Comfort Suites Troy-I75

Nice stay overall. The gym is subpar. But I see some renovations going on.

Uncleanly, pool down for maintenance but not advertised when booked, was told Id get a refund, then they changed their mind. Took 6 kids expecting to swim to a hotel overnight for their christmas gift on new years eve. Show up and the pool is unavailable, and the suite we supposed to have, had a leak of some kind and were moved to 2 rooms. I was never informed before checking in that i could cancel our reservation to get a refund. So we checked in and hoped we'd make the best of it. When entering the 2 other rooms, the wooden area at the entry was very sticky, and we could see bits of trash on the floor and one on a piece of furntiture. Rooms were very cold, and found one room had a window left open. Smoke detector was beeeping so I asked front desk to change battery. He did come change it but it continued to beep. An hour in, We ultimately decided not to stay and checked out. Front desk said i could call next day and speak to manager about a refund. When i called the next day, manager made it sound like a refund was no.problem but had to go through expedia firat since that was where the reservation originated. Started that process, and was told id hear something in 24-72 hrs. Messaged back after 3 of not hearing anything and had to ask for another update only to hear a couple days later, they changed their minds and were " sticking to their policy" VERY DISAPPOINTING! B

I booked the hotel so the kids can swim in the pool and we use the gym, when we arrived there, both were out of service, staff didn’t offer anything, it is very noisy with very loud people and no quiet time. Definitely not good if you plan to get good sleep

I booked 2 rooms, requesting they be adjoining or side by side. Upon arrival, one family was placed on the first floor, the second family was placed on the second floor. The guest services rep quickly resolved this. She also informed us the pool was closed due to renovations for the foreseeable future. I suggested they remove that amenity from their list until it is fixed, as that was one of the reasons we booked this hotel. It also seemed the pool was running, as it was full of water and the waterfall was running...? Oh well. When we arrived to our room the door was propped open with the safety latch, but everything seemed clean and in order. The breakfast was pretty decent and well stocked. The elevator seemed a little out dated and somewhat sketchy... it jerked a LOT when it moved or stopped. This is the second time we have stayed here for the Troy football tournaments and its quick to get to the fields and other necessities in the area.

We ended up not staying there had to find somewhere else was not told there pool was shut down the lady at the desk did cancel our reservation but it was very inconvenient i had to to to find somewhere else we where there for a football tournament for my 11 year old grandson which we had with us i always stay at compirt suites i was not happy

Staff was nice and breakfast got better after the first day. Room was clean. Elevator was broken the day I got there and was fixed the next day. I had to carry everything up to the third floor. Stayed 1 week so I had more then just a little bag.

Newer property by several dining options and easy to get to off highway. The gentleman in charge of the breakfast area is very kind and works hard to keep it up. Unfortunately there are quite a few construction workers staying here who bring mud in on their boots so the halls often had clumps of dirt thru them and not sure of pool cleaning schedule but know two days there were dead bugs in the bottom and I don’t mean just one or two Also lguest laundry did not work and some doors you could not open from outside with key card which was tough if you parked there.

For starters the pool and fitness area were closed which was not mentioned when booking. The most annoying part was our sleeping arrangements. On the site it says king bed with DOUBLE pull out couch. It was a single pull out couch so we had to have 3 people in the king bed. The shower curtain is hung so high that it barely reaches the tub so when showering all the water pours onto the floor.

Breakfast was included- eggs and sausage or bacon, belgian waffles, breads/pastries, cereal, yogurt and fruit. There is a nice pool but it was closed so never got to use it.

The stay overall was fine but the elevator was disgusting. I took photos. Also the day we were scheduled to leave they were knocking on our room to clean the room. The room itself was clean.

Nice property with great staff, but it is showing some wear that needs some attention. Little things like the carpet getting into the elevator is torn at the door edge (trip hazard), the carpet in the hallways is really showing wear and dirt, and the only ice machine working was on the third floor. The room was very clean, and the A/C was the coldest I have ever experienced. Staff all VERY nice and helpful. Would stay here again, and would recommend it to other travelers..

Very clean

Well kept, quiet, clean, and convenient.

We booked this hotel because of the pool for the kids. When we checked in, they had a sign saying the pool wasn’t open. This should have been mentioned at booking or an email sent by the hotel. Not very clean. Kids found gummies on the floor. Could have been laced with something. Got flushed before the kids ate them.

We had to change our room because it was dirty with food and toe nail clippings on the furniture. Our second room had a filthy frig with old crusted spills and even a used plastic spoon. There was also dried crusted food on the furniture, and food stains/or blood on the comforter. I did take pictures to verify the condition of the 2nd room we were given. We asked for disinfectant to clean it ourselves, as there was no maintenance on duty for the weekend. The stopper in the sink was broken and you had to use your finger nail to pry it up. We finally took it out, went to ask that they please fix it, which they did not do. I would not stay here again. The front staff girls were very kind, and apologetic , but did not offer to wipe up the frig. We have stayed at Comfort Inns in the past and never had this kind of experience. I truly hope management addresses their housekeeping to improve cleanliness.

We always stay at this hotel when we just need a night or two away. Never have problems with our stay or with staff. Always clean, no bugs air conditioning is a little loud but nothing we couldnt handle.

Construction - noisy!

I stayed for 1 night. The property is right off the highway. Restaurants are walkable as is a Wal-Mart. The room was very modern and clean. Breakfast was adequate, something for everyone.

The room was lovely, very clean, breakfast was good with options. Really loved that our room had 4 queen sized beds. Had to go back to the front desk because our keys suddenly stopped working. Biggest downside was how old the tv was, the remote hardly worked and we could not stream anything just had to watch what was on locally. Parking lot was an ice skating rink death trap but was grateful for the use of the luggage cart.

Room was clean and very comfortable.

Lovely and comfortable. Close to restaurants. Only complaint was the upstairs tennant who eas very noisey and had concrete shoes.

Easy check-in and check-out. Comfortable beds, lots of TV channel selections. Breakfast was good, would probably recommend they have biscuits as well. But all in all was a great stay

Pillows are way to small. Kind of brings down everything else that was great because I constantly woke up with no pillow when I turned over.

We were not told the pool was out of service and we were there for a week The outside patio area was unkept and smelled due to an overflowing trash can Upon checking there were no rooms clean and ready so we waiting in the lobby for almost an hour and the receptionist was not approachable There was a community member loitering at the front desk talking to the staff while we waited for our room

The pool was the reason we selected this hotel. We were informed by Tracy Jones who boasted about being the GM and regional GM that it was unavailable due to renovations and we should have checked the website to know this information. It was NOT updated on the website. Upon entering our room it smelled like a locker room and dried flower pedals under the desk. The bathtub had soap scum. We asked for a different room but was told that was not possible. We could not be refunded for our 2-night stay. On the bright side there are two very wonderful employees there: Stephen who oversees the morning breakfast and Paula at the front desk who is compassionate and helpful. It was my birthday and my first vacation in 15 years. I would never recommend staying at Comfort Suites in Troy, Ohio.

We have stayed there several times and this was the best. Front desk was class A. The man who made breakfast on Saturday did it an hour earlier so the bicycle riders could eat and get downtown to start races on time. Thanks to everyone.

We were happy with everything except check in. The lady behind the desk was on a personal phone call and having a friendly conversation with the person on the other end. She did not acknowledge us but talked quietly after we arrived. She took time to chat with another worker that was leaving for the day, but we waited for 10 minutes before she checked us in.

Staff allowed us to check in early so we could get ready for a wedding. Then the next morning they allowed us to visit with friends in the breakfast area. Staff was friendly and accommodating!

So easy to access from the I-75! One quibble about Expedia. There is an Outback Streakhouse and a Texas Roadhouse Grill literally a few steps from the door of several hotels and yet it is not mentioned when booking and evaluating the stop. Other restaurants are mentioned that are a distance from the hotels. Odd. Great place to stop for sure!

Great room for the night while in town for a baseball tournament. Good rates and convenient dinner options within walking distance. Highly recommend

We were in town for the eclipse so the hotel was very full. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The pool was a little too chilly for us as but there were plenty of people that didn’t seem to mind. There is a Texas road house right across the street and another restaurant I can’t remember. Right behind a Walmart shopping plaza. I don’t think you can beet the convenience of the location everything you can think of is technically walkable or a 2-3 minute drive.

Excellent accomodations. We were extremely impressed by service, cleanliness and cost. We have stayed in Comfort Inns before, but this was by far the best! I was particularly impressed with the breakfast buffet. Each of the fruits, breads and sweets were individually wrapped for clean handling. Lovely!

I enjoyed how nice and clean the property was. The hotel was quiet. Staff was nice and professional. The breakfast options could have been better.

Comfortable bed, had an upholstered chair and couch in addition to the desk chair, room was clean as was the bathroom. Breakfast was mediocre; they did have a waffle baker, which is always a plus.
