Very lovely hotel. We enjoyed the relaxing pool / spa area. The tunnels underneath the residences were great to not have to go out into the cold to get to the main building and spa. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend.

The Falkenstein Grand is one of the best locations I have ever stayed at (we have traveled extensively all over Europe). Family friendly and the property has one of the best views overlooking Frankfurt. We felt we were entering a fairy tale of how beautiful the surroundings and hotel is. The food is great and if your family (ours was a family of 5) is into relaxing, hiking and exploring then this is the place to stay! The staff is the best and very accommodating including the management. Car is a must as this is a pretty remote area. We will be back for long stay at this location in the future and explore more of the wood trails and castles and forts behind the hotel. I give it 5 diamonds!

The hotel is beautiful. The surrounding areas does not have much to do except hiking. The bad thing about this hotel is that it’s not handicap accessible. It seems that throughout Europe accessibility is not a main priority too many stairs not enough elevators.

Leider passen Anspruch (Preis) und Realität nicht mehr zusammen. Die Anlage ist in die Jahre gekommen und auch sonst stimmt einiges nicht mehr. Vielleicht als illustratives Beispiel: Als wir in 2017 dort waren haben wir ein Bild unserer Kinder im Spielplatz mit einem neuen Spielzeugbagger gemacht. Der Bagger ist immer noch aber mit nur noch drei Rädern, abgebrochner Schaufel, und verblassten Farben. Andere (und vielleicht relevantere Beispiele): Käse und Wurst beim Buffet haben bereits um 9:00 mächtig geschwitzt und sahen nicht mehr frisch aus, Teppiche in den Fluren sind schmutzig, Zimmerwände fleckig, Küche ohne Besteck/Teller, im Spa um 12:00 vergessen die Sauna anzumachen, etc. Peronal war immer freundlich bemüht (außer vielleicht der Notwendigkeit darauf hinzuweisen, dass wenn man über Expedia bucht man keine Bonvoy Vorteile hat). In der Zusammenfassung, es gibt einfach in der Zwischenzeit bessere Angebote in der Umgebung wo Preis und Leistung zusammenpasst.

The staff were very helpful and polite, the restaurant was fantastic and the room was beautiful. My only negative was that every time I tried to order room service, I had to call repeatedly for up to 30 mins in order to get an answer.

Der er ingen tvivl om at dette engang har været et velrenommeret fem stjerners hotel, men en del af dette er med tiden forsvundet. Vi kunne eksempelvis ikke på vores ankomst dag få eg bord til 5 i hotellets restaurant, kun efter tjeneren hastigt skubbede et par borde sammen og klemte en stol ind fir bordenden lykkedes det alligevel. Personalet virkede hektiske, til tider som om de skyndede på én. Da vi kom til morgenmad 2 time før den annoncerede sidste tid, var der flere ting der ikke længere noget tilbage af i buffeten - skuffende til den ekstra pris man betaler for det.
