Baymont by Wyndham Washington Court House

Good location being close to the interstate, shopping and some restaurants.. The hotel is older and shows wear and tear, however our room was clean and comfortable. The older heating/cooling unit was noisy, but it covered the racket from children and loud adults in the hallways. The outside of the hotel is in need of a cleanup, and on first look, it looked sketchy. Curtains at the window torn and falling, old rusty, wrecked cars in lot, smell of marijuana in the hallways. The staff was pleasant, the pool area looked clean and the water was crystal clear. All in all - it was find for a nights rest after travel.

Hallways and stairways dirty- someone actually wrote their name in the dust. Main concern out side door latch broken so it couldn’t lock. Didn’t make feel secure or safe. Unfortunately, there weren’t any hotels available in the area due to several events taking place.

Nice uneventful experience. Warm inside swimming pool. Breakfast was warm and plentiful. With fruits and cold cereal. Staff was friendly and engaged in conversations. Web page advertising included a fitness room,,but was disconnected. Web page needs to reflect that. Free public wifi,however the public computer password was not made known. Had to use it when a staff member was around. Public printer could not be accessed. Had to go behind terminal counter at front desk to somehow use it. Nearby walking distance restaurants. Quiet sleeping area away from main road. Stayed two nights and enjoyed the stay

The first room we were put in had bed bugs on the pillows so we took pillow and bug down to front desk the didn’t act like it was a problem. We ask to be moved to a different room. They did move us and had no issues. The hot tub was not working.

Staff friendly. Had ground floor room convenient to parking. Excellent breakfast - waffles sausage eggs coffee. gorgeous pool. nice safe area with convenient places to eat. clean and reasonably priced. freezer as well as refrigerator and microwave and coffee maker. Rooms are dated and could use some minor maintenance. overall better than expected

One Star – Lied About the Pool and Refused to Cancel I booked this hotel through Expedia specifically because it said it had a pool, which was the only reason I stopped after driving ten hours with kids. Before booking, I even called the hotel directly and asked when the pool closed. The man said 10 p.m. every night. So I booked it at 6 p.m. through Expedia. When I arrived, there were signs everywhere saying the pool had been shut down for two days already and would stay closed for three more. No one told me that on the phone, and it wasn’t listed on Expedia either. I immediately told the front desk I wanted to cancel, and the woman rudely told me I had to do it through Expedia. But Expedia wouldn’t let me cancel because it was after 3 p.m. check-in—even though I didn’t even book the room until 6 p.m. I went back in and asked the woman to cancel it on her end. My name was clearly on the screen, and I hadn’t checked in. She flat-out refused and acted like I was lying about calling earlier, even after I showed her I called the correct number. Thankfully, I had bought the $5 trip insurance and spent half an hour on the phone with them. After they contacted the hotel directly, suddenly it could be canceled. So yes—they could have canceled it all along. They just didn’t want to. Terrible experience, rude staff, and shame on Expedia for not allowing a cancellation for a service that wasn’t even available. If I hadn’t bought the insurance, I would’ve been completely out of luc

Was very happy with the price and cleanliness. The breakfast was amazing. The pool was great and heated. The front desk was pleasant and helpful.

Outside looks very run down. Had to change rooms after we arrived after finding underwear on the floor and the room safe sitting on the floor broken off the wall of our original room. Also my daughters were really excited to swim in the pool but when we arrived, the pool was closed down and empty until April 6th.

You get what you pay for! Surrounding area has shopping and restaurants. It's close to hwy 71 but considerably quiet. Staff were helpful and the breakfast spread was great. The gym seems eternally closed. The biggest issues are with the guest suites. They border between filthy and disgusting. Mgmt seem to be piecemealing superficial upgrades like new furniture here and there. These do little to mask structural problems like dead outlets, weak toilets, crumbling ceilings. I demanded my room be switched because of the stench of smoke in my first room but there were numerous biohazardy objects discovered in both. They downgraded my room without compensation but I was just happy to escape the freshner doused smoking room. Tip: thoroughly check your room before you settle in!

This was exactly what the family and I needed for only two nights while we drove to and then back from Pittsburgh for the final move from our home. That being said, there were a few big things that stuck out to me and prevented me from scoring them higher. Out check in day was an extremely hot day, and the AC unit was not left on in the room before our arrival. As we arrived later in the day, the room was scorching and honestly the little wall unit did not keep up with the heat, which made for a brutal night. Second night was fine but please turn the AC units on for rooms you know you have guest checking into. Additionally the AC in the upstairs hallways was kept off so that prevented in residual AC from coming into the room. While the room was exactly what I expected for the price, it really was in need of a refresh. Broken lights, missing light covers, paint overspray, it was somewhat all over the place. Again, exactly what we needed for the brief stay, but more could easily be done to have made it a 5 star stay. Excellent indoor pool! Again, AC was off in the indoor section so it was a sauna unless you were in the pool, but it was super clean and enjoyable for my little man and I.

We booked a room with king bed and online it showed 4 available. When we checked in we were told there were only queen beds available. The place was under renovation so there was paint and stuff everywhere on the floor. When we opened the door to our room, there were 2 5 gal buckets of paint in the doorway and everything was a mess. We went back downstairs to tell the clerk. He stated he didn’t know what rooms were clean and what weren’t and that he’d have to clean one. Mind you, it was 230 am and we were ready to get some rest. He comes back after a few mins saying he had another room ready. So we go back upstairs to the new room. The first bed had a huge stain on the upper left corner but the other one was surprisingly clean. It was advertised that breakfast was included but in fact it wasn’t. The faucet handle fell off each time you used it and the bathroom did not have a shower curtain.

Nasty tissue in peep hole in door. Light switch turned on and off the microwave desk chair had seen better days. Was afraid to turn air on heater looked like it was going to fall apart if touched.

My wife checked into the room and found it disgusting. There was underwear on the bathroom floor, hair all over the floor and toilet. Carpet was not vacuumed, she could write her name in the dust on the safe. The chairs were dirty and stained. The refrigerator was not cleaned (crumbs and stains). Lamp shades were broken, hallways were not vacuumed. She asked to speak to the manager, the women at the front desk went to a back room where my wife heard the guy say "tell her there is no one available". And the sign indicates a manager on site 24/7. Additionally, there was peeling paint, ceiling water damage, and dirt/dust/paint flecks on the air conditioner/heater. So my wife asked for her money back and was told because it was booked through a 3rd party, she needed to contact them for reimbursement. In the many decades we have traveled and stayed at hotels, this was magnitudes more terrible than anywhere else. We also learned, after the fact, that this Baymont hotel by Wyndham is independently owned and not affiliated with Baymont. How can they use their name? Very misleading. Now, for all future stays at any hotel, we will need to dig deeper into the specific one we choose. Very disappointing to the point of frustration.

Staff was friendly but the room was not clean. The tub had green soap and hair on it from the previous guest and hard water stains all over. There was a used towel hanging on the door. The floors were dirty and sticky. There was black hair all over the white bedsheets. The air vents were filled with lint and was causing the room to smell. It was extremely unfortunate for spending over $100. I could not get a good nights sleep in the hotel.

The room was filthy. Wrappers under the bed. Used coffee stuff with the new coffee stuff. Toilet paper.stuck to the shower wall.

I went to the bathroom one morning looked up at the top of the shower there was a cockroach staring at me like he owned the building.

Infested with bed bugs. Received different room and still woke up to bed bug bites. State action is needed.

We stayed here, like most do, just due to location. We were shocked by the excessive perfume sprayed on the carpets to mask dirty/ moldy/ damp odors. Room was very stinky. So much so we thought someone had smoked in a non smoking room. Room has a serious lack of...outlets ( only plug in ones at the base of the wall sconces) attention to correctly completing upgrade attempts. Said wall sconces were not attached correctly and move sideways when you plug in. Bathroom floor redo, corner under door wasn't cut correctly and shows wires from sub floor underneath. Said new floor is paint splattered from the wall paint being touched up. Room amenties are very skimpy. Coffee service not replenshed and sugar/ creamer packs were both open, used. The room AC felt like a swamp cooler which intensified the damp odors. Window curtains didnt quite cover edges. Popcorn ceiling has water damage repairs. It did show efforts but executions were awful. Breakfast ran out of OJ with zero to replace. Serving bowl for fruit spotted with grime..

Avoid. The hotel is worn down and dirty. Room was filthy, floor not mopped and carpet not vacuumed. The toilet was broken and a plunger in a plastic bag was placed beside the pan so they obviously knew it was broken. Half of the lamps didn't work, lamps and surfaces covered in dust. Asked for another room and they claimed hotel was full. Unable to use the toilet for the duration. Breakfast looked disgusting, well what was there. Went next door to Bob Evans for breakfast. Terrible place, avoid at all costs.

Hotel was older and not updated. There was no elevator, which is a major inconvenience for a handicapped person. Bathroom was mostly clean, but toilet wasn't. Upholstered furniture was stained. The telephone in the room had no dial tone, but the desk agent told me it did work. The TV remote would not work, but the desk replaced it and it worked fine after that. The bed was pretty comfortable.

No hot water.

All was good except for traffic noise.

Room was great shower a little outdated by good…breakfast was okay as well. Orange juice tasted weird but other than that good stay…bed was comfortable

The bed was horrible. The AC would was not temperature controlled and even with blankets, it was really cold. Finally had to completely shut it off.

The room smelled of stale smoke. There was a musty smell when I opened the door. The clothes I wore smelled the next day. The phone and a light next to the bed didn’t work. An alarm next to my room went off at 6am for about 10 minutes before it finally stopped.

Staff was amazing and made the stay absolutely worthwhile. They couldn’t have been any nicer. One of our rooms smelled horrible like cigarette smoke and they were able to address the next day. Rooms are aging but for the price they fit the need. Plenty of food in the area and the pool is great.

Tried to request an extended checkout at 8:20 in the morning never heard anything back tried calling the front desk while I was at work because my wife was asleep in the room no one picked up the phone but they continued to harass my wife and just stood outside the door without knocking

It took a long time to get there as mapquest took me for a trip on the country roads and had the hotel in run down trailer court. Hotel room was very dark. Didn't feel safe there. Night person was just short of being rude. Morning manager was much better.

Everything was great and Pam at the front desk is always so kind and friendly

Gentleman at front desk was very friendly and accommodating, we went to check in early and he told us the room wasn't ready yet but let us checkin and get the room key. Said it would be around 3. When we came back, she was finishing up mopping, and carried 2 large bags of trash out of the room. Whomever stayed the night before absolutely trashed the room. They finished moppiand apologized, we told them no need for apologies they couldn't help what idiots do. It took that poor girl over an hour to clean up the roomit was so trashed.

A very bad experience supposed to have two nights and because it was eleven pm when I got in there and they canceled because they said I wasn’t there after four I will not stay there ever again they even gave our room to another couple and took our stuff out of the room instead of waiting till we got back to room even tho they said I had one night not two so I took my stuff and left and went down the road and stayed at a real nice Microtel in dry ridge ky

The toilet was broken and made a filling noise every 5 seconds, floor dirty with last occupants muddy boot prints, main light switch broken. Do not stay here unless any other option. Front desk clerk/manager/owner tossed my key across the desk to me because he was mad I booked with Expedia, rude at check-in and check-out. Raised his voice at me. Completely unacceptable behavior.

The immediate area was safe and walkable.

We stoped here for the night on our way back from Sturgis. We had enclosed trailer and had plenty of parking on back side to parking lot which our room we got we could see trailer from window. Hotel was very clean with comfortable bed and pillows. Met our expectations for a one night stop.

The Baymont was a convenient motel off of 71 on our way to Tennessee and our way back home!

A quick trip to Xenia where the event i was attending is held. Courteous staff. Very quiet.

Lobby and pool nice. Room was clean with new window covering. Nice location off 71.

The room was more updated and fine with basic furnishings, but the hallways and lobby were run down and smelled of old food and weed. Breakfast was not great - cold sausage/eggs/gravy, the butter and cream cheese packets were sticky, etc…

Renovation is taking place. Hot breakfast not being served. Continental instead. Commode was plugged and we had to move to another room. Stayed in Vaymont before in several locations. This one is very disappointing.

When I checked in the front desk, it was very limited interaction and he gave me one key card and a used card sleeve. The bed and room were OK but the bathroom had hair on the sink. One overhead light was out and the overhead lamp heater didn’t work And it needed several other repairs. The breakfast was average, but the person that was supposed to tend to that area was also in charge of the front desk and he didn’t either. He just sat on the couch with his shoes off on the phone.

Hotel not kept thst clean. You can tell cleanliness was not a priority. Found a dental flosser lying on our bedside table when we went into our room!! And, they didn’t let us know there was construction going on. It was a mess. Breakfast was minuscule…no coffee…it was empty!

No free breakfast as mentioned in the the description of the hotel but overall nice place, clean rooms and nice pool. Coffee only in the room.

Close to the interstate so heard traffic all night. Do not rely on the breakfast which is uninspired. Was a place to sleep overnight for 2 day travel. Personnel, both checking and out, are exceptional.
