The staff and the room were lovely. Parking was a bit precarious.

We LOVED staying at the Schoenburg castle. We visited with our 10 month old baby and rather than feel like an inconvenience for having a small baby, we were treated with such kindness. Every single member of the staff was so accommodating and helpful. Our room was out of a fairytale. The food bother dinner and breakfast were extraordinary. Such delicious options and some of the best food we had during our time in Germany. The grounds were so beautiful and we had the whole garden to ourselves. We just absolutely loved our stay here and hope to come back.

ベランダからライン川が見える4階の部屋に宿泊しました。駐車場からホテルフロントまでの石畳の急な坂はフロントに電話すれば電動カートで荷物は運んで貰える様でしたが、一番近いホテル直下の駐車場に駐車したので、約80mを自力で運びました。もちろん狭い急な階段を上がる4階の部屋までは従業員の方が運んでくれました。部屋にはチョコレートとシェリー酒が用意されクラシックな雰囲気の部屋に感動しました。夕食も素晴らしく、朝食のビュッフェも種類豊富で文句無しです。古城ホテルでの特別な体験を希望する人にはお勧めです。素晴らしい！

How can I put words on THE most incredible stay of our lives? This Castle has it all. We stayed in the double tower romantic room 23 and it was amazing. The view was breathtaking, the service was unmatched. We arrived at almost 11pm at night because of road and weather delays and they were kind enough to let us in. Nothing was overlooked when staying in this place. If you can stay two nights, do so, or get there right at check in. The museum is free to guests and there is an incredible garden (that we didn’t have time to see because we were SO late getting in from constant rain on the road) the bedroom design really made you feel you were back in time, but with electricity and an amazing bathtub. Bubble bath, shampoo & soap were all there, plus drinks. The breakfast was unmatched. Plenty of photo opportunities and everywhere you look you see a historical presence perfected. Can not thank the hotel staff enough for the evening, only regret is getting there late. For those with access needs you can only take the elevator so far up, the tower has steep stairs and so does the museum** make sure to communicate with them if you require a room that doesn’t have stairs speak with staff before booking. Food: breakfast was stunning, you will not go hungry a buffet full of options and a staff that is traditionally dressed, kind and helpful.

Flott hotell i en flott borg. Alt var veldig bra, både rommet, maten og selve eiendommen. Vi bodde i et rom i tårnet med balkong. Alt var veldig gjennomført, med himmelseng, safe bak bildet, stort bad, og hele det runde rommet er tidsriktig møblert. Flott utsikt over Rhinen og resten av borgen fra balkongen. God mat i restauranten, og frokosten var også meget bra. Borgen har en fin park, med mange forskjellige bygninger. Hotellet anbefales virkelig.

The grounds were the most beautiful place to get lost in. Our room connected to the ruins to enjoy drinks and the views and exploring. It was wonderful.

Spent one night at this wonderful property. Great staff and the balcony room we had was very spacious. The museum was a great feature that explained the history of the castle.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at this property in the Standard Room, Bathtub (this little cottage-like room was beautiful and quaint and the bathtub was very, very nice). We had breakfast both days in the hotel and it was lovely with great options for food, great service, and beautiful scenery. On arrival, we were checked into our room quickly and they offered to bring our bags in. There were delicious snacks and drinks in the room for us to enjoy and great dining and drink options offered through the day (for purchase). We spent hours in the guest-only garden exploring and hiking, spent hours sitting out overlooking the picturesque Rhine River that runs through Oberwesel. On our second day, we had arranged for a wine tour through the hotel with a local vintner and would rate it 5 stars! We did not get dinner at the hotel but the views from the dining area are unmatched. Overall this was a fun and very unique lodging experience that I’d recommend for anyone to stay in! It did help that we had a car and drove ourselves from the Frankfurt Airport - very convenient to so so! We made a day of our travel out and stopped by Burg Eltz too to fit more in!

An absolutely fantastic stay in this wonderful castle. Everything about it was perfect. The service was excellent, the food delicious and the gardens are a great way to spend a few hours. The museum was really interesting and we spent hours on the balcony watching the ships and trains passing along the Rhine valley.

What an amazing opportunity to stay at such an incredible castle! With breathtaking views from every window, restaurant and terrace, we were welcomed to explore and live in many different spaces throughout the property. Don’t miss the price fix dinner and magical gardens.

Amazing location and excellent staff. The room is looking lovely and the bed is comfortable. However, there are a lot of fruit flies (probably from the platter of apples) which makes the stay annoying as you’re always having to swap flies away! We advised the front desk and they came and sprayed something in the room which improved the situation. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the wait staff were amazing! I would strongly recommend this place.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and exceeded all of my expectations. It felt genuine rather than gimmicky with a lot of attention being put into the rooms and every experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was much larger than expected and well appointed the bed was comfortable. The restaurant served good quality and tasty meals which changed nightly to give a good variety. Transport within Oberwesel is a little limited so if you are arriving by train i strongly suggest arranging a taxi in advance. I can not recommend this hotel enough. We had a wonderful 3 night stay and would gladly return!

Very good hotel, but choose room with shower not bath

If you get a chance to stay in a castle, this is it. The rooms are amazing and the views are the best. The service, the staff and the property were all first rate. I highly recommend!

Hotel lindo! Ficamos na suíte principal e foi como voltar ao tempo! Tudo muito charmoso ! Nosso quarto tinha escadas e era enorme ! Foi uma noite muito especial !

Unglaublich schön, super Service von der Rezeption, über die Übernachtung und das Frühstück und nicht zu vergessen das perfekte 4 Gänge Menü. Wir haben uns noch nirgendwo so wohl gefühlt. Ein besonderes Lob an den jungen fantastischen Koch. Wir waren jetzt das zweite Mal da und kommen sicher wieder. Großes Kompliment und vielen Dank an das gesamte Team.

No air conditioning made the nights unbearable from a sleep perspective. Also, some of the staff were perhaps not meant for a service type employment. Others were really nice

The property is certainly unique. However, in my 25 years of visiting Germany 3 to 5 times per year this facility lacked typical German hospitality. Most of the staff were cordial and superficially friendly especially at breakfast. However, an older server in the dining room for dinner treated me like a second class citizen. There was room in the main room but I was seated all by myself separately.

Wonderful and helpful staff. Delicious cuisine. Great views. A once-in-a-lifetime experience.

릴렉스하기에 위치도 좋고 조용합니다. 독일 첫날 호텔로 정해서 잘 쉬었습니다. 저녁에 야외에서 맥주나 와인 마시기에 분위기가 좋았고, 아침 식사가 매우 훌륭했어요.

Sehr schön gelegen, wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Rhein. Das Frühstück war wirklich spitzenmässig. Das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wichtige Anmerkung: Bedingt durch Treppenaufgänge über mehrere Etagen sollte eine Portion Fitness vorhanden sein. Für ältere bzw. Menschen mit Gehproblemen sollten allenfalls die unteren Ebenen angepeilt werden. Das Gepäck wurde aufs Zimmer gebracht. Das Preisniveau ist entsprechend dem Ambiente angehoben.

Wunderbare Location mit zuvorkommenden Personal. Wir hatten auch das Restaurant getestet und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Premium-Suite war toll und sehr geräumig.

The view of the Rhine from the hill is the best. As for the food at the restaurant, both the fish and the lamb meat were a bit quirky, but I wonder if that's acceptable.

Fantastic dinner, great service and beautiful, scenic views. If you want to stay in a castle, or just looking for a luxurious stay, this should be your first choice.

This place was incredible! The staff went above and beyond! Our room was absolutely beautiful. Make sure to book a reservation for dinner as food was exceptional. Great stay!
