Super 8 by Wyndham Hampton

This was BY FAR the worst hotel I've stayed in, both in cleanliness and friendless by staff. I checked in and went to my assigned room, which upon immediate entry I knew I couldn't stay there. The room was FILTHY - the bedspread had holes in it, tiles were broken as was furniture, dirt was all over the walls (including the cabinets above the fridge), hair was hanging from hangers and the air smelled and tasted so horrible - almost thick. I went downstairs and informed two women that I wouldn't be able to stay in that room, so they showed me a different room which was even worse. I asked if they could clean the room, and they said this WAS CLEAN. My partner made the mistake of sitting on the bed and left with 5 new bites from BED BUGS! I told them I would not be able to stay in this hotel and wanted a refund, to which they said no refunds available day of, only the day prior (because they know once people see this hotel they won't be able to stay there). I went back two days later to get a refund, was lied to by one of the previous women I spoke to and told the supervisor wasn't there until he walked through the door, and SHE mentioned cockroaches and how they don't have them (which I find interesting because I never said anything about cockroaches, only bed bugs, but their Google reviews sure do). Whatever you do, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Truly the worst experience of people knowingly stealing from you and expecting you to sleep in FILTH.

Bugs on the bathroom floor, old sheets with holes in them, terrible sewer smell. loud music and partying all night and still loud in the monring when we checked out at 7AM. Super 8/Wyndham should take their name off this place and Expedia should take it out your booking service. Person at check out didn't care or say thank you. Advertised breakfast and there was NO BREAKFAST!

Absolutely disgusting dirty soiled smelly

My room was not cleaned good I had to go back through & clean myself. Old wash cloth & bath mat was left from the last visitors. I told the guy at the front desk also showed him pictures he just said ok. Long black hair on the bed my hair is burgundy

HORRIBLE! Establishment needs to be shut down immediately. Shower curtain had extensive mold. Holes throughout the walls. Soda machine took my money had to fight with ownership about refunding $1.50 for a can soda. Health department needs to be notified. Damn shame.

Cons: Breakfast consisted of a bar and coffee. Room has not been cleaned up during our stay (we stayed for 3 nights). Towels and sheets were stained. Our non-smoking room had a smell.

We're here two different times and the first time I found roaches in my room which is cockroaches not weed roaches the second time I went here every time I walked out of the door I got locked out of my room on

The room was filthy, pot smoke in building. Very noisy, other consumers yelling in hallway at 3:30 AM. No breakfast, no coffee. Terrible stay in Hampton Virginia.

The property needs to update the rooms, I would not go there again for the price I paid.

It was very loud and noisy all night long. Was not able to get any sleep and we had to get up early the next day. Very disappointing. Staff at front desk did not seem to care about our concerns, just getting their money. We had to pay for a second night even though we didn't stay a second night. It was too dirty and noisy to stay another night. We decided to drive all the way home instead of stay. I would like refund on the second night.

This was not one of my best Super 8 experiences. The room was what I expected but I wasn't happy with noisy guests. There was loud talking during the late night hours. Also I was not happy with the breakfast. The breakfast consisted on coffee and granola bars. I've had a lot better at other Super 8 facilities. I will continue to stay at Super 8's but not this one.

They didn’t have any nonsmoking rooms on the first floor! They advertised a free breakfast but didn’t even have an area that used to be a breakfast area! Room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, A/C was loud and stunk.

The bed was soft and bathroom and loved the hot water.

I made a reservation for 2 consecutive nights. The first night was no problem. When I returned for the second evening my room had not been cleaned and the bed was not made. When I spoke to the manager he explained that they do not clean the room for a second night unless the customer requests it. I was very upset about this policy. If I pay for 2 nights I expect the room to be cleaned every time and ready with no hassle(I’m asking too much?). The manager was dead set to this policy that I’ve never heard of. I stayed at other hotels multiple nights and never encountered this. 2.)It was advertised that there was breakfast available in the morning. There was none. 3.)There were people arguing and fighting outside the hotel at 12:00AM 4.)When I went to leave there was people sleeping in their cars.

Took a $50 deposit at check in - i used cash - when i checked out woman at desk couldnt speak english and conveniently could not locate or understand i wanted my $ back - i couldnt wait all day for someone to help me and now repeated calls to hotel have gone unanswered so my loss Wont be staying there again or any super 8s

I recently stayed at the Super 8 Hotel in Hampton, Virginia, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon check-in, I was required to pay a $20 deposit, which was said to be a hold and would be released 24 hours after check-out. However, it actually took about a week to get the deposit back. The room itself had several issues: there were bugs, only one set of towels, no trashcan, and no toiletries. The attendant was very rude and showed no empathy regarding our concerns. Additionally, not only was there a $20 charge, but extra keys cost $2 each. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel due to the poor conditions and lack of customer service.

Pleasant stay, nice and friendly staff

Staff doesn’t check for trash or if linen needs to be changed out. If you ask they have an attitude because you want fresh towels and washcloths each day, they refuse to come and check the bed linen, you have to strip the beds yourself and take it to the front desk to have it changed. Breakfast is a protein bar and apple or orange juice that tastes like water and there may be coffee depends on who is working. Overall the costs is too much for the service you receive, I’ll never go back

Breakfast was not provided but was advertised. No housecleaning for the 11 days I was there. Surprise $50 damage deposit required at checkin (not refunded to date). Fleas in the hallway that got into my room - I think from long term residents placing their garbage in the hall at night. Desk was not manned for much of the day - had to call to get service. Not a smile in the place.

I didn’t even get to stay there and I’m glad that I didn’t horrible staff and if I didn’t have any grandson with me…..

Made a reservation weeks ago for a trip to see a show at the Hampton Coliseum. Initially was only for 2 nights but we decided to come down a day early, called (twice) last week asking to add a day before and they said no problem. We can even stay in the same room they said. My boyfriend gets there goes to check in they said there's no reservation but it's okay we have a room. Nbd, next think we know we are both being charged. He got charged when he checked in and our reservation( that they didn't have they said) got charged as well. So spoke to the lady at the front desk and told me I was wrong and put her fingers right in my face and said I'm talking to him (my boyfriend). Mind you my card was the one charged off the booking I made that they said they didn't have. Told me I was wrong repeatedly even while showing my bank statement. I then give her my reservation number and she goes oh you canceled. Clearly not since I'm here. Fought with us for over an hour yelling at us. Just for another guy to come help and tell her she's wrong and gave us back our entire stay. Incredibly rude, she said we get so many reservations it's hard to check in all of them. Okay? That's your job and how is that my problem. That's why I make a reservation online so I don't run into issues and be double booked and tell me I'm wrong to my face then swear in another language thinking we don't know what they are saying. Will never stay here again. It was incredibly gross and the free breakfast is a joke

close to the coliseum, you can walk if you have to there's a new neighborhood is safe. fast food next door at BK. and we went to the beach was beautiful buckrow

Terrible Motel. I never come back to this Motel nasty dirty smell bad and unsafe

Place is a dump. Location is terrible. Lied about breakfast. Smelled awful. Sink didn't drain. Never again.

The front desk could not make a decision. Threadbare towels, no cups in the room, no breakfast despite being advertised, people sleeping in a van in the parking lot, the room pictures do not match the room.

I'm was disappointed with the facility. The moment you enter the small lobby, the stench of smoke was sickening. The condition of the building is not great. It needs a good paint job. All the rooms doors and hallways need a good paint job. The lamp shades in the rooms are dirty. The bedspread had cigarette burned holes and spots with stains. Need better furniture in the rooms. The bath tub was yellow and brown. We were moved to another room. The whole place needs a good cleaning. No soap, hair shampoo, and conditioner in the dispensers. The tissue holder empty. If you're preparing for a guest, management should make sure these things are in place. I will not be using Super 8 by Wyndham any more. Management really needs to spruce up the place. Get a loan and invest in fixing up the place. The location was convenient for us. But, never again! ..

The area just didn't have a 'safe' feeling

i never checked into the hotel, as soon as i got out of my car a man accosted me demanding money. i went inside and told the desk clerk. that i could not stay there it was to unsafe. she also told me to cancel my stay online. when i tried to do this i was told they could not find my iteneray number. and i got charged any way.

The place needs a lot of work done. carpet was dirty, linen was dirty looking. Need new linen. I didn't like the ideal of the building was not secured. anyone could walk in. I didn't feel safe there. it was a hang out Motel for after hours.

When choose this property, it advertised free breakfast. In morning i asked for breakfast and was only given a granola bar to eat. Thank God i don't drink coffee because there was a gentleman next to me and found none, and it was only 7:50 am in the morning. Just terrible.

Breakfast consisted of only small granola bars. Bed listed as queen was slightly larger then a full. No clean-up services during stay (scheduled for 3rd day of stay - day we were scheduled to check out.) WOULD NEVER STAY AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN.
