Great hotel. Air conditioning worked well in November to keep my wife cool for sleeping. Bed was really comfy and the property was lovely. Enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and coffee as well as the dinners. The short walk to the historic center and Cathedral de Santiago was great. It rained the entire time we were there but the service, food and comfortable room made up for not being to explore as much of the town as we wanted. Excellent and friendly service. Also great on site underground parking garage. Would highly recommend staying here.

Enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and coffee as well as the dinners. The short walk to the historic center and Cathedral de Santiago was great. It rained the entire time we were there but the service, food and comfortable room made up for not being to explore as much of the town as we wanted. Excellent and friendly service. Also great on site underground parking garage. Would highly recommend staying here.

El hotel es muy bonito pero tiene algunas deficiencias para ser un 5 estrellas. El gimnasio no debería tener ese título, puesto que está en el paso a la piscina y tiene dos maquinas. La piscina que me dijeron que era climatizada, esta fría, y alguien como yo que se baña sin problemas en aguas atlánticas, rehuso meterse en la piscina porque estaba demasiado fresca, claramente inferior a 20 grados. Aunque lo comenté no hubo ningún intento de solucionar el problema, salvo que lo anotarían. Por lo demás, la atención del chico joven de recepción del sábado por la mañana fue excepcional, al igual que la chica del servicio de desayuno, ahí si sentimos un servicio de calidad acorde con el precio y clasificación. Para mejorar recomiendo dotarlo de más equipamiento para poder disfrutarlo mejor, y que la piscina funcione. Instalaciones: 4/5 --> edificio muy bonito, todo impecable, pero faltan servicios Habitaciones: 4/5 --> cómodas y agradables Calidad de sueño: 5/5 Atención: variable, perfecta el chico joven de recepción de la tarde del sábado y la chica del servicio de restauración. Very helpful at check-in. Room was a good size, a/c worked well and plenty of light in the bathroom. Complementary water was a nice touch. Mattress on bed was very comfortable but the bed frame squeaked when either of us turned over, my only criticism, better bed frames needed. Breakfast was OK, warm food tended to be a bit tepid and scrambled eggs had a hard top on them due to standing under a heat lamp for too long. Nice swimming pool although I didn’t use it Overall a very comfortable pleasant stay. Thank you.

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel had an underground garage for parking. The common areas including gardens were well presented and staff helpful. The room was average size. Short walk in to the centre. The only downside was the noise from the service stairs adjacent to Room 120.

The hotel is far from a five star property. The common areas are very nice and the restaurant had great food. The location is slightly outside the center, which makes for a quiet location. Unfortunately, the rooms are dated. The bed was rackety, the pillows hard synthetic material and the bathtub/shower builder grade cheap materials, and not that well cleaned at that. We arrived late and had a restaurant reservation, so the person at the desk suggested we leave our luggage at the desk and go eat first - a reasonable suggestion, however, in most hotels of this caliber, they would bring the luggage to your room for you. Overall, we would not stay there again.

Room wasn’t available straight away even though we arrived after 3pm. Dusty rooms, dark, hair in bathtub, came back to the room to find a bug crawling in my suitcase. Just didn’t feel like a 5 star establishment. Terrible nights sleep, the noise from 5am was awful, furniture dragging, things being dropped, no soundproofing, heavy footed people upstairs. Away for 2 weeks driving across northern Spain, here for just one night and this was the most expensive per night, by far the worst. We had a small car so parking was easy, just be wary it gets busy and many people have big cars so it can be tight squeeze.

Overpriced; got mixed feelings on quality of staff's attention. My room was not made / cleaned for two days, first day was my fault, as I left the do not disturbed sign by mistake, but second day I made sure not to leave it, left at 9 am and came back 10 pm just to find my room exactly the same. A/C did not work well, had to open the three windows wide open. Room is noisy, wood floor, and I can tell staff cleans the rooms as the first day I stayed long in the morning I could hear the cleaning staff moving beds and stuff on the room above me. Our group booked three rooms, two of my friends got a courtesy Santiago cake on their rooms, which the Hotel if famous for, I did not really care about it, but when we were going out and passed by the front desk I told them that I did not get any, as a joke, and they apologized and said they were sending some so I would hae it by my return. Got to the room at night, nothing, this is what bothered me, the failure to make it right. Breakfast was very good, and restaurant and bar staff were very cordial and attentive. Bed was comfortable, bedsheets clean and relatively new. Plenty of hot water, boiling if you like, this is a plus. For what I paid, I did not feel the hotel was worth it, I have stayed in better places for less $. Not what you expect from an AC by Marriott hotel.

The pictures of the hotel do not reflect the reality. The rooms are dark and not pleasant. No shower cunicle as shower is in bath. Breakfast was o.k. nothing special. No help with cases or luggage. The man behind the desk was very helpful and very pleasant..

Room wasn’t available straight away even though we arrived after 3pm. Dusty rooms, dark, hair in bathtub, came back to the room to find a bug crawling in my suitcase. Just didn’t feel like a 5 star establishment. Terrible nights sleep, the noise from 5am was awful, furniture dragging, things being dropped, no soundproofing, heavy footed people upstairs. Away for 2 weeks driving across northern Spain, here for just one night and this was the most expensive per night, by far the worst. We had a small car so parking was easy, just be wary it gets busy and many people have big cars so it can be tight squeeze.

Great hotel. Air conditioning worked well in November to keep my wife cool for sleeping. Bed was really comfy and the property was lovely. Enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and coffee as well as the dinners. The short walk to the historic center and Cathedral de Santiago was great. It rained the entire time we were there but the service, food and comfortable room made up for not being to explore as much of the town as we wanted. Excellent and friendly service. Also great on site underground parking garage. Would highly recommend staying here.

The hotel is far from a five star property. The common areas are very nice and the restaurant had great food. The location is slightly outside the center, which makes for a quiet location. Unfortunately, the rooms are dated. The bed was rackety, the pillows hard synthetic material and the bathtub/shower builder grade cheap materials, and not that well cleaned at that. We arrived late and had a restaurant reservation, so the person at the desk suggested we leave our luggage at the desk and go eat first - a reasonable suggestion, however, in most hotels of this caliber, they would bring the luggage to your room for you. Overall, we would not stay there again.

Overpriced; got mixed feelings on quality of staff's attention. My room was not made / cleaned for two days, first day was my fault, as I left the do not disturbed sign by mistake, but second day I made sure not to leave it, left at 9 am and came back 10 pm just to find my room exactly the same. A/C did not work well, had to open the three windows wide open. Room is noisy, wood floor, and I can tell staff cleans the rooms as the first day I stayed long in the morning I could hear the cleaning staff moving beds and stuff on the room above me. Our group booked three rooms, two of my friends got a courtesy Santiago cake on their rooms, which the Hotel if famous for, I did not really care about it, but when we were going out and passed by the front desk I told them that I did not get any, as a joke, and they apologized and said they were sending some so I would hae it by my return. Got to the room at night, nothing, this is what bothered me, the failure to make it right. Breakfast was very good, and restaurant and bar staff were very cordial and attentive. Bed was comfortable, bedsheets clean and relatively new. Plenty of hot water, boiling if you like, this is a plus. For what I paid, I did not feel the hotel was worth it, I have stayed in better places for less $. Not what you expect from an AC by Marriott hotel.

Very nice hotel near Santiago's attractions. Staff was very helpful with retrieving taxis throughout stay. Use of Keurig (only with an upgraded room apparently, otherwise there's coffee service in the lobby) was nice though we could have used a kettle as well (or in lieu of). The room was very well appointed with nice touches with two doors overlooking the garden. The small metal light next to bed runs very hot (I burnt my finger) so be careful not to touch it directly to move it around (there's a small metal attachment on the lamp I didn't see in time), but even still keep children completely away from it (imo).

The hotel was ok but for $400/night we expected more. Rooms were small & beds were queen size. Breakfast was the highlight and servers in the dining room were very nice. People at the front desk.- some were nice, and others had an attitude so not so muc. They weren’t able to provide a lot of information or suggestions of what to do and where to go. Bellman was very nice.

It was a beautiful, historical location. The decir is simple but comfortable. The location is well situated and accessible to the center if historic city. The hotel director left us a wonderful welcome letter, explaining the history of the hotel. Along with the letter we received a wonderful small “Tarta De Santiago,” the hotel’s special version of the local specialty. The staff is friendly and helpful with any request. The restaurant had a nice buffet breakfast. The dinner menu could use some daily variations.

Nicely located hotel 10 minutes walk to the cathedral. Very helpful lady receptionist on check in. However, everything went downhill on return to the hotel in the late afternoon, managed to get access to our room, only for the phone to ring a couple of minutes later with someone shouting in Spanish, I asked if they could please speak in English, another person came on the line, saying that we had to move our car. I asked why, as I knew that it was not in anybody's way, then he said "oh that's not room 111" and put the phone down. I went down to reception, but nobody admitted knowing anything??? In the early evening, there was excessive noise from the room above, someone continuously walking up and down, with a very heavy tread. On the way out for dinner, asked male receptionist about the noise, but no comment or help given. Returned to the hotel and went to bed, about 11pm, at 11:20 noise started again for 15 minutes. Went to sleep, then awoken by more noise at 12:20. Went to sleep after a while, awoken again just after 7am, with 20 minutes more noise. Finally got back to sleep. by about 8am, to be woken up again at 8:10 as the noise started again for another 15 minutes. Went for breakfast at 9:30 as agreed with the hotel, no tables were available that were clean, fairly poor selection, so called scrambled egg was completely solid, potato cakes were cold. Toaster turned off? Coffee machine did not work properly. Mentioned noise on check out, just told "It's an old building"
