on property if you need anything. Thanks, Rick!

Perfectly fine accommodation in this historic property. Great location. Good parking. Free breakfast but coffee tasted terrible. In our bedroom, the carpet needs to be replaced or deeply cleaned as it was well worn. AC worked great. Bed was comfortable. Overall a good stay for the price given location and season.
